Enya, has literally touched the whole planet with this masterpiece of rhythms.this song goes right into the DNA,to unlock the subtle self, free it from ethereal blockages, and set the earthman free.

What beautifully haunting and unforgettable music, and what amazingly well captured footage of spectacular, lush scenery and heavenly blue lagoons and oceans, all of which blends in together quite seamlessly, and quite brilliantly. The voice of Enya is smoothly and euphorically ethereal, and utterly captivating, as divine and spiritual as any that ever was, and as close to Heaven as we'll ever get to on this Earthly paradise. I'm spellbound and hopelessly enraptured! For her otherworldly voice can so sweetly nourish the soul, polish off the accumulated rust that corrodes it, fill one with all redeeming, soothing bliss, and purify the spirits, so much so that one becomes thoroughly transmogrified, and loftily and nobly elevated, reaching these spiritual heights that are dazzlingly magnificent, and magically surreal. For those who feel like they remember it from when they were young it’s because it was in Shrek 4 where Rumplestiltskin is using the magic mirror edit: guys don’t worry i know this song is old i’m just saying some people may remember it from shrek 4
30 years ago .... I can hardly believe it! The song was played when I was a little kid. The GDR was in their last days ... we were on vacation on the Baltic Sea ... endless expanses ... we sat on the beach with my parents. It was like a revelation. We knew a stage of life is coming to an end and a new one is beginning. It was the last summer days of 1988 ... even though I was so small, I sensed that something was going to happen. This feeling is indescribable until today ... no generation after us will ever understand how the summer 88/89 were ...
1:20 Cebu thank you Enya for mentioning Cebu, i was born in the island of cebu in cebu city '79 , i read Enya used to scuba dive a lot in the Philippines back in the day.. hence this song is an accumulation of Enya's travels all over the world

OH MY GOD I have been looking for this song for the past 5 years because a teacher once played this for our class when I was 6 and I have always remembered the chorus (just the melody not the words) and I just feel so fucking satisfied right now.
This song was playing when I was around 5 or 6 for my birthday at a gymnastics center... For my entire life, I've never known what it was. I'm now 29 years old... and today, I've finally found it. Life is good. Edit: My mom told me I was 4... God it's been so long. :')
I’m 27 now. When I was 8, I would always go to Mexico on a bus which took 4 days to get there. Whenever I boarded the bus, this song would always play before it too off. I would sing to it and felt nervous for the road trip. Through out the years I’ve NEVER! Heard this song until I was eating Panda Express a couple hrs ago and this song played in a teen drama movie that my gf was watching. As soon as I heard it, I just froze and nothing but forgotten flashbacks and memories suddenly burst! It was an emotional moment because I would always bug my dad about the song and sang it the whole 4 days. My dad died a couple of years ago from diabetes. RIP Dad! I miss you ❤️.
Enjoyed your comment, It's 2 a.m. on a Thursday morning here. I'm getting a little burnt out from listening to R+R all day. I just click on anything hoping to hear something different. So I hit this and same thing ,I've heard this many times in many places but never knew the title or the artist. The song commands you attention and then stays in your head. It's kind of like finding a lost nugget in the sand.
For me, it had been the song we listenned too when going on far journeys with my dad (about 15 years ago) and i've only heard this song again in some serie, i believe it was Black Mirror. I instantly got thrown back to the past. I'm glad you've had to relive this experience. Much love for you, and my well ment condolences, still.
This is the most beautiful song in the world. I've heard it a hundred times and will keep on hearing it every time I need a moment of sanity and to appreciate our planet and who put us here on it.
Definitely. I remember back in preschool the teacher would always play this song during our nap time I guess she thought it help us get to sleep but i just remember lying on my mat bopping away lmao
Back in elementary school, my art teacher would play Enya while we painted. Sadly, I have forgotten her name with time, but I thank her for playing it.
When I listen to Enya, I feel homesick. Then, I realize I am homesick; homesick for home. This is the sound of heaven, the other side -- the angels singing.
@PushandillPushback at the end you take with you what you ARE...at the being level..we are EVOLVING here...trying to get off the re-incarnation wheel...good luck getting off!
Omg, Cebu is mentioned in this song (proud Cebuana here). Just saw this song with lyrics. This is one of my wedding compilation songs. This is soothing...
I used to listen to this when I was going with my parents as a child to visit the mountains. I am back over 25 years after, now pregnant of my first child ❤. Feels so melancholic.
My grandpa used to play this kind of music a lot when I was in the car with him kinda creeped me out in the beginning. Now it brings me such an amazing nostalgic feeling, goosebumps rush through the body. Amazing song
When this song first came out I never heard of too many of these places.... But now all these years later, I've been to a few of them. Have to say that Palau is my favorite. Been there 2x, but flying there kicks your ass.

It's in Shrek 4, when Rumpelstiltskin talks about the Deal of a Lifetime, and it's in Hotel Transylvania 3, when Mavis sees a commercial for a monster cruise ... that's all I know :p
My Mother was a huge Enya fan so I would hear this and others all of the time but as a kid I could never understand the lyrics of the song. I always thought it was sung in another language. Thanks for this.

