- Here is an in-depth look at the mechanism for an Emperor grandfather clock. It’s a chain driven mechanism and only plays Westminster chimes. The clock currently does not run as it only ticks for 10 seconds and stops. One of the weight’s hooks broke off and so it cannot be hung on the chain. Enjoy!

I just inherited my Grandfathers clock. It's the exact one. Glad there was a video on it before I opened it up. The Emperor clock company thankfully still sells replacement parts for it. Great video, thank you for making.

You may consider trying to bend the hammers back just a bit. They're made of a soft material so they're easy to bend. The hammers shouldn't be touching the chime rods, they should be very close to touching, but not completely.
Notice the hammer for the highest note doesn't resonate, and gets muffled. It's a very easy fix. You probably won't get it the first time but just have some patience and bend the hammers back and forth until you get them to sound right.

Hello Clock TV, I've been watching the channel since late 2019 and I subscribed and hit the bell. The video of that clock is great, sad it doesn't run. I did a similar thing in my video because I joined UA-cam today. I'm a true clock enthusiastic and I love your videos. The one in my video is not an Emperor, it's a Pearl grandfather clock from the 1990's.
Any comments that are in a foreign language and you want said in English, I'll translate it and comment on what that means because I'm really good with geography.

Oh so you already did make an in-depth video Well didn’t know that but anyways like I said this clock is my favourite the time hammers are just heading in the wrong place try adjusting them a bit then you’ll actually get the two new onet

It hurts to hear clock chimes with hammers out of adjustment, it's an easy fix.
