I have been using the Google Pixel 7 Pro as my daily driver and wanted to share my experience with you. The previous generation Pixel 6 Pro had a bunch of bugs and issues as the months went on, so I wanted to see how the Pixel 7 Pro performed after a couple of updates. Spoiler: Not only is has it gotten better over time thanks to the new feature drops, but Google has fixed a couple of bugs I experienced from the beginning. However there are still a few more that persist so watch the entire video to see those.

I purchased a pixel 7 pro and been using heavily (Amazon shopping, binge watching Netflix, Sling etc) since 2 months. Absolutely no problems. The Android platform is buttery smooth. Excellent smart phone.
Charging takes forever tho, ever used a Xiaomi? 15 mins full charge baby!
interesting, MKBHD just released the video about best camera phone of 2022, and 6a being the top one,
Don't worry, it will get better with updates
MKBHD is forgiven now? Not even two months ago he was being crucified for saying the 6a display animations aren't as good as iPhone😂lol
@@jevonsims900 It's just how humans work. Opinions may differ time to time. Also there's difference between early impressions and later or late impressions
@@jevonsims900 he talking about camera

Charging a Pixel phone is an L
I'm used to Xiaomi phones with 120W 15 mins full charge from 30%-100%
With my Pixel 7 Pro It took over an hour, I'm a huge android fanboy so once I notice my phone is charging slow like an iPhone I just can't take that much suffering. I want to go take a shower and come out to a fully charged phone, I've been spoilt by Xiaomi 😭
I actually had 3 devices. When I purchased it the phone kept re-booting. Tmobile exchanged it for me twice. The 3rd time was a charm. I love the device
Mine too freezes an reboots. I think it may be caused by messenger.
My biggest problem is inconsistent volume using Google Assistant. When I ask it questions, it reads back loud. But when I tell it to set an alarm, it talks back very softly. I can't fix it and neither did Google last night .
I love the phone but since the December update my phone gets really hot when reading articles on Google and the screen brightness will vary up and down even though the phone is on manual at full brightness? When it gets hot it starts to run down the battery more quickly. I really hope this gets fixed because the phone was perfect before this update.
what skin are you using for ur phone is it a mate black from dbrand ?
My pixel 7 pro gets really hot from watching videos and and while multi tasking, then the screen would freeze and not respond. Im considering changing it for the s22 Ultra.😩
I swear it’s so odd to look at these reviews and see the comments. Some people load the phone some people say it’s a piece of crap. It’s strange or somebody’s reviews can differ that much.
I just subscribed to be honest. One of my main concerns about tech reviewers that they talk about making a phone review long-term review, but don't spend that much of time with the phone sometimes. To the point that I think that some reviewers have a long-term review video when the phone have not been out for more than a month or two. The reason that you making this type of video and being real on those points that not all of them get to xperience the nuances and the updates afterwards. How Google push them make me really interested on what you have to say about it. Thank you so much!
As someone who is looking to replace their Asus Zenfone 6...all phones essentially look the same now (asus stopped with the flip cameras). So I really appreciate this long term review.
My wife and I still absolutely love our pixel 7 pro's, we've had ours since the devices release
Absolutely love my pixel 7 pro 🔥. I haven't had any of these issues. Cheers.
Same here it's differ from person to person
I really like the phone so far. The one thing I am starting to really not like after a few days of using it is that the selfie camera quality in low light is very bad.
I have the Google Pixel 7 Pro since last year and all of the bugs you mention in your long term review dont happen to my Pixel 7 Pro i think the Pixel 7 Pro is one of the best flagship on the market and gives other flagship which are much more expensive a run for the money . The only thing that is missing is the fact that costumer service is not that great the communication between costumers and Google support is bad specially that March security update i rich out to them but the did not response at all here they have to do something .
Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad to hear you aren't experiencing those issues
@@azvisuals Thanks for the positive reply
This is the second phone that doesn't give me battery anxiety. The first being the Pixel 5. I can go all day without having to charge it and still have 30% remaining around 930pm
this is unrelated but I just wanted to tell you about Jesus. Not every day is promised. And one day, we're all gonna have to stand before God. Every human has sinned, and sin is what separates people from God. But God made a way for us to be saved ... and that's through Jesus Christ. He came to earth, died on the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day, paying the debt of sin for us. To receive this gift, God calls us to repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ. We must trust Him and not any of our works, because our good works won't outweigh the bad ones on judgment day. Everyone needs Jesus, for only in Him is there eternal life.
Romans 6:23 - " For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. "
Luke 15:10 - " In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” "

