I saw the Japanese trailer and I remember how much I enjoyed watching V5 Legacy, I had to rewatch the robot battles. I hope the Japanese audience will like it like we do.
I am rewatching this fight and I remembered seeing Godor is significantly taller and bulkier than Voltes V. The difference is staggering. It is like Godor is a heavyweight and Voltes V is a light heavyweight.
A subtle Pacific Rim logic also was introduced when it comes to piloting Godor. The thing is Zardoz could not continuously pilot Godor alone because it puts a lot of strain in his mind. Strong minded as he is he can only take a certain level of strain and that is why he lost. Had he kept it together a little more he could have fired a couple more of the railgun to finish off Voltes V.

@@AlbertLlenado-rk1sn Kasi Godor is an AI Spirit-like infused warrior na when may gustong mag control sa kanya, he has to maintain control of his mind as his energy in his mind is starting to suck into the robot, If either si Hrothgar or si Zambojil ang gumamit ni Godor, malamang wala nang plot armor si Voltes V, unlike ni Daimos na para lang syang VR na si Richard ay hindi mag struggle when he uses Daimos and it doesn't require energy in his mind and only needing his Karate skills.

Pwede din tech issue. Godor is an ancient robot with less safety protocols last resort weapon, while Daimos, if it is considered an indirect sequel here, may have copied same technology and improve it plus Daimos is actually smaller and may require less power to operate.

That's why we need an actual anime fan to be our script writer not a Soap Opera Cringe writer......Even a Weeb is better Script writer than Suzette. But the CGI is better than a past tv series.

if they decide to make another mecha tv series, I hope they'll reference how the Pacific Rim mecha moves, also the perspective on that first rim movie was peak, rim2 is trash tho
Hope toei will allow it tho. I read somewhere kasi na Gma & the animators want it to have same color grading with pacific rim but Toei want it to be more cartoonish, brighter.

Agree, need nilang iimprove yong dialogue at acting nila. Pagdating naman sa CGI ay hindi consistent ang quality. The only good or acceptable na quality ng CGI nila ay yong Volt-in scene lang.
Para sa first time, it's acceptable. Let's hope that when they do Daimos Legacy, they improve the CGI further. As far as I know, combined efforts siya ng GMA Post Production at Riot, e. Sana sa sunod, 100% si Riot mag-handle ng CGI at post. Hehe.@@rjee007
@@rjee007 I beg to disagree sa CGI part. Of course, this is not Hollywood level like Marvel movies and Pacific Rim but mostly consistent yung CGI nila especially if you are watching it in 1080p Quality. Lalo na yung part na kalaban nila si Zoldier, parang totoong armored monster eh.
Sa actingan lang talaga at dialogue sila sablay.
CGI artist din ako pero hindi naman ako naghahangad na mapantayan nila ang Pacific Rim effects pero may nakita lang akong inconsistency sa quality ng CGI nila kagaya na lang noong skyline ng Boazanian imperial capital na scene nila na mejo hindi masyadong realistic.

No hate. But Filipino films should not be using taglish. It just feels corny, zardos speaking tagalog and the voltess team speaking English is just so awkward.
But great stuff anyways, one of Filipinos coolest works.
