- In this tutorial, Dan Worrall introduces FabFilter Pro-C 2, the next major version of FabFilter's widely used compressor plug-in. After a quick presentation of the most obvious improvements, Dan will explain all new features in more detail.
*SUDDEN BUT VERY REASONABLE DECREASE OF BANK ACCOUNT FUNDS!*
Fabfilter plugins + Dan Worrall tutorials = AutoLike Everytime (for me, at least)
I could listen to the guy that narrates these introductions videos all day !
Your UI's are head and shoulders above your competitors, and it looks like you still keep improving! Great "usage-driven" product design.
I hope you guys will receive the success you deserve.
This is the 23th time I’ve watched this vid in 1 year… I think I‘ve finally catched it’s pace and full beautiful content 😂❤❤ because in all the previews times I’d seen it, I’d never understood what he has doing and/or saying 😂❤🎉 THANKS DANNN AND FF! You ROCKKK I LOVE YOUUUU
Your GUIs are incredible! Pls make a DAW :D
Imagine their daw with all plugins 😁
FabFilter Pro D
If a Fab Filter tutoria is done by Dan Worral, then i just know i will fell in love with the plugin.
Brilliant work once again! All the controls one could dream of with the kind of visual feedback many analysers don't even do as well. Thumbs up.
Incredible. FabFilter you're the best.
Best plugins ever!! Fuck Off UAD!!
+FridoomAssassin lmao smfh :P
How did you guys get Danny DeVito on the drums?
Henry Hill One glance at Pro-C 2 in Full Screen mode and he was in ;-)
fabfilter hahaha i love the response
Jerry Mateo lol... brilliant response :)
+Henry Hill just the fact that you asked that means Danny knows more about good vst plugs than you do.
Henry Hill I guess it was Arnold Schwarzenegger before, but he got compressed.
FabFilter plugins are incredible! As are these tutorials!
Since Pro-c2 came in we put it on all the tracks we mix!
This is why love fab filter. You guys actually explain your plug-ins and keep them simple but not basic. Nice GUI as always.. Please continue with in depth videos for your plug-ins I will watch em all -@ayyyroc
Looks like a great update. Looking forward to the demo.
I'm impressed. With this and the recent(ish) EQ updates you seem to have put in everything you might possibly want an EQ or compressor to do.
I can't help but impulse buy these upgrades, they're just too tempting
Greatly presented, very interesting and impressing the way the compressor works with the integrated EQ settings. The graphical output of the frequencies, including the compressor behavior, in the background, gives an absolute beautiful and clear image of the ongoing sound.
This is a great up date! Full screen on all your plugins ! Especially multiband pls. It does amuse me slightly that everybody is excited by a software compressor though, you guys love processing your dynamics isn't it :)
This plugin was ahead of its time.
Among the many things that make these plugins so incredible is that, on the surface, they’re super easy to dial up and quick to adjust. But right alongside are an entire host of ridiculously useful deep features. I mean...honestly...there could be a course dedicated solely to fabfilter’s plugins at berklee.
hahaha the man
And again a versatile upgrade for an already fabolous compressor plugin!
The sound, flexibility and handling of the FF plugs is just stellar.
I'm curios what comes next.... ;)
wow..... what an incredibly complete piece of software
Excited beyond belief for this.
love your tutorials man! thanks!
Awesome! Love the new features.
Still waiting for the promised video on the new more exotic stereo-linking sidechain options!
Sweet. Very very sweet.
Looks excellent, sounds excellent... well done !!
lol at the computer not being able to handle the fullscreen mode with enough frame rates. :P
I literally own all the fabfilter stuff. now i have something new to buy XD
Very clean compressor
Very helpful - thank you!
very nice tutorial ! well done
Incredible drummer!!!
This is fucking awesome. Gonna by the Fabfilter Mastering Bundle soon! So amazing, thanks for your amazing VST's and sexy GUI. All the best to the Fabfilter team! :)
Fabfilter is AMMAAAZZZZZINNNGGGG!!!
Dan's live reaction to Danny DeVito drumming, though 😱
You guys are awesome
take my money already
Best in the game
Man, this is awesome!!
Best compressor ever
fabfilter have defenetly best idea than others
10 years advance on this compressor
fantastic!
Are you guys planning for some hardware compressors and eq's as well, believe me the hardwares will be a grand sucess !! or alternatively you can have your plugins loaded in some chip and be housed in a hardware unit. just like tc finalizer. its digital + analogue !
