I love using Pond’s cold cream to remove my makeup. It gets my face much cleaner then any makeup wipe or liquid cleanser. It never gives me any pimples or clogged pores and works wonders for hydrating combination skin.
I love Ponds cold cream! It has definitely made a difference in my skin and a little goes a long way with this stuff! But just know it may not work for everyone cause everyone’s skin is different.
The Ponds cleanser is actually SO GOOD, but they weren’t doing it right. You have to take your dry hands and rub the cream all over your face with your hands, and then use a warm wet washcloth to wipe off all the excess. All my friends and I use it and nothing works better. I was at first hesitant to start using it because a makeup wipe is easier, but this makes my skin SO smooth right after and takes off absolutely everything!
I'm rather confounded by their feelings of "it's too much" when people on this very channel endorse the Korean skin care routine and that's many more steps and infinitely more expensive. And it's all the same reason! Women do this to be attractive, end of story, period paragraph. I do this stuff, it feels good and it's about self care on one level but it also speaks to the desire to be perceived as youthful and attractive. People don't change, been this way since day one.
Ikr, like one of them was like “I don’t like the reasons why they were doing this for” obviously people want to look beautiful. And another one was like “I’m glad women are allowed to have feelings”... does she not know that it was used to prevent wrinkles. They honestly have so many sjws and angry feminists.
Taking care of your skin is a part of caring about you. Important as eating healthily and exercise. How can one take care of others without caring for themselves first?
but even today not everyone does complicated routines. Sure, there's a community who does but most people don't fall into that community. I'm pretty sure people formulated or modified current complicated routines based off of the complicated routines from the past. And even then there's people who didn't follow long routines from the 50s either.
That’s just you generalizing lmao. Majority of women use one to two skincare products. And many do very simple looks of makeup. Now maybe if you were a makeup artist it’d be a rigorous routine lol.
@@akirekory1277 Lol I didn't generalize. I specifically said many women, not all, have skincare and makeup routines with multiple products. And it's true, many do, same way that yes many people also have simpler routines.

U have a hair on ur screen dude Eh. Some people have acne because their face is dry and overcompensating, and it works for them. Personally, I found it made my acne much worse. If you get it and it does break you out, it’s not very expensive and can be used for other things.

Apply a good moisturizer afterwards, then go to bed, or apply makeup as usual.
Jess-is-a-mess - Me too and I also use Pons. I mix the one for dry skin and oily skin bc I have combo skin. My sister recommended it to me and her skin is amazing. I don't think I have ever seen a zit on her.

my grandma used ponds forEVER! I have combo skin and it has NEVER broken me out! I also use the other Ponds products and love them! Now my young adult daughters are staring to use Ponds! BEST ever!
My grandma used the ponds cold cream and a bar of soap/towel her whole life and she has amazing skin. My sister also does the same routine and her skin is just as great.
I too bought Pond’s (I used it today even) bc it’s so highly rated. It WORKS. I get dry patchy red skin if I don’t moisturize (sensitive dry skin & I live in hot dry weather year round) & this is the only thing that doesn’t make me oily!! Yass!! Try it it’s cheap (I get the one for dry skin)

ok but the Pond’s makeup remover is the BEST! idk why more people don’t use it. it’s absolutely amazing. micellar water always leaves me feeling greasy or like i have some film on my face but the Pond’s cream is just refreshing and it works so well, it removes my 2-day waterproof brows in 1 swipe. you can swipe off your makeup so softly rather than scrubbing like you have to with most makeup wipes i’ve tried.

Calling this 1950s beauty tips is a little bit of a stretch. I’m 27 and have always used cold cream, a neutrogena bar (I know that isn’t listed) and a face washer on my skin. I’m certain I’m not the only one as cold cream is nearly always sold out at my local pharmacy. It’s funny the people in the video are kind of mocking these products because it’s old fashioned and “a lot of work”, yet in the next sentence talk about how they can’t believe people in the earlier decades used so few products. Shows how much social media affects society these days, these same people probably get their skincare tips off UA-cam “beauty guru’s” that get money for endorsing products they probably don’t even use.
ponds is legit the best. I used to smear a little of the pink ponds under my under eye when i had under eye baggage due to lack of sleep before bedtime and wipe it off in the morning and bam, looked like i had a full night of sleep when i only slept 5 hours.
I use that cold cream to get off my eye makeup, but it makes the rest of my skin feel oily and like it has a film on it... So I use it for just my eye makeup, and then use a different face wash after to get the oily feel off and to cleanse the rest of my face!