I nearly died 8 years and at night,
I would set this song on repeat. Enja, thank you so much
The "sail away sail away sail away" part will always be stuck inside my brain forever.
I feel like this song is taking me on a journey to the places in the pictures.
Same here
Me too, from Malaysia (2018 Vs 2021) to many fictional places

The first and favourite song i heard from Enya during my childhood. Damn! Time flies so fast 🇬🇭🇬🇭😊🙏
Being a Navy man , it about explains it all..
this song gives me a feeling i never get anywhere. its hard to explain. its too beautiful💓
To me it feels...cleansing, I guess. Not sure if that makes sense. Like drinking a glass of really good water, but as music. Not sure if that makes sense
Real shit
This song is literally used in everything but by itself it’s so beautiful, I’m actually tearing up and I don’t know why, it’s just such a great song
Damn after 10 years this video is still this active... Awesome
silhouette silhouette silhouette!
Beautiful video and glorious song, but your profanity cheapens it. Find a decent command of the English language or don't bother commenting
@@Ale-xv1un Haters gonna hate. Odd group of people, just let them.

Love this song, especially because she mentions my Filipino hometown..."from Peru to Cebu" (Philippines). Thanks (salamat!) Enya!
For those who feel like they remember it from when they were young it’s because it was in Shrek 4 where Rumplestiltskin is using the magic mirror
edit: guys don’t worry i know this song is old i’m just saying some people may remember it from shrek 4
Oran Hehe THANK YOU OMG
Which part?
When?
the fourth movie in rumpelstiltskin speech
Chuerk cuatro xd 👌
The word you're all looking for, to describe this song is, ETHEREAL, meaning, 'other worldly'.
"Astral", "cosmic", "divine", "unearthly", "spiritual".
The only word I can think of is CRINGE
It is Ethereal
nice.
So you're assuming extra terrestrial life forms evolved to be musically capable, and that they sound like humans singing in English, about sailing?
30 years ago .... I can hardly believe it! The song was played when I was a little kid. The GDR was in their last days ... we were on vacation on the Baltic Sea ... endless expanses ... we sat on the beach with my parents. It was like a revelation. We knew a stage of life is coming to an end and a new one is beginning. It was the last summer days of 1988 ... even though I was so small, I sensed that something was going to happen. This feeling is indescribable until today ... no generation after us will ever understand how the summer 88/89 were ...
It was an amazing time
This song lowers blood pressure I swear
not for me it gives me ptsd from my uncles funeral he died super tragic in a tree accident It makes my heart rate go up
@@ashtynpatterson6089 sorry to hear that, may God bring rest to his soul.

@@agentepolaris4914 it was played at his visitation I had to stay there for 8 hours with this and a few other songs on repeat
It does very calming
Yes proven effective 🤣
I go through periods of deep depression but this song always somehow provides hope in a way I can't fully articulate 😃
Mind hug for you.
Life will be better one day, keep going bro
Spirit hug from me to you.
Life can get you down but you got to get up and keep going.
Life will get better soon.
Right?!
So wonderful that this song can provide you hope. How touching! All the best!💖💗💛💚❤

thank you Enya for mentioning Cebu, i was born in the island of cebu in cebu city '79 , i read Enya used to scuba dive a lot in the Philippines back in the day.. hence this song is an accumulation of Enya's travels all over the world
Spain gave Filipinas chocolate.
The US gave Philippines AIDS.

You were born in 1992 correct?
And yes, it's a great feeling when we finally find a song we were looking for a long time lol
This song reminds me of my late father. He would play it loud on a Saturday during our chores. Happy memories.
Mr. Green you'll always have the wonderful memories with you forever!! They're yours and nobody can ever take them away. May your dad rest in peace.
May his soul Rest in Perfect Peace Amen
"8th grade" brought me here too.. i had completely forgotten about enya lol
This is the most beautiful song in the world. I've heard it a hundred times and will keep on hearing it every time I need a moment of sanity and to appreciate our planet and who put us here on it.
wouldn't mind entering heaven to this song
My mom passed away while Enya was playing in November 2020.
I sincerely hope we get to choose our entrance jam
Eighth Grade brought me here. Amazing movie, and what a perfect song to be featured in it!
Anyone else got a weird nostalgic vibe and started to think about their childhood? Just me... oh ok 💀

I remember this song from a long running commercial. I forget what commercial though.
It was in a movie called 8th grade, came out last year maybe there.
It's in Shrek 4, when Rumpelstiltskin talks about the Deal of a Lifetime, and it's in Hotel Transylvania 3, when Mavis sees a commercial for a monster cruise ... that's all I know :p
It sounds like the OST for Halo 2, Delta Halo
This song is from the commercial Chivas Reagal
My Mother was a huge Enya fan so I would hear this and others all of the time but as a kid I could never understand the lyrics of the song. I always thought it was sung in another language. Thanks for this.
