Honestly so happy to see our game up on a stage like this, and frif just showing he's absolutely unparalleled in CH. Incredible performance imo, can't be easy getting up there and playing that well in front of so many people in the audience and watching live. Really hope to see something like this again, remember feeling like the last time in 2020 was something special as well

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but as a casual fan I preferred the previous showcase. This one was bleep bloop songs for 30 minutes and then TTFAF. As usual from you, the skill shown is incredible, but the previous setlist had more iconic custom songs and more importantly more variety, with the sped up showcase and the mod track. Commentary was much better this time around tho.
that's definitely a fair criticism, I wanted this showcase to do a better job showing my strengths as a player and what aspects of the competitive 5-fret I shine at.

The TTFAF chart looks like the GH3 one but it was saying it was the Smash Hits one? I'm really confused, the whole chart was the GH3 one but have the difficulty levels and the lyrics from Smash Hits.
fucked up song.ini because it was originally going to be an overchart until the speedup incentive that never got met. smash hits chart also had lyrics for the crowd, which iggy specifically asked for

Is Vaseline bad for your fret hardware? Like I've never lubed up my frets cause I'm worried about the stuff getting under the buttons and fucking up the PCB.

While this is incredibly impressive regardless, the "you can just slide tap to hit any random pattern without actually hitting the pattern" kind of defeats the purpose a bit?
There’s a couple caveats to this that might not have been made very clear, but it’s not quite that simple.
1. This does not apply in the slightest to strum notes. For those, you do have to be flawless on your fretting and strum timing in order to combo. A single incorrect note when you strum is instant GG. Look back at the Expurgation playthrough in this with that in mind.
2. Some patterns are literally designed to be slide tapped through, whether normally or mass sliding. A good example of this is Glacial Storm 5’s Storm Solo (shown at ua-cam.com/video/j_nQ0ZOdBkI/v-deo.html ), where sliding is explicitly required and charted with that as the intended method. Then there’s No Fucks Were Given (ua-cam.com/video/YwF_Elt5zJw/v-deo.html ), where it’s just a load of BS and there’s essentially no way to hit it without slide spamming.
3. Just because you can doesn’t mean you can get away with it, because it’s surprisingly easy to tell when someone is spamming versus playing the song cleanly, once you understand more of the mechanics in detail.
