Thanks a lot for the videos. I've got this problem from long time (but I can drive with it, it's just harder to put 1st and reverse). Firstly I thought I solved it by removing the damper and put bolt exactly like on the video. it helped for some time but problem slowly came back. Now I will definitely replace the clutch kit.
That clutch was never replaced as the customer had been told and it was quite obvious! Am surprised your report was as such vague and inconclusive! I believe it would be most apparent when taking out the gearbox also, that it had not been previously dismantled.
Thanks for your comments but I disagree… customer was very vague on when this was done and the bolts weren’t factory tight. The more I got into it, the more it looked like someone had been there before… but who? And when .. not provable.. so not worth mentioning. It’s obvious in the video that part of that clutch wasn’t old. 👍
@@Roverturbo so you cover yourself by saying nothing?I think you know the truth though, so the bottom line here is if you're having a problem with the clutch on your 130? then just get a new clutch fitted.🤨
My i30 clutch peddle is very heavy to push down , when driving for 10 minutes I struggle to get it into first and als reverse crunches , been quoted £390 for new clutch
I had a 3 piece clutch kit fitted in Oct 2020 by Rivus Fleet Group on my Hyundai i30 1.6 Diesel (2013). I had 81k miles on it at the time, and now have just over 100k. Clutch feels like it is going again, low biting on pedal and difficult to get into gear. I phoned up Rivus to complain as no way a clutch should go in 20k miles but out of warranty. Any advice on how I should proceed?
Not sure , difficult one. What brand did they use? I’ve heard they can be fussy with cheap parts, has the hydraulics been checked and is the damper still there, or has that been removed. Other than that, I’m not sure I can help any more.
Hi. Just bought 59reg i30 1.6crdi 91k on clock, previous owner said clutch and fly wheel replaced 3 weeks ago with receipt ... But when I drive, everytime change gear up and at the moment when release clutch pedal sound something noisy like from turbine or similar..? What can cause the problem? Need to gu under car to check if there is some marks on bolts that evidence that they took off gearbox or not. ? Great YT Channel 😎
Hi mate, I have an issue with i40 clutch, when clutch fully engaged in first gear (just about goes in) she creeps forward still, same with reverse. New clutch fitted recently but not sure on the details of that, Any help appreciated, thanks.
@Roverturbo previous owner had it done, service book also has clutck kit replaced at 100k miles, 130k miles on the clock now. I'll have to check the damper, how will I know? Don't want to bring it to a mechanic only to have the same issue again. Thanks for your help!
Hello @Roverturbo nice video greetings from Paris, how about brands? I'll change my clutch as well, found luk sachs aisin, then how much did cost you the flywheel? Thank you.
Hi. I've got a similar problem with my i30. Already had a clutch kit replaced (allegedly) by garage. Ever since then I've got vibrations and difficulty getting into 1st gear and reverse. Now wondering if they replaced the bearing, or left it as is... Did you change the flywheel too? Or was the original in a good state? Thanks.
A cheap clutch kit only has 2 pieces, not 3. The 3rd being the release bearing. It’s impossible to know without stripping it down and checking. Yes we replaced everything.
A complete clutch kit is implanted. (by127.000km) It didn't chance a shit... Hoped to the damper-thingy... but now i see here in the 2videos that some one layd it death...and still had the same problem (extrem late complet open clutch) So i don' t see THE FIX in your "Fixes"... please help .. i never had ANY PROBLEM with this car (i30 diesel).

new subs. here ! but need to ask ,lets say u driving i30 2015 54000miles ( manual ), gearbox oil changed at 50 000 + oil changed just a week ago, I am 3rd owner, car well kept, each service on time for last 4 years. Problems started since 48000miles. Driving 5 mins or 1 hour, doesn't matter, 8/10 when u press clutch from 1st gear to 2nd there is a hit.. impact.. before you even touch gearbox to change gear, ( RPM between 1300-1500 at gear 1 ), very same with gear 2>3 but not so often... like 3/10 Then you are on 2nd gear and car starts juddering, jerking or stuttering.. air filter is new and fuel filter changed a year ago Can feel vibrations on cluch pedal. Going to check today if I can adjust clutch pedal, though pedal is looking fine, mechanic said... but never know. Gears 4,5,6 are fine. Is it clutch Thanks for any advice!
Hi, I know lol its one of my longest comments ever :D mechanic said its clutch release bearing for 99% hight RPM on first and second gear so I can feel it more than 4,5th or 6 gear... thanks !@@Roverturbo

Common problem with after market clutches. Change the master cylinder with an ix35 adjustable rod and adjust the pedal
Just wondering if you repaired the wiring

Not sure what you mean with turbine noise, do you mean a knocking noise? Then yes, maybe a loose boot, or maybe a worn engine mount.
