This is why I like Pan's videos. Anyone else would just meme it up and call it terrible without making any observations.
Pan looks deeper than anyone else does and gives them the same treatment that he would give any other show and is able to share interesting info that no one else would bother to learn.
No matter how bad a show is, he is willing to give it the full time of day because he respects that animation is a time consuming medium and can still an insane amount of effort.

I saw the ep where Lisa found that their city founder was a bad guy when I was in thr States before I went home and found CN PH show the early stuff for a while before taking it off their programming a year later (we finally had a FOX channel air the later seasons)

Beacuse the sense of humor and references are almost exactly like the Filipinos from those areas. As a Filipino from Daly City, the low budget trashiness actually resonated with me. Lol. Just straight up trashy, but at the same time strangely heart warming to have a cartoon aimed at us. Though I am curious about Filipinos' opinions outside of the Bay Area, and their thoughts on this show.
Jann Chavez As a Midwest Fil-AM, Nutshack is a total embarrassment to the Fil-Am community. I remember stumbling upon this on MYX TV and was horrified on how disgusting this show was.

A long time ago, a filipino teen went into DAILY CITY.
after getting beaten up by the locals, the teen called out for help.
PHIL, Dickman's nephew, heard the teen's call.
He brought the teen back to the apartment.
Over time, PHIL and the teen became like cousins.
The Dickman treated the filipino as their own.
DAILY CITY was full of hope.
Then... One day...
The teen became very ill.
The sick teen had only one request.
To see the grapes from their dealer.

There, he found a bed of lucious grapes.
He carried the teen onto it.
Suddenly, screams rang out.
The citizens saw PHIL holding the teen's body.
They thought that he had killed the teen.
The citizens attacked him with everything they had.
He was struck with blow after blow.
PHIL had the power to destroy them all.
But...
PHIL did not fight back.
Clutching the teen...
PHIL smiled, and walked away.
Wounded, PHIL stumbled home.
He entered the apartment and collapsed.
His blood spread across the floor.
The City fell into despair.
The Dickman had lost two nephews in one night.
The citizens had once again taken everything from us.
The Dickman decided it was time to end our suffering.
Every citizen who visits the city must die.
With enough grapes, we can shatter the boundaries forever.
It's not long now.

The Simpsons did indeed air on CN, but late at night (usually 10pm) because CN here in the Philippines does not have adult swim. This was in the past and no such adult programming airs here

After watching this I kind of respect the creators of the show. They had vision and ambition, but lacked the technical skill or taste to make a funny adult animated show. Take the artist he's obviously talented but despite that the show still sucked.
I respect something like the Nutshack a hell of a lot a more than the shiny slop coming out on Disney+. Better to aim high a fall flat on your face than making bland slop that doesn't really please anyone.

True story: I'm the one who uploaded everything to that The Nutshack Archive channel. In order to get the second season, I emailed Ramon and ended up getting a bootleg DVD-R of it. He also sent me a Dickman t-shirt and a Nutshack hat that I still have, someday I might wear them out in public just to gauge the reactions.
