Sorry for cussing in your comments..this just upsets me so much. tech jobs pay less and less and require more and more work now days and like I said before this is why. Because there are so many shade tree mechanics who will undercut the good mechanics then do a shit job. I've been trying to get a raise for over 4 years at my job and I'm the only mechanic left working there... But they won't because they know they can hire someone else for less because the tech job market is flooded with these people.
Nailed it, gotta know your worth bro. I went shop to shop until I found where I was best treated and there will still be ups and downs. Can't let it get you down, that's why we got side work foo!
@@YLegalRacing oh I know but I'm a single dad of two now so side work spare time is a hard thing to come by. Got custody of both the boys.

Did you also notice the guy did three alignments on the bmw... And if was over heating clearly he took tpains BMW out and ragged the shit out of it... I've been a mechanic here in Texas for 27 years..... Here a customer would beat your ass and then sue you for a quarter of the crap this guy George pulled

@@YLegalRacing I just don't get it.... He wasn't even getting stuff out fast so we can't say quantity over quality lol. It's just garbage all around. And to think the dude was working on people's supercars...smh

@@YLegalRacing I've never been there but I've heard some horror stories.. Texas has gotten better atleast around ft worth.. only problem is pay for techs even master techs like me is pretty much capped out now under 25 an hour.... And flag time is pretty much out the window now because they realized we could make some serious cash with that... Hell I've been at the same company I switched from working on cars and trucks to heavy industrial equipment and they actually took away yearly raises, pto, and all bonuses because they said 21 an hour was more than enough....... And they fired all the other techs but me because they realized I could do all the work. Shits bad out in these streets lol

T- Pain is definitely a saint. But Im probably sure that kind of money wasn't hurting him. Imagine the guy or girl who has that one car that's their pride and joy.
Sad thing is that dealer shops do the same thing. Had my radio replaced under the extended warranty I purchased from this particular dealer. First they tried to tell me I wasn't covered(I was). Then they tried to tell me I had aa deductible. I had to go in and prove them wrong on both points. I know how to read, and I don't like making people walk on eggshells. But I will if they try to take advantage of me.
I know bro. I work at a dealer and the extended warrantys now make it so much harder to get a straight answer. They literally don't want to pay for anything if they don't have too. And it takes a customer like you to set things straight with them. Trust me we do our best job at the dealer but extended warrantys are making us look bad in most cases.
I hate dishonest sleezy mechanics because it gives us all a bad rep... It's hard to be a high paid mechanic because of this shit right here.

My diesel shop gets shit done with constant updates. I tell them no rush but get crazy shit done in like 3 days.
Same, I've pushed stupid big jobs in and out that other shops take weeks on. I hate how lazy untrustworthy shops get so much traction

They all do, and honestly I blame the customers for haggling so much but I blame more of the shop owners that cater to those people
