- Israeli forces have carried out a dramatic raid in Gaza to free some of the hostages captured by Hamas on October the 7th. The news that four hostages were freed, including Noa Argamani, has brought relief and celebration to Israelis, but it has also been reported that 100 Palestinians were killed by the IDF during the course of the operation.
Palestinian-American commentator Omar Baddar, host of the Part of the Problem podcast Dave Smith and journalist Emily Austin join Piers Morgan to discuss whether Israel has any limits, or if any international power could stem the violence it commits to achieve its goals.

I personally don't see the need for "debates". None of them are policy makers, the only thing they're litigating are their positions in the court of public opinion. Morgan does a terrible job moderating when the guests don't behave themselves, so the proper format would be to address each person separately, allowing them to make their case in full without interruption from other guests. He has started to do that in some of his shows, and it's been better for the audience in my opinion.

As for Piers, if you are made to look after hostages or comply with terrorists under threat of your own family dying are you also a terrorist, and does that mean you cant allow these people to have political solutions? When he pointed that Israel deny human rights from Palestinians in the occupied territories, he kind of forgot to mention that there were few peace deals on the table that the PA rejected, and were followed by big waves of terror. So, this kind of "feeds" the more right wing partied in Israel with the narative that Palestinians don't want peace. they just want to throw out all the Jews and take over the country. Not saying this is the case (although it's partly true) but just saying that it's more complected than making the impression that Israel just don't feel like giving Palestinians rights and to go toward a 2 states solution. Given Israel security is assured - 80% of Israelis would agree to that.
