So good to see you guys back out and making vids. Coincidentally we have ditched our Y62 and just purchased a 79 Series so your vids are very timely and reassuring that our van will tow our van no problems. Welcome back 👍
@@grjh58 we were having issues with the O2 sensors which would cause the vehicle to run rough and engine light to come on. We had 2 sets of O2 sensors replaced in about 6 weeks. Nissan were only interested in fixing what had gone wrong and not trying to find out why the issue kept happening so they could fix that. We just found that we couldn't easily fix problems on the road ourselves. You need to take it to a dealer to put on the computer and that's not always possible if you are remote. The 79 series appears to be a little more old school and it may be easier to problem solve and fix ourselves if something goes wrong as there aren't as many electronics on the car. The Y62 is a great towing machine, very comfortable and very capable. We were just unlucky I suppose.
@@sandythuel951 Gee that was not good and as you say would be an issue on the road in the middle of the outback, I really do like the Y62 but the back up from Nissan I have heard can be sketchy Enjoy your travels and thanks for the reply
Great to see you back sharing your travels especially as we are locked down and under curfew here in Victoria. Can not wait to get our van that we only bought earlier this year out like you guys Please update us re the new tug Also can you show the Cobb in daylight as could not see it when you filmed in the dark 😃, we don’t have an oven in van so this looks great, also is yours the compact or the premier Hope Sophie is getting better👍
Will definitely get the Cobb during the day . It’s the compact . Love it ! Busy doing ribs on it as we speak . Reg the cruiser . We are struggling with the towing as it’s a bit all over the place but hope to get it sorted
@@justvanningit Thanks, looked at some UA-cam vids and the compact looks good Probably need air bags in rear suspension and perhaps bigger springs, sure you will get it worked out. Take care 👍
The 79 sounds very good. I take it, it is a dpf model? What exhaust you have? Cheers

Hi Sandy we are upgrading our Triton to tow our van and we’re leaning to a Y62, why did you get rid of yours for a 79 series? Thanks
