you can and should build a tarp and tape pole tent in 3 hours. Later, you can build a raised pole-bed in 3 more hours, You dont need more of a shelter for a month. Then you need to add an external pole frame, a 6" thick layer of dry debris, and the producer's 10x16 ft tarp. That suffices, again with no heat source and no sleeping bag, for another month. then you need to convert the producer's tarp into a debris-stuffed sleeping bag, and cover the layer of dry debris on the tent with three 2" thick layers of wet debris. Let each layer freeze solidly before adding the next layer. this will suffice down to 0F, which they will never see, without any sleeping bag or heat source inside of the tent

You dont want the bow, axe, saw, paracord, gillnet, fishing kit, snarewire, cookpot, sleeping bag, belt knife or ferrorod, You DO want the slingbow, reflective 12x12 tarp, reflective XL size tyvek bivy, 2 person cotton rope hammock, the saw-edged shovel, the modified Crunch multitool, the big roll of duct tape, the rations of pemmican and GORP and the 3 lb block of salt.
they waste 1-3 weeks on a shelter that's so pee poor that it needs a fire inside of it. Then they waste 2 more weeks on firewood, a week on boiling 2 qts of water at a time, 3x per week, instead of stoneboiling 5 gallons at a time, in a pit, 2x per week. In a 3 day weekend, I can teach anyone to last a month longer than they would have done without my training. Every season, a month has been the difference between 4th place and the win
@@therealityguys8857 yeah, but they know better than to allow it. after I made the Campfire girls look SO bad, they'd have to have MUCH better contestants. That would cost them a lot and gain them almost nothing, so they'll never let me on the show. I"m going to sneak a woman trainee on the show some day, tho. Just watch. All it will take is for her to say she's a lesbia, have MS, be non-white, 3 kids and a sob=story, and send them a video of her making a bow drill set as she walks thru the woods and starting a fire with it. They'll send a PLANE for her.

my error, they boil 2 qts 3x per DAY, not per week. sorry
