5 hours later, I give up. The bracket is angled so the channel pulls back, it's impossible, even when I thought i was close, the bikini top would just pop out of the channel

What is the plastic piece called that the visors snap into?
I have a TJ, and tried to put speakers in the center of my windshield, but found out later that they could not connect to the stock radio. I want to take them out, but I have a giant hole in the piece and it would look awful without them. ...
You have a choice: you can get a safari Bikini that uses a no drill style, or one that uses the drill-in style. Unless you've got a really strong reason, I'd suggest the NO DRILL. Any Bikini top that uses 51238 header is no drill (and should be labeled a "head bikini"). If it uses the 51210 channel, that's the drill-in. Check bestop.com for details.
With regards to the clamp on header, I've tried every way I know to keep the header from shifting backwards as I tighten the bolts down and nothing seems to work. I've even tried using a different header from another company but no luck. Incredibly frustrating! A good idea but a poor design? probably. Would longer bolts work? As I said, Incredibly frustrating experience.
This video contradicts your more recent video entirely. The more recent video shows the install of the header with brackets sloped towards the driver, not the windshield. @besttop really messed up the instructions on this one both in the manual and online!
Hey Anthony! This is video is likely getting outdated and was shot almost 10 years old. Could you let me know which part of the video you are describing so I can take a look at it to figure out the issue?
@@BestopTeam @ the 5:30 mark you're advising people to do it differently than the instructions we received with your product. What you're showing here is correct and the only place I have found it to be shown. It has to do with which way to mount the kleats on the header/rail. Bullshit on the JK. Imagine that the fabric is there????? It is impossible to get it on with the top on the header. Putting it on without the top is simple!
