I think that it was a blessing for us to miss that extra point, because if we happened to make it, we might have settled for a field goal to tie the game, and then we might have lost in OT. By having to score a TD to win, we were forced to go for it in the Red Zone, and we went for it and won. Mistakes, can be a good thing

Good point and a good reminder. I was not only worried about the season, but about recruiting too, even being able to keep the good recruits that we have, but now, and especially if we can beat Minnesota next week, then I think that we will be in good shape with recruits.

1st off. Will Johnson hands down best DB in the Nation. 2ndly. KM should Absolutely be RB1... Damn he just looks/runs better than the Don. Especially between the tackles. Lastly. I wish wink would run the similar pressures that Jesse mintor ran last season. I recall the defense crowding the line of scrimmage and then somewhat back off and some would pressure. The offensive line or the quarterback never really knew who was coming and who was covering. I thought that was brilliant defensive play calling. I haven't seen that yet regarding disguising coverages. Wink did a lot better job the first half this game but I have no idea where he went during the second half

Michigan did exactly what I said they had to do to win. And they did it almost to the letter.
    Now haters are gonna hate
Michigan did not concern themselves with passing... indeed, they should not. They don't have a passing QB, they have a rushing QB, rush the darn ball - and rush they did right down their throat.
I hope Will Johnson is not seriously injured, seems like they were smart and just pulled him out and saved him from Minnesota...
Michigan has now found their squad... now, they just need to win and gain that confidence to tackle the bigger squats they need to be concerned with what a great win!
Josiah Stewart literally was the ghost in Miller Moss's head the whole game...
No, He does not need to increase his pass staple. He's a rushing quarterback... it's that simple.
People need to stop trying to leverage Donovan Edwards against Khalil Mullins. They are two different backs they can be played simultaneously...
Mullins asserted himself as the designated power back, plain and simple.... Max Bredeson definitely inside TE
Donovan Edwards is the running back - don't confuse the two, let these kids play ball!
    M Go Blue 🏈

  • @MissionForward3
    @MissionForward3 11 днів тому +1

We didn't dominate in the second half. Until Mullings broke that long run, we didn't have a first down until about four minutes left in the game. We got one more before the 4th and goal winner.
I'm ecstatic we won. But I do hope some serious time is spent working on Orji's passing accuracy.
I also continue to be very aggravated by Wink Martindale, who subbed the entire D line for most of the 3rd quarter when we let SC back in the game. He still doesn't understand the talent differences between first stringers and all the rest. This isn't the NFL, damnit!

Dominant? They may have been dominant in the first half but they really failed to adapt and correct themselves in the second half. USC figured out Michigan's run game real quick at halftime. Then it was basically over with exception of one hard lucky run by Mullins. It's not too hard to stop a running offense only. I really did not see USC load the box but I guarantee other teams in line will. 32 yd of passing the whole entire game? 6 yards of offense for the second half up until less than 3 minutes in the game and we had one lucky break with his long run. Not taking away anything from Mullins but it was a hard run but lucky in a sense. Michigan has to do a hell of a lot better throughout the rest of the year obviously. The only good decision that I really saw Alex make was him not throwing the flea flicker. Other than that he did put the ball in harm's way a couple of times. One was on the out route on the left side of the field and the other one was in the corner of the end zone where it could have been picked off. I hope he does a lot better but I'm still hoping to see Tuttle get his time

  • @ReadingsbyDom

Offensively - Are players sweating turnovers which equates to being benched? Overthinking hurts performance.
Orji - I want to see him succeed. The coaching staff and Alex might want to select 10-14 pass plays and solely work on those.
    Warren - A turnover machine
Both - lack composure, patience, and panic in the pocket.
Tuttle - Who knows. He did back up JJ and Penix.
Again, The only QB that can throw and run is Jayden Davis. No experience? Does that really matter considering the pathetic play YTD?
