I'm hoping that spirit Halloween will eventually scale up the pack to be 100 % scaled. I mean they released a full-scale terror dog I think they can pull off a full-scale pack.

Yeah you had the Walmart trap that disappeared.
And now you have the new neutrona toy at Target. That's pretty big like a high dollar type. Just add paint and you gave a nice gb gear setup. For $100

Spirit has a trap now but I don't like how it doesn't has the wire and foot pedal with it

All they need to do now for next year is add the v hook instead of that peg and hole for the wand
The mod I'd like to see is a power button that turns and keeps the cyclotron going without activating the wand as a standby mode other than that WOW
Now if they would make the Power Cell light's screen-accurate, add a button to just add the Proton Pack power-up sound and humming and add an extra fire button, i'd 100% get one despite me living in germany

I spent alot of money updating the pack, it still needs some updates, but this pack would have saved me a great deal of scratch. Can't wait to see one with the motherboard removed. Thanks for the review.

The image shows the old, handle push button but it is indeed the pedal action trap! I've bought from them two times, and they both arrive with the pedal. Then mod it with a proper breakaway cable 👍

Hopefully they'll release a bigger one that's the same size as the movie packs
Anvonos owns the licensing to a full-scale pack.
Spirit or anyone else won't be able to release one for the near future.

As a fan who’s loved Ghostbusters since I was 3, I love this thing.

Just got one delivered while waiting on the haslab. I like it overall, but I wish it had a standby setting where only the pack lights came on with no wand lights and no audio. Pretty much just the cyclotron spinning lol 👻
Totally awesome review, I missed out on getting the Proton Pack last year and again this year.
I feel like these will be a great cheap option for fans to take apart and customize vs the screen accurate replica Hasbro one. That one while open to cosplaying feels more accurate as is and doesn’t need much in case of customizing.
For YEARS I’ve got a kick out of “oooohhhh command me lord!” 🤣🤣
I was already debating getting it for my halloween costume because most people will only see it when they see the back of my wheelchair, but it's going to get a lot of use as a new addition to my ghostbusters collection
Update: I have it and i absolutely love it. It hooked up to my wheelchair without much issue and works perfectly

Big upgrades, I'm still missing the red cyclotron lights rotating while idle. I also need the turn on and turn off sound.

I wonder if there's a way to slow the speed of the lights down, because I think I'd love to get one of these and disconnect the speaker and wand lights so I could have just the power cell and cyclotron lights running, and maybe some kind of resistor could slow the pack lights down.
You say you have a screen accurate pack? If so, have you ever done a video showing it? I'd love to see it.

Im kinda impressed with their detail on it. Well done prop. much better than the previous year and glad I saved the money for this years offering. He's super excited. I'll rock my Spengler's Neutrona wand when it comes in

The next upgrade the should do is , a way for the cyclotron & power bar lights to function independently w/o having to press the button on the wand.

I think the magnetic wand holder could be a better option. I installed one on my original spirit halloween proton pack and works perfect.
Yeah, that was my biggest problem with the original trying to get the wand back on the pack while wearing it.
@@HossBlacksilver yup the magnet one is perfect is flexible and has a strong hold in place. Im waiting to see if the guy make one the size of the spengler wand.

Envy! I prefer the updated version too but... I just used my two months of savings for the costume, ghost trap, and googles from the Spirit of Halloween Store.
mine seems to be the halfway inbetween. it has some changes but retains some of the old features, the ribbon is the newer version, while the wand and tube looks about the same as the older version

The Haslab version is spot on for a mass produced version. That thing will be worth the investment. The weathering and out of the box ready to cosplay is going to be worth it if you are wanting to be the top ghostbuster! If you go into a Halloween party with the Hasbro 100 % head turner! (I’m not paid to say this) I just love Hasbro!
Except that was a limited run and this is mass available, so sigh. I would have saved up for the Hasbro at this point but it was already too late and I'm not paying double the price aftermarket.
wish someone would just make a full size one with the same budget cutting measures of the spirit pack.

The original Ghostbusters movie used straps and pack frame from the military Alice pack. You should be able to find those at a surplus store.
I got the second gen of the proton pack and did some mods to it and it's awesome just wish it was the right color I should have waited lol

How close to actual size is the new Spirit of Halloween pack? If it's pretty close, I have considered buying an Allis pack frame from an old ruck sack and making it more authentic. I'm curious to hear your comments.

Hey Jason quick question about this pack does the cyclotron cycle through at both idle, and engaging or is it just when fired? Really interested in this pack as I have last year's model, and I'm trying to mod it currently.

Love this pack, managed to get a pre-order for it, the only thing I would like to do is remove the proton stream sounds, is there any way of doing that. but still having the lights?
I second your question, I recently modded my second gen version with the new blaster mod wand , kept spirit pack and lights , I accidentally during my mod pulled one light off everything still works , tho so I am wondering as well if you can cut the sound and keep the lights ,

Spirit Halloween really needs to fix their websites so it's accessible for customers outside of the USA. It bothers me so much they dont't ship internationally or that you can't even reach their website without a VPN.

If you remove the neutrino wand and add on the Spengler wand do you lose the ability to turn on the pack lights? I’d love to do that seeing I own two of the afterlife wands but it would suck to lose the lights on the pack because the on/off switch is on that tiny factory wand.
I left the button accessible at the base handle of my Spangler wand so the original sounds and light's still work.
Would certainly need some rewiring, or as Manny said, just make sure the button is still accessible.

Great question. You cannot. There's only one button, which always plays the sounds.
You could probably open it up and disconnect the wires to the speaker.
