Probably the EU Digital Passenger Locator Form - it's all on that Sherpa AA site (which will probably help a bit with your anxiety, it really spells it all out very simply) apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions?affiliateId=americanairlines And, so far so good for us, maybe things will change, maybe they won't - nothing we can control anyway.
What a great video!! I’m currently planning on going to Rome in a couple weeks, sooo excited 🥰 did you guys receive the EU digital certificate to go to Rome?
Well - yes, but it's probably not what you're thinking. For us, the green pass was the app that we had to fill out for our airline - VeriFly in our instance. If you have your completed vaccination certificate and digital passenger locator form, and that's all in the app, you have your green pass.
@@thelmafarr117 I don't think so - I believe you have to have the results before boarding. Check with your airline though - all airlines have different rules.

What was the process for verifying your vaccination/covid test once you arrived? did they re check your documents or just go off what you had already completed/printed online?
so, right - all of our documents were checked by the airline upon departure at the check-in counter. when we arrived in Italy, they did not check any of those documents, just handled immigration because our docs had been checked by our airline. that being said, every restaurant we go to now is checking our vaccination certificate when we enter before we're seated, so be sure to bring all that along when you go out to eat / drink.

Lol, I love this. I usually don't want to share my pizza. Our pizzas in the US are usually 3x as big as yours, so it's just normal to always share. If you ate a whole pizza from Little Caesars on your own, you'd probably die lol
Hello! I was just watching your video and I have a comment about what you said in regards to entering St. Peter's Basilica when women or men are not appropriately dressed. I was surprised when you said that because (having watched) videos about people visiting Buda temples or mosques people are demanded to dress appropriately, and curiously people do not complain about this. When you are entering the basilica you are in the holy of holies, this is where God dwells. I am Catholic and I am appalled when people complain when they are asked to cover their shoulders, or legs upon entering a church, a Cathedral or a Basilica.
Hello! Thanks for the comment and we can understand the sentiment This was one of our first places on our trip, so were fairly surprised (ignorant) about the rules, but have since learned that many places of worship, regardless of religion, require covering up. We have been to churches before where we could show up with shorts or sleeveless tops. In this instance, however, I think the thing that felt more channeling was the arbitrary nature of the rule (ie women only, some people allowed in with tank tops and others could not.) in any case, we have since learned and always bring cover ups with us just in case!

3. Don’t forget that you actually need to fill out the Puglia specific form - it asks for a TON of info - take a look and maybe start that early
@@LisaAndJosh Ok thank you so much.I am calling Alitalia tomorrow anyway so we are on the same page.
@@LisaAndJosh Guys I called Alitalia and the customer service has not been the best.I called 3 times and every time they give me mixed, different information.I was told once that the real seat numbers were not necessary, that I could enter any seat numbers I wanted. WOW!
Also, they are asking me to fill out and print the "SELF DECLARATION COVID-19",which is a document that has been replaced by the Digital Passenger Locator Form.
So you don’t have to take the COVID test prior to flying there? I’m fully vaccinated since December since I work in healthcare. I’m booked to fly out to Italy on August 19. I will also be flying on AA through DFW. It was confusing in regard to get tested pre flight, upon arrival, and return flight. Don’t know what the protocol is. Please let me know what the updated protocol is. Thx
hiya! we do have a video about the updated protocol - ua-cam.com/video/fe0SyrXp9hw/v-deo.html
to summarize:
1. be fully vaccinated
2. fill out digital passenger locator form
3. use VeriFly (AA's app to validate vaccination certificate and digital passenger locator form)
4. go to italy
No idea on return flight - I believe you have to get tested to get back to the US right now?
Use AA's sherpa app to get the most up to date info - it might change before August. apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions?affiliateId=americanairlines
it actually took me longer to write this than the video is explaining it, lol :)
@@LisaAndJosh thank you. 🙏 Enjoy your trip. And please post the return trip protocol. 😀
@@nicklow6657 You're very welcome :) don't hold your breath for that video... we aren't coming home for a year!
We traveled to Rome twice and we traveled with the Ospreys! ENJOY!!!!
Amazing! We both had ospreys before and loved them too. We are trying Cotopaxi right now and like the compartments so far
Italy, the most beautiful country in the world ...
We’re having such a great time here - everyone has been so nice!!
Watching many Americans vlogs travelling here in Italy, I realised you usually share a pizza, right?
How?! Us Italians could never hahaha I would never share it with no one😂
Lol, I love this. I usually don't want to share my pizza. Our pizzas in the US are usually 3x as big as yours, so it's just normal to always share. If you ate a whole pizza from Little Caesars on your own, you'd probably die lol
what was the name of the hotel you stayed at it Rome?
We stayed at the Merulana Holidays-loved it, very sweet people and accommodations

thank you so much!!
Wow, congratulations. You made it. Enjoy your honeymoon. New friend here.
Thanks for finding us!! :)
Mr. and Mrs. Whiner go to Rome. Mrs. Whiner should put a decent pair of shoes on her 9-toe nailed feet, and they both messed up in not leaving enough time to transfer their flight in Dallas Fort Worth, of all places.
Hahahahahahah thanks so much for watching
Hope you’re kidding, MS 😱
Congratulations, your honeymoon!!!! I’m so happy for you two!!
Thank you!! :) :)
So good to hear from you. Hope alls well, we miss you!!!
