@@ManLikeEddy without a doubt, Sharp Handling makes the game so much more enjoyable, albeit you might need to further tweak it to remain balanced since I believe it messes with grip values too
The individual engine sound files don't sound the same as irl for multiple reasons. Car construction, audio compression and dynamic range, microphone quality, atmospheric conditions and listener's ears, all are a factor in determining if a real life recording sounds the same as an actual car. When it comes to Pro Street, the engine sound provides part of the overall audio, but is mostly to regulate the exhaust sound pitch and some other characteristics. mit_evo8_a_eng has decent pitch and volume, so it works on multiple 4 cylinder cars.
oh they're all in the game files, the way to access them is through a program (Attribulator by heyisleo, or VltEd by nfsu360, both do the same thing). you need to access 2 categories - engineaudio_ng (all the sounds with their respective volumes, paths to the game files, rpm limits, etc.), essentially the names you see on the beggining of each clip - caraudio (place where you asign two sounds [EngineAudioNG and ExhaustAudioNG] to stock and tuned spec of each car in game) EngineAudioNG - mostly you can hear it in front and hood view but its also noticable from the rear view if you know what to look for. It also mostly dictates the pitch, unless the exhaust recording literally can't reach it ExhaustAudioNG - most of the typical rear view
I don't have any meta tunes and my copy of the game is so extensively modded that "meta" tunes do not apply anyway. Look up other videos on great grip tunes.
@@ATomatoIsAFruit I would like to know what mods you used, for example the handling of the cars is faster and smoother than in the base version, what mod is that?
NFS Carbon, Pro Street, Undercover and World use a file and data format where each car has two distinct entries for engine and exhaust sound, respectively. Engine sounds dictate tone and pitch, and is easiest heard when looking back, while the exhaust is the bulk of the actual sound.

He uses a mod that unlocks the 10000 RPM. Vanilla game is capped at 8000 RPM, I think that changes the performance and speed of the most cars in the game.
Game from 2007 and still better than the trash made now
That. Upgraded. Ford GT Sound!
so good
The turbo is uhsh uhsh uuuhsh
Looks like m3 gtr supercompressor sound 😭
That GT was performing opera with the engine and turbo combo.
@Defalt1_ the M3 GTR doesnt have a supercompressor. Its the gearbox's straight cut gears that make the whine sound. Most other race cars have those
We need a part 2 of these awesome engine combos. Pronto!!
this man made the best ever transition on the part of the ford escort
dont know what is better
those modded sounds or watch you driving smooth like a feather
Most glorious sounds of any game
I used to be super hyped for Pro Street, it was the reason I upgraded my PC.
I think i will play again this magnificent game fully modded as hell
27:13 A engine and exhaust combination I never knew I needed
Some very nice combos in there, well done.
ngl i was expecting to hear the legendary stock Mclaren engine 💀
I couldn't find a suitable upgraded sound for the F1 but take my word for it: it's there 😉
ignore all the typos in the video pls
8:39 the Trantition between DB9 and DBR9 😮
Dang, bro you make this mod look cool, i want try it bro
damnn hood looks so realistic than new nfs!
Nfs ps has awesome car sounds like carbon and mw
all blackbox nfs games use same sound records, but few ones were rerecorded since pro street.
the shifting sound on the db9 is quite satisfying
😳well, the 350z engine for the GTR sounds accurate af. Damn, im gonna be looking at a 350z differently now🤣
Cobalt SS mentioned!!!😳
These sound like NFS Most Wanted stock sounds
6:03 Yo, The Chevy Cobalt SS!!!💀
The buggy idle of upgraded evo 9 sounds badass lol
This is absolutely glorious.
Like I see some sounds mods we can't found it and i never see it omg its so amazing im really curious to know where u found these sounds mods :)

Alright, no hate here, but no way i just saw 300 there at infineon in that Aston Martin GT Car. That's nuts!
The base game car DBR9 was arguably even more insane
That's nuts
How about making Focus ST sound like a inline 5 car finally? Even if you have to resort to Viper V10 sound. Anything but lousy 4 banger sound it has 😅
Already done, I just wasn't fully satisfied with the sound
wait mr2 engine?? the mr2 was going to be added???? which one????

The handling and câmeras looking good, what did you use
Extended Cameras from nfsmods.xyz, further tweaked by me; handling is mostly all by me, except the faster steering which is Sharp Handling

the engines share same file names, like the Pontiac Solstice uses Mitsubishi Evo sound. So do they sound the same ingame, and irl?
