So I have the PI8 and after watching UA-cam people been saying the AZ80 sound better. So I got some to see for myself. In my experience, The B&W PI8 sounds twice as good as the AZ80S. The sound of the PI8 is truly unmatched. Listening to music on the PI8 is special. It's fills a hole in my heart that I didn't know I had. Super wide sound stage every voice and instrument is distinguishable. The PI8 are in a league of their own. The best listening experience in a pair of earbuds. In my opinion. With that being said. Im going to return my PI8 because inconsistent experience with the app and the buds. after using the AZ80 even though they don't sound as good. Everything else about the buds work really well. but I tell you, it breaks my heart to let go of the sound that the PI8 provide.
@@ronontechYeah I purchased a pair because of you. I like how they feel. They actually feel really good and comfortable. I was surprised you only get one set for 10 bucks. But they did help and gave it a better fit, filled more comfortable and less itching after a while
Great video! I consider myself a music and sound aficionado. I was disappointed by these buds and just returned them. I honestly felt the sound stage, quality and overall EQ ability of the new Bose QC's were far superior. I tested them side by side for over an hour and I was blown away by Bose and they are $180 less. I really wanted to like the B&Ws but I was not and am very surprised. I expect to be blown away by the B&Ws.
I just received the Bowers and Wilkins Pi8s today. They are very nice. I purchased them used from B&H Photo for $258. These things are practically brand new. Lol!!! No sign of wear and tear, all original boxing, and even still has that brand new smell.
thanks for the vid Ron. appreciated , another awesome comparison I owned previously ,PI7s2 it was sounding amazing but yes only good sounding everything else was full of trash .. I now owned Bose ULTRA QC. it's not perfect sounding perhaps but good enough well tuned details. soundstage so narrow agreed. but the bud is so convenient all day long . on the go, as its so comfortable and ANC, Transparent modes working much better than any other premium brands
I own both of these and I agree with this dude 100%. The noise cancellation on the Pi8 is okay, but not great. For example, if I'm vacuuming, I need to use the Bose because the ANC on the Pi8 isn't good enough to cancel the noise sufficiently. While the sound quality on the Pi8 is better, if you only want one pair of earbuds and you need ANC, the Bose is definitely the better pick, especially considering it's at least $100 cheaper.
I have the Pi8, and I have yet to try the Ultras, as far as NC yes Bose is better. But in my opinion if all you care about sound quality especially when using a HI BIT streaming app like QOBUZ they sound amazing. Like I said I have yet to use the Ultras so I cant compare but owning the Quiet comforts, Pi7 S2, B&o Beoplay EX, Buds 3 pro, the Pi8 in sound quality are superior. Wish they just fixed the interference issue I have with them in congested areas like the gym on a busy day. I have to switch to codec AAC to get minimal interference, but none the less they sound amazing.
@RonOnTech .. what foldable phone are you using in this video Sir .. I'm planning on getting Pi8 Earbuds, just waiting for Black Friday Deals to kick in in November 👍🏾
Common confusion so no worries. But just so people that are interested in buying the bose. Immersion is not related to ANC and is ONLY related to its headtracking spatial audio features built into thier ultra series. Quiet is the max setting for ANC. That being said immersion shouldn't lessen the ANC either, it just isn't better than quiet.
@Emre-nl8df Sorry for the late response. I would have to say the QuietComfort II are the loudest in this list. Followed closely by the XM5 and the AirPod Pro 2s.
Love you man. Always know i can count on you to have my exact review done 🤣🤣

Have you tried using a third party eartip, like from SpinFit?

I agree! Both are great buds. One thing about the Bose, like them or not nothing else sounds like them and the N/C is unmatched.
Awesome video presentation Sir,love the in depth keeping in real information…..Paul , Scotland 🏴
Much appreciated. Thanks for the support.
Listening on my Bose quiet comfort 2 buds 😊

I own The QC Ultra and Their sound is so cluttered and metallic !
Bose really tuned them to sound very Unnatural !!

Does the pi8 have any wingtip changeable , how does the pi8 performs on running and working out? Thanks

I'm currently using the Galaxy Z Fold6.

Awesome video
I would love to see a Technics Az80 vs the Pi8s.
You should try the Noble Fokus Prestige. 😊. Even though it doesn't have ANC. You may be very very surprised
Sorry for the late response.
I have my eye on them and the Triumphs.
Compare the B&W Pi8s to the B&Os Beoplay EX.
Sorry for the late response.
I'll try to make that happen.
Bose just don't want to let off that 300 tag.
My x5's have diminished noise cancelling abilities.
Which is the whole reason I got them.
Sorry for the late response.
I haven't had any issues with the noise cancelling with my XM5s.
Have you tried resetting them back to factory?
Love my boseqc but the connectivity issues really let the Bose down it’s just so frustrating and not what you expect from a company like Bose
Bose quiet comfort ultras all day!
Thanks for sharing.
Have you tried both?
I've had both the Bose do not even remotely compare in sound. PI8 are unbelievable all the other features mean nothing..
Hello i have a question. Which earbuds is louder of these?
- Sennheiser momentum tws 4
- Sony WF-1000XM5
- AirPods Pro 2
- Bose QuietComfort II
If you are maxing any of these you are damaging your hearing, and I listen loud.
I would put my money on the xm5. If you want loud go for earbuds that support high res audio.
@Emre-nl8df Sorry for the late response.

Why people keep sleeping one jbl live buds 3 pro? No body talk about jbl earbuds. Are they that bad
i reviewed and compared the Live Buds 3. Check out my channel. IMO, they could be better.
I think it's a question of aviability
@@emiliodijan2194 really!!
Here you are tripping pi8 blow the bose out the water
I appreciate your opinion. They have great mids and highs. But the bass doesn't match the Bose. And that matters just as much as the other two to me.
@@ronontechthat’s a big point in helping me pick between the two
