👀 Materials Used:
Hook: Moonlit Premium ML502, Barbless Jig Hook
Bead: Metallic Coffee Brown, 3.0mm
Thread: SFLY Classic Wax 12O
Tail: Whiting Medium Ginger Coq De Leon Fibers
Wire: 2mm Lead-Free Wire (Seer Fly)
Body: Cinnamon Seer Fly 3mm Synthetic Quill
Thorax Dubbing: Vicuna JWC Cinnamon Squirrel Dubbing
Legs: Hairline Micro Grizzly Legs in Root Beer
🔧 Tying Process:
Secure 2mm lead-free wire, wrap five turns, and helicopter out.
Attach ginger Coq De Leon fibers for the tail, shorter than hook shank length.
Tie in synthetic quill sticky side down, wrap with a slight taper.
Secure quill, trim excess, and apply a coat of Seer Fly No Tac UV resin.
Apply Wonder Wax, add a base of cinnamon squirrel dubbing for the thorax.
Tie in micro grizzly legs, adjust length, and secure with wraps.
Add more dubbing for a pronounced thorax, ensuring leg separation.
Whip finish the fly, snip the thread, and trim excess fuzz.
