Plug-in Hybrids are the future and you get thousands back from the government. I must have missed the Ford Escape PHEV with the panoramic roof. The Maverick is affordable but unavailable. Anyway the used Escape Hybrids are now much cheaper. The Buick Envision Avenier is a luxury car, automatic leveling gives it a smooth ride but 23 mpg. Wait for the PHEV's and you will hardly ever have to put gas in them, just plug it in over night.