This plugin was dope 👌
Yes, Fabfilter plugins are amazing, but can we just marvel at the quality of their tutorials? They feel like they're shot live... but how can that be? 🏆
@FABFILTER I have any idea for a plugin/function (maybe it already exists?). Parallel drum compression plugin (with saturation options?) that auto-gains the wet/dry blend. For example... I want NY style parallel compression and I only want to parallel crush the drum shell mics, when I buss them into a compressor and crush those and blend them back against the entire kit, the shells overall are now of course louder, so then I need to rebalance the shells/non-shells blend against the whole kit. Maybe this is more of a routing riddle, anyway just an idea...
is the lookahead analyzing the external sidechain signal for peaks, or internal sidechain?
One question: Does the look ahead still work when external side chain is activated? (Say for Kick-> Bass Guitar compression)
Espectacular !!
FabFilter are the best for lot of reasons, the only plug ins you need to get a great pro mix + Soundtoys or Eventide for FX´s and you are in a great level, of course if you know how to use it, but with Fab Filter it is easy. Cause there are excellent tutorial on the tube by them and all the Fab Filter stuff is visual, but still needs a clever brain to be creative.
Exactly which FX plug-ins do you mean by Soundtoys and Eventide?
Im gonna get this for the Autogain only... Why aren't there more compressors with autogain?
Ok, i think i need this
you are the best !!!
hi. Is not a bit counterintuitve the presence of the attack and release controls, when "OPTO" style is selected?
Nothing on the site yet? Between this and Logic 10.2 with Alchemy, I might just have to book some time off from the day job.
Anything revealed what an update from Pro-C (1) to Pro-C 2 will cost yet?
how to achieve the typical ducking effect like i use this with ableton compressors? I really do not understand how this sidechain works especially with ipados.
Will it/is it available on auria??? @fabfilter thanks for the tut
Yesss
YES!
seriously. I've hawe bootlegs copies ... but fabfilter is the fucking the best plugins on this infernal planet....
When will it be available?
That last demonstration is probably the closest thing you can get to multiband compression if you only have one band
Great !
amazing!!!!!!!
when they explain how the plugin is being used to process the audio on the tutorial itself 🤯
Is that Danny Devito on the drums @ 00:46?? Lmao
whelp thats all i got time for....
Got me at "Click" free bypass button
Incredible. M
YESYESYES
Can I have a copy of this video to study at a more opportune time for me ?
As a download to my hare drive .
Marlow Durden Use keepvid or something
Danny DeVito on the drums!
Umm why don;t you guys have your own DAW again???
Does anyone know why my pro-c2 makes everything sound WAY louder even when i just first load it up?
Default settings are threshold at -18 and auto make-up gain. That's why.
Top class
License?
Just take my money :D
unusually intelligent... now thats a new one lol
🎉
Wait, but what headphones near the threshhold do?
Pavel V. Using this button, you can listen to the 'triggering': you'll hear the actual compression (the audio that you are 'loosing') instead of to the compressed result. Very handy to check if you're fully catching transients etc.!
fabfilter thats freaking awesome
fabfilter Wow, neat idea.
+fabfilter Very cool! If that listen mode does what I think it does, It could be very useful to use as a sort of transient enhancer if the 'listened' signal is mixed back in parallel with the dry signal (Ableton racks would be perfect for this). Add a pro G and Saturn to the 'triggered' chain/channel for extra shaping ... I think I'll be enjoying this!
If no compression is occuring, say, in a hard knee situation, with all of the signal below the the threshold, will the monitored output be silent when using this feature? That'd be a fantastic alternative feature in and of itself, to be able to isolate things that way.
+fabfilter sick
time to introduce an chanellstrip...with dyn eq
Reaper :)
1:48 RIP
The lag looked pretty bad when u went full screen tho
He is screen recording, this always causes lag. I highly doubt there is lag knowing ff.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY !
pro c2 makes a really poor compression on extreme settings
when is version 3 coming out
BRUHHHHHH
There r 2 knobs in gain and dry plzz what exactly do the side knob
come to steam
I can barely hear the commentary over the music, wtf! This an audio tutorial by Fab Filter?!?!?
Shut up and take my money!!!!
any chance of getting someday a free upgrade you stingy dutch
PROPER AUTOGAIN HNNNNNGGGGG
wow this the shit
(in a good way)
Yo, I feel bad for that guy.... he's been drumming for so long and you just kept talking.
I love what you do, and own most of your products. Your videos, which introduce your products, are of little value. I think it would serve you better to have the accompanying music, preferably one instrument, illustrate what the narrator is explaining. Instead, you have a variety of instruments, which are so distracting from the actual discussion. I find they completely distract the viewer from the discussion. It certainly doesn’t promote what is being discussed by the orator. If you had one instrument, demonstrating what the narrator is discussing, it would create a much more powerful demonstration as to what these brilliant plug ins do. I found these tutorials absolutely worthless. That being said, you make the finest products on the market, and I wouldn’t dream of using any other.
