Thank you for this review! It is great to find this type of content on youtube! I've been using a wrap that I plan to use to carry my baby, and for now, I am using it to carry my baby bump (there are a few videos about it too, the tutorial I follow is by Candace Safarli), and it makes a huge difference when I go on walks that are 20 minutes or longer.

      Interesting!! Which wrap is it?

@@BeyondBirthingPelvicFloorPT Just any cloth wrap that is not stretchy, so like the one you suggest to use for one of the types of massages/pain relief techniques you recommend. It might be like 3 meter long

@@MaviRB OK - just want to mention that these non stretchy wraps are not designed to be used as belly support during pregnancy so I cannot recommend them for that purpose. But obviously it is just my opinion and you do what feels best for you ;)

@@BeyondBirthingPelvicFloorPT Oh that's interesting! Yes, I bought them to carry my baby around, but heard that historically, women also used them to support their bumps. I should note I am obsessed with natural fibers, so non-stretchy is a go-to option for me

I get lower back pain and have been advised by my midwife to get a belly support band/ pregnancy band. A family member said I shouldn’t get it. They said that if baby is lower down, it will be easier to give birth, and using a band will push baby up. I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant. Please advise if this is true.

Trust your provider ;) People have all kinds of opinions about what you should or shouldn't do in pregnancy even though they do not have any expertise. In doubts, always refer to a professional - your midwife has the expertise to be the best judge of that.

    Hello,
Thanks for your review. My wife is using the Anita maternity belt. It is giving her a lot of relief which is great!
I read somewhere that you should limit the time using it because of circulation. Do you know if this is true and if so do you know how long it can be used for?
    Thanks

I am not familiar with this particular belt so I would follow the manufacturer’s instructions. In general I would say we want to limit the use to daytime, and for the more heavy duty belts I normally recommend using them just for the symptomatic activities. For the lighter support ones such as the pro bump I don’t think there is anything wrong with wearing it all day since it acts basically as a maternity pant but with slightly more support.

thank you for your reply. It is a light weight one, it’s a thin elastic material with a velcro strap. She does only use it when she is up and about.
      Thanks again for the info!

Thanks for your question, I cannot comment on this since you are asking about a medical condition. This is something you should discuss with your health care provider.
