Kevin Love. NBA champion. 3x NBA All-Star. 2011’s Most Improved Player. 2x All-NBA Second Teamer. 2011’s rebounding leader. 2012’s Three Point Shootout champion. 2010 FIBA World Championship Gold medalist. 2012 Olympic Gold medalist. The 2015 season ended for Kevin Love when he had his shoulder dislocated. Fortunately for the Cavaliers, Love returned in free agency, and helped Cleveland capture the 2016 NBA championship. Obviously, he’s one of the games great rebounders, and was once regarded as the best power forward in the league, but he’s had to adjust his game to play alongside the likes of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James. He’s done so by providing a ruggedness on the boards, the ability to bang down low or space the floor with his shooting, but what always seems to go unnoticed is his passing.
Kevin Love can throw a touchdown better than arguably any athlete in the city of Cleveland. Kev’s middle name is Wesley, after the great Wes Unseld (who played with Kevin’s Dad, Stan Love for a time). It’s fitting because Love is probably the greatest outlet passer the league has seen since Wes Unseld. Whether it’s the overhead pass, the windup one-arm baseball sling, or just a quick flick of both wrists, Love can get the ball down the court with immense accuracy. That, however, isn’t the extent of his passing ability. The hit-ahead is all about accuracy, but it requires vision, and that translates to the half court as well. Whether it’s reading how the help reacts to him on the role, or waiting for the double or dig in the post, Kevin’s always surveying the defense, seeking out an advantage.
Alongside this generation’s Magic Johnson, the Cavaliers easily have one of the best passing front courts in the entire league. Their ability to spread the rock, along with the willingness to actually share the basketball, makes for some fun viewing. Enjoy!

It's good for a big man to have that kind of passing, the only problem I got with him is his athleticism because if he had better hops, his inside game would be stronger and that would make his defender struggle guarding him. Sometimes his inside passes become too predictable since he can be locked down by a bigger or more athletic defender. He needs better inside along his passing to make him a bigger threat to elite paint protectors.
