As a 70yo life long Rickenbacker player....outstanding!!
Here's to many more years, Richard! Thanks for your comment!
The bright tone of this guitar sounds perfect for Shine, holy hell. It almost sounds like the song was made for it.
Thank you! Rics don't work well with any type of distortion, but this type of fuzz just sounds great.
Excellent playing but also what a impeccable music taste! Elliiott Smith, The Jam, Kurt Vile, Low, and Jeff Buckley all in the same playlist? Hell yeah!
I hear you!
You had me at Cherub Rock.
Haha, thank you!
Man ! The Jam "In the City " WAS LIT ! You really captured that 77' punk rock feel !
Love the angriness of the playing too, still very precise
That Collective Soul tone was DEAD-ON.
Thank you!
The 360 has been a tone monster for generations and will continue to be. Nice riff presentations. 🎧❤
Thank you!!
I had a late-60's Rick 360 and loved it! Pair it with a cranked Vox and you are in for a treat.
Great video!!! Hope you make more!!
Thank you!
The Jam are my absolute favorite band! Nice playing.
I salute you for playing "In the City!" This reflects very positively on you. Bravo.
Epic again !
Awesome playing
Excellent job!
I recently acquired a next to new 360/12 and love it
Now a 360/6 is in order !
Love your Ric videos!
Sounds great!
Great job with these riffs! 🤘🏻🤘🏻 I absolutely love that Rickenbacker guitar! 😍 A rick guitar is definitely on my wish list, so I hope to have one someday. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
L.A. was fucking awesome! What an unexpected treat, no one ever busts out Elliott Smith in these types of videos.
I just love that song. And just about all that he's done.
@@becauseguitarsolos1264 The tone was pretty spot on. His best album too!
Cool guitar nice riff selection
Outstanding playing! Great choice of songs too!
Thank you!
Brill had my 360 for over 20 years great guitar.
Super sound
Good video
Muy bueno!!! Muchas gracias!!!
Good job mate 👌 I use drop D on my 330 for the Jeff Buckley tune
Rock on!
I've been borrowing my brother in law's Rickenbacker 350SH and it's a crazy great guitar! People think Ricks are only for jangley mild overdrive stuff, but I've put it through full overdrive, distortion and crazy fuzz, and it sounds killer in all situations. Hell playing Ramones songs on it is just too much fun!!
Oooh, the Susanna Hoffs. I've never seen that one in the wild. Enjoy!
@@becauseguitarsolos1264 Yup #100 of 250 full production run from 89-90. He bought brand new in in Feb 1992 as it sat unsold at his local music store. Paid $1000 then, what I paid for my SG Standard 8 months earlier in 1991. I'll let you check Reverb and see which guitar has appreciated in value by a CONSIDERABLE margin! He had no idea until I informed him recently of it's current value. Needless to say, I'm taking VERY good care of it while in my possession as I can't afford to buy from him! LOL!
@@msmoniz Let's just say your brother is a lucky man.
fantastic playing :)
Excellent collection of riffs on great Ric! Short question on your rig for this: did I hear some 12-string emulation on some? I use Digitech Mosaic with my own Ric sometimes. Great pedal BTW.
Many thanks for your comment! What you're hearing is that some parts are doubled or matched with alternate chords, which adds some shimmer.
I'm wondering...does your 360 have a hum that comes when you roll all the volume knobs to 0? A hum that only goes away when you touch the strings/metal? I'm used to rolling the volume off when I'm setting my guitar down in between songs, and can't do it this way. Is this normal due to the Ric's unusual wiring scheme? Or is it a defect to be fixed?
I haven't experienced this myself, but people on Rickenbacker forums talk about it and say it's due to the wiring: www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=417167 If it bothers you in a live situation, I'd use a volume pedal or a stompbox tuner to kill the noise between songs.
Far out. Amp?
Thank you! I used three different amps: AC30, JCM800, Plexi. For pedals I used compression, a treble boost, and a Big Muff, in various combinations and settings.
Hat Paul Weller nicht auf einer 330 gespielt?
Ja, absolut, die meisten Bilder von ihm sind mit einer 330.
Gear specs?
I'm almost ashamed to say it. It's the guitar into a Focusrite interface into Garage band.
@@becauseguitarsolos1264 Perfecto. Simple. Pure guitar.
Первый и последний были наилучшие
Rickenbacker, the favourite guitar of the "non gigging" musician....Nice strumming thing at home on the sofa...but they're just difficult to play...the neck is narrow, bending a note is like, forget it, doing a run with the sticky painted neck is a struggle...they're beautiful and fun for strumming and a few arpeggios but that's about it, 1 trick pony which is pretty expensive compared to what it does...overall these guitars have not really evolved well with their time either...They had the Dakota and Sierra 30 years ago which was aiming at modernising the thing a bit, but I guess they're simply struggling filling in the back orders from boomers trying to play a hard day's night...