I have the pixel 7 pro since 4 days and the overnight standby battery consumption has been terrible. Over the night the battery went from 100 to 75 percent. Can someone help me and tell me what I can do ?
I already tried many battery saving tips and the night after the battery only went from 100 to 97 percent. But then the battery got terrible again in the following days.
Update: now I have the iPhone 14 Plus and the battery overnight stays at 100%
I’ve had mine since release and had this initially but after a while it improves 👍
Any fixes for the heating issue?
My huawei mate 20 using it heavily give me 5.30 hours of active screen
I use office 365 on my galaxy s21. Do you foresee any issues with 365 on pixel 7 Pro? Thank you for the video 👍
Cinematic shots and reviews is really great❤
Get the pixel 8 pro NOWWWWW PUH LEASSSSSSEEEEEE 😭😭😭 I need the camera review, I ain't got the money yet
Thumbnail=🔥🔥🔥👍
I do have connectivity issues, especially in enclosed areas and 4g drains too much battery. With the bugs, the most annoying ones to me are: not being able to change screens and you are forced to remain in the same one and one in which the notification bar does not go down.
It is a great mobile, but needs a bit to be a top smartphone (a much better battery life, quick charge, powerful CPU, better speakers). Overall it is a great smartphone, especially with the cameras. I can't imagine what Google could do with a better front camera, ultra wide angle and a periscopic one (with what they achieved with the telescope one)
I think the CPU and GPU are just fine on the phone. I do play games, just not a heavy gamer. But i can say for the cameras the ultra wide is pretty decent, I don't really have any issues since it doe macro, and has a bit wider aperture and bigger sensor than my last phone ( IP12) also the periscope zoom is best in class. From 5x-10x and even 15x is super clear and pretty dang sharp. Most people can't even tell the sharpness apart on social Instagram when I put this phone up against my 80-200 f2.8. that's in terms of sharpness but depth of field is a different story... Easy to tell phone and DSLR apart. But I feel like the selfie camera is ok at best, but I don't use it enough for it to be a problem. I don't have connection issues ( any more than I did with my iphone 12, and that was pretty good) so I mean you can nit pick but to consider this phone is 100x better than what apple offers for the same price currently ( iPhone 14 plus) you are getting a way better deal. 120hz 1440p display, a periscope zoom, and just better cameras in general (hardware wise) and I prefer android software. Don't give a crap about green and blue bubbles.
Heyy bro hope you good I am considering buying pixel 7 pro is it good like bug free and what about the battery life ?
I've actually run into the stick swiping issue with a OnePlus 9 Pro, especially when it comes to the notification shelf. I just assumed this was an OxygenOS issue, but seeing this video I wonder if it's more of an android issue.
It's not OxygenOS anymore is it?
OnePlus uses ColorOS from Oppo
I have a s22 ultra and have problems with 5g its not just google
That pixel skin is lit!
I want to know how great is the finger print scanner? How often does it fail? Since that is the key point for me in pixel. Please rely (anyone). Thank you!
The FP sensor on the 7pro is much improved over the 6pro
I had a problem with Airplane mode on my pixel 7 pro. When it was on Airplane mode, the others could still call me. Another issue was with Google Assistant, that did not work properly like on my other android phones. There were other bugs on the device. I returned the phone.
Android will always be junk
Question: what is the phone case u used for the Pixel 7?
Looks like you got a defective product
Battery life on pixel 7 pro sucks
For me sometimes when i open an app all the phone crash with horizontal line of colors green pink... and I had to restart the device. First time I tough the screen was damaged. It doesn't happen everytime but rarely.
Where did you get the SMARTPHONE SKIN from? i love it
I have the same question
Very nice review, I bough the 7 pro too, I like it this far. Ive been looking for some cases, the one u been using in this vid looks really nice, where did u get it?
frs, cant wait to play geometry dash and minecraft on here, me and the boys are gonna see how many tries we need on geometry
I like that skin, where'd you get it?

