Ris, Jack carried the ONLY weapon that could kill Aku, who, in the future, RULED THE WORLD, so he was sending the absolute best of the best after Jack. ALL THE TIME.
The difference between Jin vs Samurai Jack falling from space is that Jin was slowly falling, so he'd hit terminal velocity. Jack took a explosion pushing him well past terminal velocity.
@@NereidAlbel So, you don't need the number 2 headband for the number 1 to fight you. You only need the number 2 headband so you could fight the number 1.
For me, it makes sense that Jack won the battle. Afro IS fierce and skilled, no mistake about that. But Jack outclasses him in multiple ways. 1. Jack has trained in all manner of armed and unarmed combat, while Afro only received sword training. 2. While surviving an RPG explosion IS impressive, falling from orbit (after being launched back by an explosion) and surviving the crash is more so. 3. As Wiz and Boomstick mentioned, Jack had experience against opponents who fought dirty. Thus, he was able to adapt in the fight. 4. The biggest thing between them...is experience. Thanks to the effects of time travel, Jack can't age and was able to fight off many enemies for 50 years in a number of ways. While Afro is probable somewhere in his late-20's or early to mid-30's and hasn't had the amount of fighting experience Jack had
Just so you know, most of Jack's enemies are demons and robots. Some trained in ninjitsu. He also faught seven of aku's daughter's,(who are trained in ninjitsu) killed six of them, and convinced the best one to join him.
The thing with dodging light, is that even if you try to predict where it's headed, if you can't move faster than it or even close to it then you have no chance of dodging it. Unless you move well before the beam even fires, and not a couple seconds/milliseconds before or after the beam fires (especially after the beam fires).
Jack did defeat seven women, who were trained ALL OF THEIR LIVES to kill him, WITHOUT his sword (keep in mind, just one of those women was able to steam roll an army of thousands with just her barehands in a matter of minutes). He's regularly taken on armies of skilled warriors, and has casually made work of hundreds if not thousands of assassins over time. Jack spent those 50 years being chased non-stop by all sorts of assassins, bounty hunters, demons, and whoever else Aku could throw at him, basically fighting a variety of enemies (both in terms of fighting style and weaponry) on a DAILY basis. You can pretty much count that as on the job training, adding up to 67 years of training and sparring with the best of the best. Skillwise, Jack miiiiiiight have a bit of an advantage.
Fireball12, I have only 2 guesses for what it's going to be. Either Darkseid vs Thanos, or Galactus vs Unicron. I'm really hoping it's the first one, because it's only one that's debatable.
If you want an idea, 19 megatons is enough to destroy an average sized city about 3 times over, and 72 tons is enough to destroy an average sized city block almost 7 times over Also, after Carnage v Lucy, you have 2 more episodes left and you’re caught up(there’s only one other episode out ATM, but the next DB will come out next week)
Well I can't wait to see your reaction to Carnage VS Lucy and hell, I was pretty happy with the UA-cam release to it since it aired on August 15th and that's my birthday so I was excited for it when it got announced. Also question for you, after Gaara VS Toph came out, what's your most wanted Death Battle now that had came out? Mine is Noel Vermillion from BlazBlue VS Aigis from Persona 3.
Don’t know if someone else pointed this out but after the victory we see Jack now wears the #1 Headband. Fun details like that are the best part of this show.
I like this one just for the sheer fact that this Death Battle animation was, literally, drawn out traditionally like the best cartoons done on TV during the 90's to turn of the millennium.
Fun fact: The animator for this one was Jetz, who's done a lot fights since Cammy vs Sonya. Other fights include Zoro vs Erza, Natsu vs Ace, Metal Sonic vs Zero, and even Naruto vs Ichigo. Except this one was handdrawn rather than his usual sprites.
ris im going to suggest/ask you to watch both shows as they are some of the best in their respective genras and the fact that you haven't seen them yet is worrying...try watching them during your freetime if you get any as a youtuber lotsa love one of your fans from U.S.A.
Samurai Jack was such a good show, it was one of those toonami shows way back when, like Naruto or One Piece. It was a show that made a lot of use of backgrounds and was just cool to watch. It's definitely a show worth watching if you ever had the chance. I like how even here, Jack gets his hat sliced in half. When does someone not try to slice his hat?
One thing I was worried about with this Death Battle was that people were saying the #1 Headband made you invincible to anyone besides the wearer of the #2 Headband so I was really worried that Afro would win solely due to stupid invulnerability like Ganondorf did in his Death Battle, even though I have seen examples of non holy weapon things killing him...I am glad that this was merely a myth in the series and it actually had to do with skill and physical prowess as opposed to some bullshit rule that just makes winning impossible.
Main thing with the speed feats are that they aren't about just the reaction, they're about the movements of the characters in comparison to the light. Jack physically moved 71% the speed of light in tandem with the light, while Afro only had to bring up his sword during the time the light moved, which came out to far less. As well, it's usually a good idea to consider the fact that durability can easily make attacks simply NOT work. As an example, let's say you're using a sword on a piece of metal, and really not doing anything. A few seconds later, a nuke drops. That metal is absolutely GONE. This is comparable to that. You may think it's a bit of an extreme example to say a nuke, but that's literally what Jack's re-entry feat is comparable to. The fat man bomb dropped on japan is 22 kilotons, nearly a THOUSAND times less than Jack's re-entry feat. Sword or no, Afro can't hurt Jack, in any way.
@@Ris_Grestar That was mostly just for the animation. As you said, if the fight were accurate to the research, Jack would have ended the fight right away because of the speed gap. So the fight would realistically be Afro takes a swing at Jack, Jack blocks the swing with his face, and then he draws and cuts through Afro and his sword before Afro can even react. The animation is more just for entertainment, and a way to suspensefully reveal the winner
lol That's fair. I do know that the animations are just for entertainment, I just didn't take that to be one of the...embellishments, I suppose you could say. But if that's the case, that's the case!
So, I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in and say that both of them have at least moderate essences of clairvoyance, because something that I would really like to remind people about is that attacks that move as fast as light cannot be seen until they hit their enemy BECAUSE they're moving as fast as the light they're projecting, which, In that aspect would give Afro the speed advantage because he reacted to the light quicker, and then we also have the fact that... well... the durability feats of both characters has a tendency to not make sense... at all... because at the speeds of which they move these guys should literally have the durability to not be troubled by the gravity of the sun, and their striking force would also have an equivalent rise of being ridiculously powerful too because they seem to easily be able to withstand reaction to light speed attacks, but hey, if we actually used realistic physics like that (i.e. the physics that suggest the closer you get to the speed of light the greater mass you have, and once you reach the speed of light you have infinite mass) then the whole "Superman is infinitely durable" would hold up against Goku because Goku being faster than light would have 4th dimensional striking force, and trying to calculate things in relativity to how fast someone is moving is... well... difficult...
