    FAQ:
1- Where do you get your figures?
Everywhere. Literally everywhere. Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Antique Malls, Thrift Stores, Flea Markets, eBay, Amazon, Facebook, Online Forums, Friends, etc. This video details the answer. • FAQ- Where Do I Find/B...
2- Can you review __? Can you make a ___ video?
I do appreciate requests, suggestions, and video ideas, however, I get so many that it's impossible for me to keep track of them. It's okay to ask, but I may not be able to get around to it.
    3- Can I have ___?
I do not and will not sell or give parts of my collection to those who simply ask for something in the comments of one of my videos.
4- Can you check out my channel?
Sure. I tend to check out people's channels if they're active on the channel, or seem like they may be interesting. However, I'm very picky on what I subscribe to, and I just don't watch every kind of video just because someone asked me to. Same goes for shout-outs, I cannot fairly shout-out somebody for no reason other than they asked, it would be unfair to anyone else who were to ask and I would be unable to do so. A shoutout from me will not gain you much viewership or subscribers.

The amount of vehicles, army-builders, and scenery pieces coming out of Jazwares' Halo line really remind me of how Hasbro handled Star Wars back in the day and I'm glad at least one mass-market company still seems to realize the importance of world building in the 3.75" scale.

You get a load of bases, a few of weapon crates, a couple of fusion coils, more or less the whole Infinite UNSC weapon loadout, a couple of figures, and a drop shield. Best part is that all of these only costs $30, so all of the extras are really only $10 excluding the prices of the figures.
Also not Jazwares, but I recently got the JoyToy armor set for $40 and it really has a Halo 3 Crow's Nest feel to it, so it works really well with Jazwares' stuff.

3.75 inch is the perfect scale for world-building. You can have ships that figures actually fit in and headquarters that don't take up your whole living room and not bankrupt yourself in the process. My friend and I used to have massive battles with hundreds of figures and these just couldn't be done cost-effectively on a six-inch scale. You need to look at figures through the eyes of a kid and what they can afford and store. I look at kids buying the 3.75 inch Final Faction figures from Dollar Tree and swapping heads on them and repainting them and actually playing with them. A friend of mine who is a teacher said kids actually bring them to school and play in the sand box with them. You just can't see a kid bringing a $15 Star Wars Vintage Collection figure and doing that for fear of losing it. Six inch is good for some but I miss well articulated Marvel Universe figures and would gladly get them over the Legends figures. My biggest gripe is Hasbro making only certain figures (like the Bad Batch) in 6 inch and snubbing the 3.75 market.
I hope 3.75 never goes away.

I will forever mourn the ending of Marvel Universe. I'm able to fill some holes with the new Retro figures, but it's just not the same as a good MU. As someone with more limited space, those figures are still really great to fill out a big old shelf with. If any 3.75 inch line were to come back, I'd want that one.

3.75" figure collecting is always an interesting topic to discuss. I honestly love both scales and really don't know why 3.75" doesn't do as good. Surely they still care somewhat about the 3.75" line, the new Star Wars figures that are all new molds have been IMO the best quality/engineered 3.75" figures they've ever done. And every time I go to walmart or whatever the pegs are almost never full of these, so they must be selling? I don't know.

As per usual J4, I think you're pretty on point. That's not exactly how I collect 3.75" scale figures, but if I could afford it, I probably would. The scale is perfect for collecting in massive quantities or to have a nice small collection of figures you enjoy and they can interact with vehicles or dioramas without taking up your whole shelf. I just collect in mass the ones that speak to me, and that's the clones. Any clone trooper is welcome in my collection in any condition. They each tell a story and they take me back to the bright eyed kid seeing clone wars for the first time and becoming enamoured with the heroic soldiers who would give anything to do what's right. They characters represent the kind of man I wanted to grow up and be, and I think to some extent it worked, they played a huge influence on my personality because the show lasted into my adulthood. I collect because they have a special place in my heart and I have my whole army in that scale. I love tbs but if I had my choice, 1/18th just fits with what I've spent the better part of 20 years building. Seeing it kinda get phased out slowly and sidelined has been very sad, especially when there's so many distribution problems and tracking down new figures takes so long and getting old ones costs a fortune unless you buy lots in bulk.

Personally i don't see the appeal of 6" Star Wars figures. 6" doesn't have that many figures, you can't really compare it to 3.75" figures. There are figures that are kinda "out of place", like Commander Gree, who do you display Gree with? 6" doesn't have 41st clone, EP3 Yoda or Luminara. It's missing essential figures too. Also i find Black Series to be more expesnsive and rarer than 3.75", it's just harder to collect imo

But never did I think when interacting with my friends toys did I think they were small and dumb. 3.75 was just the toys that made my friends happy and that's how I view it now. 3.75 is just another thing that brings other people joy, and I'm glad it exists.

