It is a nice campsite, well situated in the Cotswolds. As we said, the prime pitches are seasonal, but we were happy with ours, first time we’d used site electricity for a while ;). We did an excess claim, and actually got the window replaced, just before the weekend at Postern Hill just gone.
@@CraftyCampervanners so pleased you got the window sorted. We had a chip in our motorhome screen and they managed to repair it. We also had a chip in the car windscreen and wouldn’t repair as they said in our eye view. Took 2 months before they could fit new one as we were told there was a shortage of Nissan screens!! 🙂
These things seem to be way, way more expensive than they ought to be. Funny what the definition of ‘eye line’ is, you can normally see pretty much the whole screen…

Thanks for that Alan & Sha. Yip, window is eventually fixed, took a bit of prodding of the dealer, but three months later, our view has improved. We’re glad for our brief excursion into the Cotswolds; hope you are both keeping well, Pete & Kaz. 👍👍😀😀
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately Alan has had prostate cancer, but all removed, just a slow road to recovery, hence our videos of Guernsey, got to do something and really looking forward to 2024. Hope to meet you again next year Alan and Sha@@CraftyCampervanners
Kaz hides the battery, I hide the charger- fun times. Got then together last weekend though. The map was a Xmas present, so no idea where it was purchased, a quick look on Amazoon or flea bay might work? Yip, insurance was a good thing to have for sure. 👍

The insurance came to the rescue in the end. If we’d have started the map in campervan days, we’d have knocked of a good portion of Scottish counties. The site was certainly picturesque. 😀😀
Not surprised it's a grand for a new window, it is ridiculous though! I wonder if you could get some acrylic, make a former for the outer and shape it with a bit of heat, the inner I guess is flat. You can buy the bonding stuff in little syringes. Re-use the hinges and handles 🤔
I think the double-skin would have ruled out the repair for us, we did consider a windshield repair kit. The insurance claim route has now worked out, and we are glad for an amazingly clear and scratch free window at the moment. 😀😀👍👍
Looks a lovely site. Sorry to see your broken glass and hope you get it sorted without too much expense. I have a map like yours but mine is too big for our campervan. We only have 4 counties in England left to do. I’ve got two of these counties booked for this year (Buckinghamshire and Greater London) and will complete the other 2 next year (West Sussex and Surrey). Hoping we can get these done on rallies. We did do 6 years in Madge and have carried on in Wanda. Looking to cover some of Wales and a bit of Scotland next year as well. Take care Gill

I’m not cynical, but I believe it may have to do with the £100 for 15mins work….

I’ve seen other UA-camrs do the same job in 15mins max.
