- I wrote this not long after my Dad passed away from cancer in 2018. I remember spending the day cleaning up around the farm I grew up on and spent most of my life. Lots of memories from that farm. I miss him every day.
this is the hardest piece of music i have ever listened to ! , your dad will live forever because of it.
My mothers birthday is today. 🥳. She has advanced Alzheimer’s. Later stage. All that makes sense to the both of us is music. And here you are one of my favorite musicians. Posting something like this today 🙏👍🌈🥹👋🎈

I didn't know you lost your father. I lost mine 2 weeks ago today. He drove me to and from med school, unloading my wheelchair every day so I could get an extra half hour of sleep. He caught me when I fell through chemo. Helped me relearn how to walk after open heart surgery. And he always always kept me smiling, through the worst.
I don't see how life will ever be the same. But one thing someone told me that I'm sure of myself, is that I was so damn lucky to have him. So damn lucky, like most of us with fathers are, or were.

I’m so sorry for your dads loss and for the pain you have to go through. My dad has been battling cancer for the past couple years, and I lost loved ones to it as well. This song actually happens to be one of my favorites of yours. Your very talented, and I have no doubt your dad would be so proud of you. I believe he looks down on you and he smiles. I know we are just subscribers on the internet, but we are real people typing these comments too, so my words are coming from a real place. This song evokes a lot of emotion for me too. Sorry for your loss Tom, today I have lost an important person and I remember all the moments I spent with that person, it feels sad to remember those good times... I really like this music, it makes me nostalgic and can better remember the times I spent with her

I can understand how you must be feeling, as I feel the same after I lost my Dad. It's a natural course and we all have to pass through this. Stay strong!!

Sorry to hear about your loss. I know your pain I lost a son a few weeks ago. It's hard. But sometimes beautiful music like this helps eases the pain. Loving your music for years.

Hi Tom. I lost my dad in May 2022. It was one of the most difficult, raw, and yet powerful things I have experienced in this life. I was able to be by his side and look after him in his dying days, and it was like he became my child. These moments that bring us great sadness and pain are here to teach us the value of love. Always return to the path of love, brother. Peace to you my friend, and thank you for all your beautiful music that touches my heart.

Am sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my step-dad back in April to COPD so we're all trying our best to support each other during these rough times. Like others have said here, I'm happy to hear you have lots of fond memories of your father to reminiscence on, as I have of my step-father.
