Yep it’s gotten nuts. I’m in southern Ontario and those bad habits have completely changed the narrative about truck drivers. Used to be people would be respectful and understand truck drivers knew what they were doing based on experience.
Nowadays it’s gone almost entirely to ‘watch out for that truck, guy thinks he owns the road!’
Sad part is, as a truck driver over 20 years in, I can’t find the means to argue the point

I don't think I have ever seen a tractor and wagon or truck or train in India that was not extremely overloaded! Apparently India has not caught on to the concept of load limits!

I remember years ago I had such a heavy load on the company truck I was driving when I went to turn I kept going straight as there was not enough wait on the front tires to turn. I had to really drive slowly when turning.

1. The truck on the hill segment used 2 different trucks. 1 truck had 2 two front (steering) wheels - the other had 4. The truck was also poorly designed. you shouldn't be able to load a truck so that the front wheels can lift off the road.

Overloading a Truck knowing your Route is Mountainous is the Dumbest thing Ever, Youre Straining almost Everything on that Truck, The Engine, Gearbox ,Driveshafts , Brakes and Tires ... etc Not forgetting Risking Flipping that Truck down the Mountain, Loosing the Truck and all the Goods ,in some cases the Truck Driver Life. So why do they keep on doing it when there is absolutely No Benefit. Its Because of Stupid Bosses and Managers who make those Demands to Overload the Trucks and are Absent to Witness what Truck Drivers go thru .

You cannot be mistaken it has to be India..... I never been treated so wonderfully or so badly as in that amazing nation. Where the asphalt got wet from heat on the street and i had to walk across. I ended up where's my shoes clogged with cooling asphalt from the street... One of the "boys" at my hotel cleaned my shoes completely so there was a nice thing.
