Earndil's reaction realizing they weren't going guns blazing after they really did make it seem like they were is why he gets to play ass holes like Vic and murder party members with Chainsaw cars.
I just found this through shorts. But i was wondering if oran's family owned a ratburger chain. Really enjoying the content, now back to the beginning of rotgrind with me.
@WASDLeftClick Marketing research said a few people thought salve and ointment was redundant but most liked the idea of covering themselves Man Cream. the remaining 10% didn't know what salve meant.
This episode really points out what i see as a glaring issue with this group. Whenever any actual planning is involved, their character motivation gets thrown out the window for the most part and then gets reshaped around whatever will cast the widest net of being safe in an unknown situation. Baldric wants and would use stealth to scout but that isnt going to happen because diplomacy is the smartest option. I can really feel Earndil's frustration with this.
The ironic twist to this is that it's inconsistent. Baldric allows this regarding his stuff because it's part of his character to make personal sacrifices for the group, etc. But as we've seen time and time again, the other's characters have few qualms with doing something zany that will throw off the plan because of an urge, whether its pulling a gun on a random girl during a diplomatic meet and greet, getting drunk instead of questioning or listening to anyone, murdering a talking bird because it said something rude to them and getting a whole gang of them to attack, etc. It was the same dynamic in warhams, and in warhams fantasy. Earndil plays (relatively) sensible people, and the others often don't, and would rather commit to a bit or something dangerous while relying on him to reign them in. With this group he tried twisting it by playing a terrorrist only for speaker-d to hijack that bit by playing the less rational terrorist, and so it continued. It's also why things got so wild which vic was in the party - because she was a character who couldn't and wouldn't do any of that, and didn't give a shit, and now they had to reign HER in, and they really struggled to do so (in a pretty ironic twist, giving them a taste of their own medicine, finally).
Hey they caused those wounds, it’s only fair they help to heal them. Also the prions aren’t going to survive chemical fire that disintegrates corpses. (Burning bones take insane amount of heat.)
so they have no evidence of the happening in the solitude? what about those research notes tannhauser found in the perfectite structure? maybe the gang should start have someone take and keep notes from session to session.
A calmer, preparatory session, with plenty of funnies, that imho was needed after the high tension ambush that happened last time 😉 Good episode! For the algorithm! 👍
As a side question thought I know this is late does Baldric not have a potion of Invisibility from his Goons episode coming back from the Solitude? I don’t remember him using it and I thought Beetle gave it to him

Baldric having a 17 in stealth makes him a B-17 stealth bomber
A B2 spirit in human form.
My sides
Rotgrind as I get off work, a blessed day this is
Makes my day better too
“Times are great.”
Man I feel bad for Earndil in this episode, he sounds so tiered and annoyed
Earndil is MoodKindred
So he sounds normal then?
Nah that's just Earndil being Earndil
If he is he deserves it he's not the protagonist and he's grating

So far, I've been laughing hard while I listen at work.

Shot in the dark but were you referencing someone that perhaps had a favorite brick and named a cart something silly?

You do not recognise the bodies in the gamer fire?
How the hell do you stuff a druidic mansion in the middle of such a large city?? Praise be to Thurston, I'm so jealous of his DM-ing skills...
I don’t mean to be a meta gamer or anything. But can Baldric just find the rotgoons and give the monk crap to Heart?
The most forbidden of chemistries
Hold on! hold on! They have podcast????!!!!!!!!
