Rob, I gotta say that Blood for Blood and Ramallah help me out everyday. It is everything I have ever felt in my life in music form. I love "punk" or whatever genre you wanna give it. But when I found Blood for Blood it was like, I reached the pinnacle, no one ever put into lyrics, what I felt everyday. Maybe Black Flag did, but you brought it with more rawness and truth. I agree with everything you said about empathy in society. Society is fucked, it is a "me me me" world and fuck anyone else who doesn't have money or anyone who has problems or addiction. After last weeks video and the advice you gave me, I have dropped down to a six pack a night and no more whiskey or wine. Going to ween down to a 32 oz of Miller a night, and eventually give the shit up! It hasn't been easy dropping down to a sixer a night as oppose to a 12 pack a night and how ever much wine and whiskey I could put into myself, usually a bottle of wine and a half bottle of whiskey. Next week, I'm going to finally tell my psych, "I'm an alcoholic, I need to stop, before my liver pops." We all have reasons we are addicts, some big, some small, but I believe addiction can be born out of anything, and there is something out there to stop the pain. Im sorry for rambling, thank you for ANOTHER great video, I love these things, its gives me something to look forward to in my dark, isolated, alienated, self-loathing world. GOD BLESS YOU ROB!!!!
WTR Thank you for being so honest I find it refreshing that someone sees the HC community for what it is, we are the outsiders but we are the ones who know real pure love.
This is such an Epic nodcasr part 1 and 2. Ive been following these Nodcast for the last year. I was seaching through the old ones since no new nodcast today, I understand since you have a new album coming and this is hardcore fest coming up which I will be there. But out of luck I picked The cries from the Abyss. You truly played a big part of my recovery but today you help me get another day clean and free from my own demons.Thanks Rob

Why so many thumbs down? Did the heifer with the cloven hoof/ankle have all her friends stop by? Love the videos Rob, I look forward to them every week. As a former hardcore addict, I understand exactly where you are coming from. I also wanted to note that, while most of my friends ONLY saw "anger" in your music, I, personally, always knew that there was a degree of empathy there and I think that that is why I became a much bigger fan of your work (w/all your projects) vs. MOST of my friends. (A close friend in particular, whom I shared a home with.....he would always bitch about how you would rant about "society" way too much. Of course, he was just another cog in the wheel himself and at the first hint of friction from someone that disliked me, HE decided that he no longer liked me as well - despite being my friend for a LONG damn time and knowing each other since we were barely teenagers). At any rate, please keep on with the videos, I look forward to them every Thursday!
