- How to program a replacement Nissan Keyless Entry Remote Key Fob Transmitter
This video will show you how to program a new key fob for select Nissan vehicles.
Remote FCC ID: KBRASTU15
Part Numbers: 28268-ZB700, 28268-C991A, 28268-C991C, 28268-5Y701, 28268-5W501
This procedure should work for the following vehicles (as long as you don't have the proximity key system)
2003 Infiniti FX35 without proximity remote
2002-2003 Infiniti QX4
2004-2008 Nissan Armada without power liftgate
2002-2012 Nissan Frontier
2005-2008 Nissan Murano without proximity remote
2003-2004 Nissan Murano
2002-2005 Nissan Pathfinder
2005-2010 Nissan Quest w/o power liftgate
2004-2005 Nissan Titan
2002-2004 Nissan Xterra
2003 - 2008 NISSAN 350Z
2002 - 2006 NISSAN ALTIMA
2005 - 2011 NISSAN ARMADA

I have a 2011 Nissan Frontier, and could not get the hazards to flash no matter how many times I inserted and removed the key. I also noted my key would often stick when removing it from the ignition. I decided to try applying a little leftward (counterclockwise) pressure when removing the key, and suddenly the hazards flashed after the sixth key removal, just like on the video. I finished out the steps in the video and now have two perfectly working keyfobs. Moral of the story, if you have a sticky key, try a little leftward pressure when removing it. Otherwise, great video. You saved me $165.
I have a 2008 Nissan Frontier. After watching this video and following the link to the website I ordered a Keyless Entry Remote. Took less time to arrive than expected.Once I had it in hand and read the instructions several time I headed out to my truck to give it a try. Following the instructions (it took me 3 tries not to get the key stuck in the ignition pulling it in and out) I just kept putting the key in and out until the flashers flashed. Could have been more than six time but less than ten. After the flashers flashed I continued with the procedure without any hiccups. This is day three and it works like a charm!! Saved me $180.00 that the dealer wanted for the key and programming. Thank you!! Rodney

This also works for 2007 Nissan Titan XE. Bought my truck used and didn't get a fob, but got two keys. Bought a Nissan Rogue (because it looks nicer) key fob for like $18. Took the chip out of my valet key by heating it for 10 min, with a hair dryer. Put the chip in the Rogue fob and used these steps. Lots of threads about topics like this on TitanTalk. Good stuff! On a 2005 G35 coupe, it took more like 11 to 13 times of entering the key before flashing lights come on. I found it on another video, on youtube because just inserting the key 6 times nothing happened. Both key fobs work great after finding out you need to insert the key more than 6 times, thank you!

sir, may I know if your remote is 3 button? I tried on my 2009 nissan frontier d40 crew cab LE. Our frontier came/maunufactured from Thailand and has only 3 buttons.
