Dear Professor, you have made my day. I live in Wokingham and was looking forward to seeing Rodweed lose his seat at the election. He's taken the coward's way out and I for one say good riddance to bad rubbish.
It takes a few weeks to get the clearance for Redwood's flight back to Planet Zarg...
70 MPS not standing , is this a new record , ? Maybe this is the best achievement of the tories over the last 14 years 🤔
only about ten short of their nonsense 80 seat majority , on less than 45 % of the total vote at the general election.
Two party politics should make way for some form of proportional representation.
The ‘ Vulcan’, aka the Wokingham MP is at last going into eternal orbit….
Redwood is one of the worst of the Tories. There are so many terrible people in that party.
The MP for Woke (ingham). What an anchor he's been throughout. He is right up there with the worst of 'em
Nasty nasty
Good riddance to ‘Spock’ Redwood.
Redwood or Deadwood a tribute to the art of the Embalmer
The House OF cards scuttle off in our broken country.
the ship is sinking🤠
Larry the Chief Mouser treated for obesity!!
I hope its a really deep part of the ocean
That Redwood will shuffle away demonstrates how big a hole the Tories have fallen into. They're done.
He is retiring.
@@Andrew-rc3vh Hardly, he says "I have other things I wish to do" and "I will continue to contribute to the debates about public policy”.
@@nickbarton3191 Sure he has other things to do, like I expect he will want a holiday after all of this, but I think he still cares for the country that he will lend his experience to others. It is the right way to go.
@@Andrew-rc3vh The right way to go is stand as a candidate if he believes he has something to offer. Utterly disingenuous.
@@nickbarton3191 No, not at all. He will do it as a gesture of good will. Many Brits only work if it pays.
Redwood, creepy then, creepy now.
As creepy as Hugh Ed wards?
That last clip - priceless!! Good riddance no matter who succeeds him.
Tories sinking ship 😂😂😂😂
Its about half way to the sea floor
No they're getting lifeboats and will be just fine. We're stuck on deck with water up to our ankles.
They are preparing for bunker life - literally.
Redwood is leaving Parliament of his own volition?
Yippee!
Better late than never.
It would have been nicer if he'd been ejected out of parliament, but I'll take it.
It's a great headline. Churchill quits the government.
Rats in a sack !! Nice one Tim 👍👍🏴
'An broken record of being second rate' Brilliant!
It ain’t worth it to stand anymore. What I’m more surprised is why so many Tory MPs aren’t angry at Sunak.
😂😂😂 “But, She makes a good soup. As you can hear here!”
Thank you Tim, needed a laugh! Wodehousean level.
Can't get lobby money from the opposite bench I guess
I'm sure there's a "Deadwood Stage," parody in there somewhere.
Where's Randy Rainbow when you need him?
🌈 😉😉
Nice Welsh sound off at the end ❤
John redwood off you go 😂😂😂
Your graciousness and generosity is very apparent in this reaction video to those whose political careers are to become a marginal note in history. We should not forget them. Their legacy should be taught as a warning to our future generations.
It was nice to hear you speak Welsh, I tried to learn it myself for a while some years ago when I was home school my children. It was so much fun doing it as a family.
Just seen a news flash, Gove has thrown in the towel. It gets better and better!
Minsters? Shurely shome mistake. Don't you mean "Monsters"?! Keep up the good work,Prof,I look forward to all your videos.
Huw Merriman says he wants to start a new new journey, I guess it won't be by train?
this has nothing to do with an alleged scandal with Land Registry
They are not worth a light anyway...
Is that the Welsh Secretary who couldn’t think of how to spend his budget, so he returned it to Westminster !!!
Good Riddance Redwood!
Public servant to the end 😂😂
I’ll always remember this dolls head moment
For that parting shot of Redwood singing "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau"; much thanks.
🤣😂🤣 🏴
Professor, just heard sunak intends to bring back national service! Just how low can the Tories get!! Trying to drag Britain back to the Dickensian era and the poor will go to the workhouse ! Totally incredible!! Would like your comments!!!
What a loss to national politics! How on Earth will we manage to continue without them? ( that's sarcasm for those who think they have done a good job). More effluent going into the environment.
