Featuring 50 patch points for using the 20 included patch cables to connect the eight onboard modules in any way imaginable, volca modular was created with “West Coast Style” synthesis in mind, to offer a unique sound and design that deviates from traditional synthesis norms.

This may be Korgs best year in a long time. They’re by far the most exciting of the “big” synth manufacturers, and one of the most exciting overall. I never look forward to Roland, Yamaha, or Moog stuff like I do KORG. Well maybe I do with Moog now but that wasn’t the case 3-4 years about before the Mother 32.

Korg needs to update the 3 original Volcas to include "Global System Parameter" #8 which is for the "Sync input/output unit". This would allow the entire collection of Volcas to sync to “Once a step” (or 4 PPQN). The added bonus is that when the Volca Drum, Volca Kick, or Volca Sample is used as the master clock, the swing settings will extend to all Volcas in the chain.

@@tangiblewaves3581 I *think* I read somewhere that its 3.3v or something like that so some attenuation (or whatever the tech term for scaling CV is) and it should be ok. Arduino and Werkstatt seem to use the same patch leads.

super! i like korg. i have three microkorgs, love them. it totally sux that our only local music store that we have left (dc music) does not stock any korg kit, though they put the korg logo on their ads like they are supposedly a korg dealer.

For my birthday I got a Korg Volca beats on July 25th. And I thought about getting all of the other ones. Even the Modular. Maybe someday I will. But is it even possible to get the other Volca’s? 🤔
Anyone knows if can be played with an Arturia Keystep? I've tried with cv in but I don't know how to do it... 🤣
Try with the sync out from keystep. You might need to set it to the korg click sync setting in the arturia control center on your computer.

Get an Arturia Keystep and you will have a great setup for MIDI interface and sequencing from the Keystep. There are cheaper MIDI to CV converters too.
