The day before Christmas, 2005, my oldest brother suffered a major stroke at 59 years of age, and, began suffering seizures at the same time. I took the suggestion to sprinkle Powdered Nutmeg on his cereal, or, porridge every morning, along with his dose of Dilantin. After he had been taking the Dilantin for nine months, the Neurologist decreased the dose, and, he suffered a mild seizure. After twelve months, the dose of Dilantin was decreased with no ill effects. In fact, in 2010, a Neurologist in Jamaica began weaning him off his medication, and, even when the level was less than 2 in his blood, he didn't suffer a seizure. Blessédly, when I told a cousin-in-law, who was a Cardiologist, and Specialist in Internal Medicine, and, a friend who was a Surgeon, they said wirh the damage to his brain, my brother had to be on the medication for the rest of his life. Immediately, the Doctor prescribed the full dose of Dilantin for him, and, he never suffered another seizure until he was admitted to hospital in 2015, and, he was neither given his medication, nor, Nutmeg whilst there. He died on the 28th., February, 2017, without suffering another seizure. I am firmly convinced this was due to the Nutmeg. It takes a long while to act, but, when it does, it is effective.

I can't shake the image of that boys' face as he fights so stoically to hold back the tears. It's haunting me morning noon and night. I don't know the language...I don't know what the conversation was, but it doesn't matter. The fear and sadness in his eyes is palpable. Completely heartbreaking.
The bideo of the women feeding the soldiers hit me hard. I was an MP and we were conducting exercises. We were practicing night azimuth maneuvers and the Sgt of the squad I was in read the coordinates wrong and we ended up on someones farm. It was way after midnight. We must have scared the hell out of the middle aged couple, because the man opened the door with a Mossberg 12 gauge in his hand. We identified ourselves and what we were doing. We ended up about 15 miles from our objective point. While the our sergeant asked ti use the phone to call the base, the wife made us coffee and made up about 2 dozen scrambled eggs and fried some ham and sausage for us for a real early breakfast. It took about 2 hours for a deuce and half to come get us and the couple fed them as well. Found out the husband was a Marine vet that had served 3 tours in Vietnam. The fact that thus coupleb opened their home to us was great. My Sergeant never lived that down. A few days later, the husband and wife stopped by the main gate of the base and asked if we had made it back safely and dropped off a care package of backed goods for us.