Where did you get phone skin from??
he got it from dbrand, the skin is called matte black

I wonder the same thing
I’m pretty sure it’s just the Matte Black skin from dbrand

Hot! On many levels...
What skin did you put in the phone? Thanks
Colored mode dial on the sony - fire 🔥
What skin do you use? I’ve ordered a P7P and I’m thinking about using a skin for the camera visor and a case

Is that a Dbrand skin? If so which version?
Perfect 👌 skin

Hbu 60fps?

Watching on my pixel 6
I've yet to have those bugs with the camera happen with me. I was able to take pictures and videos quickly with the double tap of the power button.
I will say that my battery life isn't the best but I do turn off the 5G, 120hz refresh rate and the 1440p; and it does improve the battery life quite a bit. Albeit it isn't a great selling point telling people to turn off features to improve battery life. I am a big Pokémon Go player though and I don't need anything else to drain the battery.
This is why I stick to Samsung
What skin?
If anyone is on Google Fi and the 5G signals in your area are not that great, you can now turn off 5G in the Settings app.
How to turn off 5G on Pixel phones:
- Settings
- Network & Internet
- Internet
- Click the gear icon to the right of "Google Fi"
- Scroll down and tap on "Preferred network type"
- Choose "LTE".
Recommend you restart your phone. You are now on LTE only with no 5G. This is a much easier process than the old dialing *#...#* method.
If you want to re-enable 5G, follow the exact same steps, but choose "5G" as the last step.
Hope this is helpful.
Why would anyone buy a $900.00+ Pixel 7 Pro 5G phone to turn off the 5G?
Can't Google fix their 5G modems via software update in G2?
@@jevonsims900 There is nothing wrong with the 5G modem in the Pixel 7 Pro. I have an excellent connection which is actually better than my iPhone at times. I was merely speaking to Google Pixel users who use Google Fi Turning off 5G has nothing to do with Google or Apple. 5G is relatively new tech and some parts of the world (even in the USA) doesn't have many 5G towers, if any at all. Having 5G turned on no matter what device you are using will burn more battery. Turning off 5G will save your battery even on an iPhone. Google just recently made it easier to turn 5G off for Google Fi users and I was informing them of the new way to do it. So why did you feel the need to comment so negatively? Do you have a problem with me helping people?
This is a LAUGHABLY BAD phone. The first thing you'll notice is that you can't use 1/4 of your home screen because it's reserved for displaying the time using 10% of the top 1/4th of your screen, forcing the rest to be empty space. Then, when you lock it and try unlocking it, you'll notice that sometimes you can't use any gestures - good luck switching to any other app. The next thing you'll notice is that only maybe 10% of your contacts actually restored from your previous phone, even though Google One says they're all restored. Thankfully I don't work today because the clock's alarm doesn't use the alarm sound you picked and snoozes instead of dismissing. If you're like me and use a pre-alarm 5 minutes earlier to wake up, your actual alarm will never go off. Instead, your phone will make annoying dings every 5 minutes until you go into the settings and delete your alarms. Oh, and good luck trying to focus at the gym because the option to not have your notifications read through your headphones (which is apparently in Google Assistant) isn't where all the forums say it should be. I thought Google was a competent company? I guess not.
