Thanks everyone!

I would very likely grant this guitar to all who cannot afford an expensive Rickenbacker, it gives the Byrds sound for more than half the price. I am for that reason also very pleased with my Hagström Viking DLX12.
Wicked! Gotta love a 12 string
Adding a virtual Jeff could be great fun!🙂👍🎸
That could be a lot of fun! I did use the Virtual Jeff to turn the guitar into a baritone 12 string in one of the tracks…that was fun too!!
Sounds great guys!
Thanks Terry
Hello, From the States (UsA)
Thanks for Sharing
Yes I built a 12 string tremolo jazzmaster using a 12string TOM bridge with 12 individual adjustable saddles. LOVE the sound and it stays intune reasonably well.
Oh…I gotta check that out!! Thank you
This guitar is super fun!
It sure is!!
my opinion is best sound is clean with compression/sustainer pedal. sounds really awesome that way with a digi delay
I know that Vox made a 12-string tremolo back in the 60s, but I am unaware of any contemporary manufacturers. The pickups really shine in this format, definitely worth picking up one if you're interested.
Yeah…Mosrite had a 12 string with a trem too…but I don’t think there is anything that’s currently made
Eastwood Sidejack 12 DLX
@@SMAWA9 oh wow…that’s a jazzmaster style trem for a 12 string…I need to check that out!! Thanks @SMAWA9
I had a Vox Phantom XII with a Bigsby-style vibrato in the ‘60s; it was a nightmare to restring (although not as bad as a Rickenbacker 360/12!) and even worse to tune. A vibrato is worse than useless on a 12-string. If you want to do dive-bombs with a sort-of 12-string sound, get out your heavy-metal Floyd Rose-equipped guitar and run it through a Digitech Mosaic 12-string-effect pedal, if you can find one.
Right now for my 12 string thing I use a DigiTech Mosaic 12 string pedal using a Fender Duo Sonic but with a Rickenbacker PU put at the neck. This is impressive though I would be tempted to put Ric PU's in it. Ric sells them as replacement parts so you can get them. They make them from scratch right down to the covers that are triple plated and real scatterwound hand winding. It is $90.00 USD ea. for single coil and $160.00 USD ea. for a dual coil Toaster PU.
That’s cool…
Together with this guitar and my Hagström VIking DLX12, I can also recommend the Guild Starfire I12 if you want a cheap Rickenbacker alternative. Especially the Hagström and the Guild stay far better in tune.
Matching headstocks should be standard ON EVERY OFFSET GUITAR!
Yes…absolutely!!
Classic to Fender- Squire, narrow necks prevail:(
Ok so many comments here (1) has Alex just returned from 6 months at sea 🤣 (2) what a fantastic guitar sounds so full when playing clean or distorted (3) first time I have seen an electric 12 string normally only see them acoustic so this is very cool. (4) that must be a killer to try and bend a double string (5) how do they deal with pick ups on the double string seems to work though. Really impressed guys.
Haha…yeah…’Captain Beige’ aka Alex loves his sea voyages!
I really liked this guitar…I never thought that I would but I really did! I particularly liked it with the low tuning thanks to the Virtual Jeff …baritone 12 string is something I could definitely see myself using…
Mine is arriving tomorrow...only concern I have heard is that intonation has been a problem for a few people. Did you guys have any issues with setup/intonation?
No…it seemed fine to me!! I only had the guitar for a couple of weeks and never changed the strings though!!
@@TSFAHTPS Thanks for the reply!
I just received one yesterday from MF. Mine was a “blemished “ model basically meaning it had some pick scrapes on the pickguard. If had obviously been a Demo somewhere, but it also arrived perfectly set up. I just had to tune it up and start playing for 5 hours straight.
I’m beyond happy with mine. It actually sounds better than my USA made Strat and Tele.
@@jackhaugh Mine was almost perfectly tuned and it was perfectly intonated out of the box. I bought directly from Fender. Color me impressed.
Can you play Hey Joe/Little Wing of Jimmy Hendrix in this guitar 12 strings??
Sure you can play anything on a 12 string
Bending is much harder though.
@@monoscopes oh yes
Mosrite 12 with vibrato unit
Oh yes…that’s right they did do that!!
I can get a original 1966 Fender X11 12 string for USD$900 - would this compare well to the classic Fender or not even close?
I think if you can get an original 66 XII then get that…I would definitely get the original over a Squier
@@TSFAHTPS ok thanks.
@@TSFAHTPS ok thank you
I saw Landon do a review of this . The g strings are in unison. I prefer octaves on the g .
Not sure what Landon did to his guitar but the one I got came with a higher octave string on the G…only the E & B strings are in unison! Either way you can always change the strings to whatever you like
2:28 if they painted the headstock they could add $100 to the price and it would sell out.
Yeah I think a matching headstock would look amazing!!
Nah! ... makes it look like a 'toyrus' special offer! 😂👍🏴
Just bought the white one, nice guitar for the price, however, the machine heads are absolute fucking garbage!
All sorts of uses for a 12 string but if I had to pick one thing or person it’s known for Tom Petty would be probably the top of my list, that or Leadbelly the king of the 12 string. Definitely 2 great artists.
Oh ps if you’re going to do the heavy thing w/ a 12 try tuning it in 5ths so every string pair is now a simple power cord. You’re welcome.
Oh…that’s cool!!