Back on the 60's 12" GI joes where the dominant scale, later for most part of the 70's mego 8", then on the 80's Kenner star wars and Hasbro GI Joe dominated the action figure market with their 3 3/4" figures. They where popular because they where affordable had vehicles. Now days with prices of collectible 6" and 7" figures rising, driving kids and collectors out of the market, companies will have to go back to that 3 3/4" formula.

I used to collect 3.75 figurrs up until they started doing 5 POA figs. I completely fell off after that, even though the vintage collection is still great, once I switched to black series I just couldn't go back. I still sometimes buy 3.75 figures (mainly ones based on TCW or the prequels) but they're just too uncommon to find in stores to justify collecting them anymore.

  • @RustbeltCollector

I wish I knew why the focus was being taken off of 3.75” in the Star Wars realm. I get that it’s more geared towards collectors (as most toys are now), but the world building elements cannot be replicated in other scales. This is why I’m leaning into the World of Halo line with my collection and reviews here on UA-cam. They are doing 3.75” right! It’s just unfortunate that if someone isn’t a halo fan, they won’t have an equal line for their fandom.

  • @tallietorchersproductions2740

Mattel still makes 3.75 Hammond Collection for the same reason as Star Wars, so the characters can interact with vehicles like the JP Jeep, the Ford Explorer, and Owen's motorcycle so that they can make dinosaurs more affordably while still scaling nicely with the human figures. (that's part of why the 6 inch Amber Collection line died off)

I don't think it's about profit margins. One of the reasons why Hasbro pushed everyone into collecting 1/18th Marvel stuff when they got the Legends license was because, supposedly, of rising Oil Prices. That's still an issue today. the R&D on a lot of figures is not very high esp. when they re-use so many parts. I remember too at the time the SiC Kiwami Tamashi(super detailed Kamen Rider figures) had figures in this scale for not that much more that had incredible detail and paint apps. I'm not sure why the 1/18th figures ended up costing as much as they did. The 6 inchers are also way more expensive than when i was collecting the Toybiz stuff.
The 4 inch figures not only use *far* less plastic, but also cost *far* less to ship about. The reason people moved away from it was largely due to Hasbro moving away with it and setting the trend with the Marvel Legends and now Star Wars stuff. Maybe there are other issues, but for the most part it is simply because the people in charge aren't interested in this scale. There's been a lot of stuff behind the scenes with Hasbro specifically that strongly suggests this.
Like you said if they weren't selling they'd be done already. I honestly suspect it's purely preference & spite on behalf of those in charge.

Personally, I think both 3.75" and 6" can and should coexist, since they both serve their own unique purposes and are both good in their own ways. 3.75" is more collectible, accessible and portable, whereas 6" is more premium feeling and usually more posable.
Also, big characters like sentinels are easier to make if they're intended to be to scale with 3.75" figures, since they can just be 6" or maybe smaller depending on the character, whereas with 6", they'd have to be like 10" tall or whatever and would cost a lot to both make and buy, and that just kinda sucks imo.

As a Star Wars 3.75 collector, if you were to ask this question 2 years ago, I would've said yes, they're trying to kill the line. However, since late 2019, we've seen the collector community start getting more vocal for that scale. 2020 saw an uptick in figure options for the scale, and the massive success of the HasLab Razorcrest fueled the fire even more. Hasbro has made it quite clear they hear us, so while I agree the line has been shifted over for Black Series, it's pushing its way back.

I'd say yes/no. Dying in terms of being the main scale of figures the on the pegs? Yes. Dying in terms of people losing interest? No. It's funny, because 6" inch figures were typically more of a "Collector's" scale back in the day, but now they've more or less taken over everything. Kids don't buy action figures quite the same way they used to, and it'd seem the ones that do, are mostly buying 6" inch figures because that's essentially all that's available.
That being said, there's still a niche market for the 3.75" inch scale, because there are 100% still Collectors that enjoy buying them. Especially now with this whole "retro" thing that's been going on everywhere, 3.75" inch figures kind of have a new life in some ways. So in closing, while I don't think there will ever be a time where we see dozens of figures in a smaller scale loading up the pegs; I also do not believe they'll be gone forever. With Star Wars especially, the smaller (new) figures we HAVE gotten have all been absolutely excellent, so it's now become a quality over quality kind of game. It saddens me that we're in that kind of state currently with action figures, but I also realize this is a different generation than the one we grew up in. Needless to say, kind of like Rock, 3.75" inch will never truly die.

They almost stopped entirely with the human characters till they decided to pack them with a Dino and they seen to have success with that. They’ve also been slowly adding more characters from the first film via legacy collection, whether it’s a con exclusive or packed with other accessories. They been trying to dip into the 6” scale with amber collection but it doesn’t interest me. I find myself going more for 3.75 figures, excluding superheroes since the only good ones are the 6”.

I love 3.75 inches because im a kid and love playsets and vehicles. But, Hasbro doesn't make playsets and vehicles and clone troopers for 3.75 inches because their too focused on black series, so now my only TVC figure is a hoth rebel trooper,. I know mainly care about spinmaster batman because 1. I can afford it, 2. Theirs playsets and vehicles. Keep up the good work fighting for 3.75 inches.