76 now more than in 1997.
never heard of either of them, they won't be missed.
How about Sir Michael Ellis M P for Northampton North. Former Solicitor-General, Attorney-General, one of the most shameless apologists for Boris Johnson. No wonder he is jumping ship!
😂Hark ! Can you hear them sheepishly popping down the cucumber sandwiches and sneaking out of the buffet Room back door . You’ll see then running down the rd followed by a problematic fall in to an open sewerage man hole . 😂 eeew 😂🍎👏🏻👏🏻
72 now 🎉🎉🎉🎉
How bad were the politicians in wokingham, when John Deadwood was their MP for 36 years? Absolutely braindead
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak seems to be quite effective in his job. In politics. 🖤😎👍
The rats are leaving the sinking ship.
The worrying part is that the next goverment will not have the funds to do what is required
to return this country to what we used to be proud of.
It tells a story wrt Redwood that his stand-out achievement is 'I survived 9 parliaments...' -My main contribution to public life is I'm still here and now, I'm gone. LOL
"Every nation is governed as it deserves."
It may have been an urban myth but I heard that Redwood refused to spend a single night in Wales. Not much missed then or now.
Not before time for the space cadet
its now 76!
I would concur that it is indeed good to have differinmg opinions on either side of the aisle, Tim, however, there has been little positivity from the Conservative benches for so long now, one has to wonder why they didn't throw in the towel over a year ago; to quote the inimitable Terry Thomas, "You're an absolute shower...shockers to a man..."
Yay!
Getting out quick before theor kicked out.
Ministers Tim not Minsters! Typing too fast?

@@CuriousCrow-mp4cx So the content creator has absolutely no control over what (Appearing on the screen) gets uploaded? And if what has been uploaded is incorrect, this cannot be corrected by the said content creator? Sounds a load of bullshit to me.
@@CuriousCrow-mp4cx I see it's been corrected, was that Google correcting it then?
The clip of the falling down unveiling sums up the torys time in power nicely, not well built and not built to last 😂.
Even Deadwood’s afraid of loosing
Unbroken record? Doesn't he mean a stuck record?
Rats and ships come to mind
Don’t hate me, but I watched Theresa May’s farewell speech. She was dealt a bad hand as PM and I honestly think she tried her best as a remainer moderate conservative
I agree. BUt she should never have been promoted to the job. She had demonstrated very clearly how useless she was when she was in the home office. That said, her interjections since espevcially about Boris have been very positive and statesmanlike
His twin ress mogg could lose his seat both on GB propaganda channel
Odd how there is an outbreak of family sentiment when the prospect of being sacked by the electorate is imminent.
As for Mr Redwood resigning it's noteworthy that Wokingham been a Consevative held seat since 1950 when it was created as a parliamentary constituency. That being the case Mr Redwood must fear that either the Consevatives are going to lose the seat, or be out of power for more than one Parliament,, or both.
Perhaps Redwood is returning to the planet he came from, he certainly isnt from planet earth.
Redwood looks like Mr Bean at the end of the video.
😂👏💗🍎
Lorks, Spocky’s announcement seems to have triggered a scratchy falsetto. I wonder what it will take to get you up early enough to brush yer Barnett?
Ah John Redwood the father of Brexit. How he will be issued I don’t think.
I'm not sure they are big scalps more like nobody's getting out before getting hammered come polling day , at this rate rishi will be the last man standing on his own. 😂
The title could have been 'Munsters quit parliament'.
Rats
Sewage has its own MP? Is that part of the brown wall?
Redwood and his creepy glare.
Thank god Gove has gone as well. I suppose he'll become a Lord now! Wasn't Redwood nicknamed "Vulcan" after Dr Spock in Star Trek?
I don't like Huw Merriman but;
a) He can put a sentence together. That's why he was everywhere at one point, he was the only one regularly available who could do that.
b) He finally confirmed beyond all doubt that Michael Fabricant wears a wig.
Starmer will take him.
The milkers are falling hoary
Bit of a mud bath.
Wokingham, Battle, Bury St Edmonds - are these real places? I feel they're just settings for eps of Terry and June or Miss Marple...
