I am Catholic the church does not tolerate and accept this kind of practice. What I see here is actually a type of cultural fanaticism, cult,superticious beliefs and sorcery which is totally against GOD's eyes and the teaching of the church. I do venerate the black nazarene and what that image represents which is Christ.
Seeing the black Nazarene image reminds me of his hardship, sufferings and love Jesus has to endure so we could attain salvation. To the other devotees do good, go to mass, read the scriptures, be generous, visit the sick, do penance and be kind to our neighbors this is what Christ and the church teaches and want from us rather focus on these unfounded beliefs and practices which for non-catholics and some Christian sects is confusing and might be interpreted as a way Catholics worship GOD. For those who don't share our beliefs this is not how we focus our faith.