If it is a dying scale it isn't for lack of collectors. The only people that would be killing it is Hasbro itself.

Dude fuuuuck 6 inch figures. I feel like they are too close to Barbie size so I just feel more lame collecting those. I've always been a huge fan of 3.75 inch figures. Started with Star Wars, then G.I. Joe's to everything else after that. I severely miss the Marvel universe 4 inch line. Those were amazing until the end even they got lazy and started rehashing old characters with lame new packaging. They could've brought the popularity back but they gave up instead. The MCU had so much potential to produce some amazing figures and figure packs. They could've made the whole Guardians team, Thanos and his children, army builder packs, vehicles,( I would've even bought Antmans van ffs!) Beautiful sets.and so on. The assholes at Hasbro just want money. $25 for a 6n inch?! What the honest fuck!

No because joytoy, and acid rain, and eagle force, hiya toys, boss fight, Fortnite, halo, the cheep brands at big lots and dollar general. And ect. We will be around you just have to go find them. Because remember retail wants a $10 and under figures. And somebody will have to fill the niche. They are low priced figures in that scale and higher ones as well. And the scale was been around late 70s to 80s so I don’t believe it really go away same as 12 inch military might be hard to found. But easier to find in a different country. By the military 12 inch figures are big in Hong Kong but not so big over here. But you got a remember to not many companies will make a vehicle in a 6 inch scale. Where a lot of them will make it for a 4 inch figures.

I stopped buying 3.75 inch figures when hasbro introduced the 6 inch black series figures, and started doing 5 poa action figures instead of the articulated figures. Now I'm finding it difficult to go back to TVC from 6 inch Black Series. Especially now that I have a full wall and table full of 6 inch black series figures. However I did order the TVC Clone Wars S7 Maul, hopefully I'll be interested in the TVC series again after I get to see the quality they were allowed to put into Maul. But yeah, 5 poa wasn't for me and it pushed me to collecting the 6 inch Black Series figures.

You have to remember the retro line of Star Wars and the super 7 reaction stuff is big. And the O-ring figures from what I’ve seen are going to be Internet only. And the G.I. Joe line that’s at Walmart it’s going to be on hiatus. But that marvel 3.75 scale is good for what it is. Hasbro might put everything to the mission fleet scale because they’ve been pushing that right now. And I know those have been sitting on the shelf for months but the three three-quarter Star Wars in Fortnite moves really well in my area besides the 6 inch stuff. But with the new inflation I think people might be more hesitant to put 23 into a figure unless there’s a certain character because in my area I have piles of the marvel legend Eternals figures sitting on a shelf. Same as some of the WWE figures.

I feel when I was little I liked 3.75 figs better and like legos for diorama/ play sets. But as I grew older I got tired of like little figs and Lego minifigs and wanted actual good figs that aren’t just a part of the set. Like I started with black series and marvel legends got into SHF figs and then more recently it’s strictly Jojo figs and the other stuff is mix and match mostly legends and black series since they’re cheaper but I still get some imports of other stuff then Jojo. Like I like painting some of my figs like I painted Joseph and I love how he looks. Like there aren’t Jojo play sets in smaller scales like what would there even be as a play set? Like Joseph and Wamuu in the colosseum, jotaro vs Dio in the street. Like Jojo doesn’t lend it self very well to smaller scales

I disagree with a few things in this, all the figures u have above besides the batman one are super possible and can stand on there own, and i will agree in most cases they look better and have more play value and even on the collector end, more shelf space and better dioramas in alot of cases, they may not be the big thing on retail but u named a lot of companies that are going strong producing good Quality well articulated figures

Well, I love the vehicles from Joes & Star Wars, there for it's got to be 3.75". While I do still get BS & ML, I'm severely downsizing them. OT focus for BS & X-Men focus for ML. Meanwhile I'm looking to bolster the endless ranks of SW & Joe army builders, including vehicles. Sure gets pricey after awhile. I gave up on 3.75" Marvel, ML's are better & super heroes don't need vehicles. Will be using my small Marvel as fodder for kit bashes & customs for Joe & SW. Will have to try those other 3rd party 3.75" figures like Marauders, Joy Toy, Acid Rain etc. A bit pricier, well perhaps on par with after market Joes & SW at this point.
Yep, with hundreds of figures & scores of vehicles for each line, there's no way I'm abandoning 3.75" now. If Retro Joes go away, that saves me time & money from going a few different Wal-Marts every weekend. A shame, cause they looked pretty nice. Don't know about the quality, only opened one FANG, seemed fine. Although the pvc seemed very soft, the pilot's leg popped off easily from the thigh swivel while trying to situate him in the copter. I have zero interest in O-ring style. The Modern figures are far superior in every way. I picked up some of the small Halo figures too. They are great for the price! When are we going to get a Pelican & Scorpion tank already? Jeeze! Banshees too, maybe a Covenant drop ship?