I just hope labour deal with all the corrupt institutions , do you think they will , I don't .
Japanese Knotweed cannot be eradicated in in a day. Likewise, to remove all the traces of this overgrown and greedy bully of a political culture means locating and removing it's ability to take root again. The current government is only the visible part of the ecosytem, and removing that will do little to prevent it taking root again. We cannot be complacent and imagine that just Starmer gets a majority in Parliament is Mission Accomplished. Not by a long chalk.
As Voltaire said, "People will cease to commit atrocities only when they cease to believe absurdities." And as a nation, we've bought into some absurd notions that made us complicit in our own suffering. And atrocities is not too strong a word for many of the things done to ourselves and others by our misplaced priorities. We need to forget about blame, and encourage accountability. We've played with tearing down stuff to get our way, and have just ended up with more problems than we started with. Time to have patient, diligent and accountable government again. And we have to do our part. Westminster isn't only responsible. We have to start taking ourselves seriously, before anyone else will. And we have to accept that we have to change before things will get better. We have to be the change we want to see in the world before it can happen.
I don t like that man...
Rats leaving the sinking ship.
The Tories are over, it's finished, the rats are deserting in their droves now. Starmer may win this by sheer default, because the way this is going the Tories won't be able to find candidates to fight these seats now going. And which wag thought it a good idea for Sunak to visit the Titanic Museum today on this the second full day of campaigning? Could've been worse, it could've been a visit to an umbrella factory. This whole thing is becoming more Pythonesque by the day. I'm beginning to wonder whether this election was called because the PM got wind of either a growing rebellion against him or that letters were flooding in thick and fast to the 1922 committee, thus staving off a bruising leadership contest by going to the nation. But the way things are now who is going to lead them? Who have they got left? After July 4th it may well be a case of a weekly guest leader rather like the host's chair on Have I Got News For You.....
Redwood has also been the second biggest nuisance next to Jacob Rees Mogg!
😅
... "isters Tim, isters"
John Redwood what a charismatic bloke..not...
We don't vote for people so they can sing a foreign national anthem. John Redwood has done a grand job and always contributed intelligent debate, and is a much better economist than his critics. I'm truly sad to see him go, but for the others I simply have not heard of them.
Lol. You haven't been around very long. If Redwood was any sort of Economist, he would have understood that no country can defy economic gravity, and wouldn't have backed Brexit. He would have done the opposite. Economics as a discipline is wedded to the Scientific Method. Redwood and Minford were wedded to their ideologies and wallets instead, and put aside concrete evidence and facts. I remember his exclamation being caught by the excellent microphones in parliament of how he would have to get his money out of the country. Funny that the press or the Beeb didn't jump on that sebtiment. If only what Jacques Delors said about him and the other Brexiteers were true. All Redwood proves is that Voltaire was right when he said: "People will cease to commit atrocities only when they cease to believe absurdities." And boy, nearly 5 decades of believing the absurdities of the Redwoods in our midst has worked out well, hasn't it?
@@CuriousCrow-mp4cx Voltaire was one of the intellectuals behind the French Revolution, which was the outcome of one of the worst cases of ideological thinking in history. It turned out so bloody that the proponents of it were dismayed by their own handiwork. They never wanted it to turn out as it did, but then you can see how emotion can be a dangerous thing.
Redwood in my view is an adherent to tried and tested capitalist principles of fair competition. Who can say how Brexit will work out in ten years. The world is a complicated thing and it depends on how we approach it. I think we need to forge good trade relations with the Far East and rebuild British manufacturing. We have to move fast and be certain what we are doing though. Who knows what Labour will do, since they wont tell us, so by extension we can not know how well Brexit will work.
Be very careful what you wish for..Just look across the pond..It's heading here..Mibbee that's why they are deserting?...Only my Opinion.
They are all wealthy, they won't be going to the food bank any time soon, or the job centre. ☕💩🧀🐷🚣♂️.
An they say there would be no brexit benefits 😂❤
would expect nothing more from these people
Another one who is being discharged from Westminster Psychiatric wing.
“man the lifeboats” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
