My remotes broken, so i held the manual power button, no go. But all good got over 5yrs out of it for under $300au. So i'll just get another cheapie. Always have, always happy.
Thanks for posting this, I tried it and it didn't help. My problem is a little different, my TV is Polaroid DE416T1N4AU-PA4 from 2014-2015, and the LED backlight works. Pressing power on remote or TV causes the little red power LED on bottom right of TV to blink, but then it comes on again red. Then you have to wait a couple seconds before you can press power again. What I have to do to turn the TV on is keep pressing the power button on the TV or remote, watching for the LED to turn green (instead of red). This can take a couple minutes of pressing power and waiting. Eventually the LED turns green and the Polaroid logo comes up and the TV "boots". I have no idea what the problem is that it takes so long to turn on the TV (maybe the firmware is messed up or something?) but if I keep trying it always ends up starting (this had been going on for a few months now, and I just leave the TV on with a slideshow or screensaver when I'm not using it).
Did you manage to fix it? I have the same problem.
No. We found that pressing the power button over and over rapidly starts it in 10-20 seconds which is an improvement, but eventually we'll just replace it. Prices have come down on this size 4k TV.

The red light keeps flashing on this Polaroid and it just won't turn on
I have sound but no light on TV, I have changed hdmi and done all these steps and nothing worked. There was no imagery when I flashed it with flashlight. I don’t know what else to do lol

Anyone who has a dark screen hold the home button go to picture settings turn OFF! Auto back light setting should sort it 👍
but i cant do that becuase my screen i dark ?
@@charlietimmins7672 yeah you need to hold the button down and the settings will eventually pop up it’s the backlighting for some reason it has a dark mode 🤷♂️
