The Axial® Capra™ 1.9 Unlimited Trail Buggy Builder’s Kit is a “new from the ground up” design that any advanced RC enthusiast eager for cutting-edge crawling will appreciate. Its Currie F9 Portal Axles provide extra ground clearance at the diff pumpkin for the best crawling performance. With the included DIG transmission, you can also switch on the fly between 4WD and FWD directly from your 3-channel transmitter - locking the rear axle whenever you need the tighter turning radius of front drive power. The Capra features a realistic tube chassis design and metal gears everywhere, from the center transmission to the lockers and portal axles. It rides on licensed Raceline 3-piece molded beadlock wheels that can be fitted with whatever 1.9 tires you prefer. For pioneering performance in an RC trail buggy kit, choose the Axial Capra.

I am one of the people that think it looks like a Bomber, BUT that is a good thing. I like the Bomber. Its a good truck and as far as I am concerned this is the Bomber 2.0. They took what was good and made it better from the ground up. I am going to order one from my local hobby shop when they can do it. I don't understand why calling it a Bomber is a bad thing.
Most exciting Axial in a long, long time and mostly because it's a clean sheet design from Horizon.

One strange one oh how wrong you were
Making room on the shelf next to my other axial rigs for this. As a fellow who is not particularly interested in the scale truck side, it’s great to see a buggy from axial....and the dig is just icing on the cake.
Looks fantastic! Nice job on the release Axial. Love the video.. the rig looks extremely capable, just like it’s eponym. Great to see it offered as a kit, with a DIG included, and with SICK axles & servo-on-axle performance. Can’t wait to get one!

Got the SCX10II then a SCX10, was thinking of a Bomber as a change, then this comes out !! *JUST TAKE MY MONEY* lol, servo on axle I like, no bump steer, less links is less slop, keeps the weight lower. I fancy trying portals ( but not on my SCX10's lol) and Capra looks like a good platform for them, the DIG is a nice touch too....

Looks like a sweet performance rig. The long thing is I personally prefer to run a full size battery not shorties in my rig. (Want that run time)
SMC Racing makes a 4000mah 3s shorty pack battery that will fit in this truck like a glove.

Roadside RC I think it’ll look different next to one, seems like being 1.9 it’s got to be a bit smaller
Looks great out there on the rocks - and everyone thinking it's a Bomber 2.0, this is nearly 5 1/2 inches shorter overall, but almost the same width - and the transverse battery box only holds Shorty packs, so the body is also much narrower, helping the center of gravity. The portals will adversely affect the COG slightly, but the narrower, shorter and lighter body and the fact that it's on 1.9" tires instead of 2.2" will more than make up for it. This will literally climb like the goat that it's named after... and because it is lighter, you can run a Mamba Micro X ESC and a lower-kv and smaller brushless motor (like a Holmes Hobbies Stubby) and still get all the power and torque you could ever need.

So many great options on this car. The dig transmission is a huge deal. I was wondering when I would see something like this from Axial. Never wanted to do the dual motor method for dig.

Just a revised Bomber....It actually couldn't be better but you guys made it better... the 1:59" to 2:02" part on video shows why... I have a Bomber, and actually see this is a better crawler all over the place! Good job! think The next step is to put a U shape inverted where the diff's sit... and not a U for the diff pocket! lol Impossible? Nah...humans will get it! :)

Agreed. From what I've seen of the trx4 sport, you need to mod ( spend quite a bit of money) the truck a bit with weight up front and whatnot in order to get it to crawl and climb like this.
You do know it's just a slightly modified RR BOMBER and a YETI and maybe a wreith combined right

The cage is completely different, the transmission is brand-new, the axles are brand-new, this is as close to a clean sheet design you're going to see now days.
Go look at a RR10 and this side by side, they aren't even close is size or proportions.

Theres still life in the old SCX10, its kinda weird as I prefer it to my SCX10II !! Gotta keep the faith LOL

I have been an Axial Racing fanboy since the CF-100 kit was first introduced, and really love the AR44!!! Just don't have any use for the Single Piece Axles...

SCX10 II UMG 10, running portal axles !?!?...
Looks nice but Its literally the bomber just the body is a little smaller and comes with Portals which is the only thing I like about it. But if you already have the bomber then you are better off just keeping it and getting portals I feel like unless you wanna blow some money on the truck just to get the few cool accessories that you could do yourself on whatever truck you have.

Its cool if you're looking for a crawler as long as it really does come with overdrive and dig options, but I already have a lot of time and money in my Bomber so is this my next 1.9 rig?
It doesn't come with overdrive, but axial will have OverDrive gears for the front available soon after the Capra is released , or quite possibly at the same time.
I'll have to wait and order the chassis. Not a fan of portals. I like a challenge when driving.

Servo on axle is going backwards
This is a performance rig. Servo on axle is better than chassis mounted servo with pan hard bar in regards to performance. Not backwards at all

Thank you RC VooDoo for not being the only one to not drool over this. You took the Bomber put smaller wheels on took the back tire off and put, on servo portal axles. Color me impressed! It's a RTR comp rock crawler basically. Probably flips over every 5 seconds like the Bomber too if you actually wanna drive it around and take a turn at more than 1 MPH. Yet you call it a trail buggy. This is the best we can expect from Horizon Just rebranded crap! Just like the stupid Wriath 1.9 I guess the best mind at axial was the guy that went to Red Cat. You may as well be Traxxas with their 5000 TRX 4 models. You couldn't even change the damn body what a joke. What's next a new Jeep?
