I am from that era of watching sejal's old videos! Infact it was Sejal who made me watch UA-cam. Those days I would open UA-cam see her video and close and don't open YT for days together. later I started watching her and others regularly
Not telling about a products which made u skin worse is not honest. U can tell ur viewer's about the product without bashing the brand. But not being honest about that just means that u want to work wd the brand bcoz it's big n can be financially fruit ful in the future. Not every product available in the market is good.

@@Manasimau darling m not criticizing u in anyway but Just want u to understand from a consumers point of view. I personally don't think that sponsorship is crime . Everybody has a right to make a living as long as they r open n honest about it. U hv a lot of teenager followers n they hv limited amount of money. So it would be good to let them know if something doesn't work or can create more skin problem. So that they can save money n protect their skin. Moreover the brand's can also take a hint that they need to improve n make better product for consumers.
I tend to disagree with your comments on criticizing a brand whose products are not effective at all. You can see thousand of fake reviews on Amazon, nykka etc on these products prompting other people to buy it. But this is not fair. Everyone earns the money by doing hard work including youtubers. So I believe it is a responsibility of a influencer to give its honest reviews about the products whether they are good and bad if they consider their community as a family which all of them claim to be. Would you let your sister or family member buy a product that did not work on you or your other friends? The answer would be generally no because you care about them and want them to invest their money on these products wisely. So same is the case here. And the constructive criticism should always be taken in a positive manner. If done honestly, it can make a brand to rework on their formulation for good results which will eventually help the people and people automatically buy it if the product is working. Because of my own experience with the products, I am saying this and I appreciate people giving honest reviews because they are speaking truth knowing it can effect their brand deals. But isn't honesty required in this, if not then people wouldn't trust Indian makeup brands at all because of their experience with such products. So I think it is fine to criticize something that does not work and let the people know.
I repeated this I think 3 times that HONEST reviews if you don't like something is ALWAYS GONNA BE IMPORTANT BECAUSE I DO IT TOO.
What I said I am against is, making "separate" video to bash the brand. There's a difference. I don't like L'oreal infallible foundation because it gives me rashes but that foundation is loved by lakhs of beauty gurus across the globe. I still said it out loud in my makeup video that I DON'T LIKE IT. But I won't make a separate video to bash L'oreal, that's the difference :)))
I personally don't mind if people make a separate video , I think it helps people somehow. Let's say I am thinking to purchase a product, I will search for it on youtube to look for the review of experts on it. I think it would be easier to find such information if a separate video exists by chance. It increases the visibility and benefit the both parties. What matters is the honest review. If the review is honest, we should not criticize others just because they made a separate video. Everybody's way of working is different and this diversity in working style is actually benefitting the community. From a user's point of view, I think it is not bashing but bringing the truth out before people, whether it is a separate video or not. So, honest reviews should always be appreciated.

This was what I exactly felt when chetali chaddha made a vdo specially to bash our indian brand "Minimalist" that too without even trying them without looking at the ingredient list. I felt so disgusted that who the hell is she to say those mean words without even trying it out. And rn minimalist skincare is one of the most effective skincare brand available in the market which is totally safe.

Well on that note really commendable Manasi, you actually did the thing which I had been loving about you since past 3.5 years, I can see that maturity when you just started out and today as well, the most Important thing you said, we are in a state of mind where we think Indian creators just do things to fool people, but for a fact, infact I bought shades of nykaa nailpaint after watching your video, can you beat that, in this industry we are consumers and agreeing to the fact that why not people will work for their own living, after all they have to look for their sustainability. I know some people can't accept things, but going blind for the actual creator is never taking them on any heights, I really think if you don't want to, then leave that window then and there, there is nothing to bash/talk shit about someone who is on the other side and can do nothing to you (soft targets). The real guts come when you actually try out things on your pocket expenses and guide yourself. But really I felt super sad about how things go nasty for you people, really it's very hard to still come by camera and talk and smile, and knowing for a fact that those people are still watching and still you will get nasty comments!! I used it as daily moisturizer, not as base like you showed here . I guess My skin type is kind of similar to yours.. normal skin type but sometimes dry in nose and lip area .. Most product recommendations and reviews by influencers are perceived very positively by me... but the thing about mamaearth I feel is that they have highly highly highly over promoted their products... maybe it's not the problem with the brand or with the influencers, but seeing and hearing about mamaearth everywhere somewhat made me think that everyone is unnecessarily bragging about it... It just made me loose interest in the brand... Maybe their strategy went wrong about promotion....ni personal issues with you....love your videos...😘
