A good attempt, but with several mis-leading and inaccurate information you gave in this video. I suggest you do a thorough research and obtain accurate information before doing videos such as this. All the best from a British born Nigerian. 🙂
As an African, I do understand the power of wealth and the doors it opens. however, we have to acknowledge the fact that these families are the reason Nigeria's now and the generation to come will be in poverty for a long time. how many of these rich families you mentioned made their money in oil. while countries like Norway with similar oil wealth managed the oil money by saving, putting a portion of it put back into society. The whole population is benefiting from the natural resources yet here we are celebrating the 10 percent, the cause of Nigerian poverty. (Nothing against you the "New Tourist" your research is amazing learned a lot! keep it up good job cant wait to see more of your uploads )
First and foremost, Nigeria as an entity is not poor but rather rich. The GDP of one of its states is another African country's budget. There is a difference from the country's wealth and its citizens wealth. The people mentioned have diversified wealth creation models not just based on oil. They are not the source of Nigeria's "poverty" as you state.
You need to read on the rockefeller, rotschild family wealth and see how the rockefeller family controls the oil in America and how rotschild runs the banks and foreign reserves in UK starting from William rotschild of the 1600s, we need to stop this badmouthing and thinking we need to take from rich people for wealth distribution
You are so correct. Richest families from the disadvantage of million others, oil well owners while the coastal inhabitants are suffering. I wish they can show me one single family that hasn't benefited from government largesse.
@@asanwa3126 firstly a country can't be considered an entity, and I won't go into the specifics educate yourself on that. however, I see where you are trying to drive ur argument. you cant measure a wealth of a country solely by its GDP, you should consider the GDP per capita in ur argument to drive a point. secondly, another aspect you didn't consider is the Gini coefficient of the country, the information will give you an idea of the distribution of income in a country, again won't elaborate go educate yourself. Now the citizen's wealth vs countries' wealth you are accurate to point it the difference, however, the point I was trying to when I said people are the reason that Nigerians and the generation to come will wallow in poverty is because of high levels of corruption and the excessive influence that big business and a wealthy elite have over government policy making. Multinational corporations receive tax breaks worth an estimated $2.9 billion per year, while small and medium-sized businesses and workers in the informal sector face multiple taxes.

Good video which would have been VERY good if you had reached out to a nigerian (they are everywhere😁) to teach you how to pronounce the names, since they are not English names! You can't just pronounce a foreign name at your convenience. I know for sure that a nigerian name means something when translated, so when you mispronounce the name, not only is it offensive, it also gets lost in translation!!🧐😳🤨
Very stupid comment. A foreigner could never pronounce the names 100% accurately even when taught. How many english names can you pronounce correctly? I don't understand how people just leave mumu mumu comment without thought.
Very informative! A few corrections; the CEO of the Eleganza group is Chief Razaq Okoya not Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas who heads CFAO as was rightly reported. In the line up of the Dantata family, the photograph of Chief Mike Adenuga was posted. Well done 👍
Interesting list and video. Some well deserved, others are stolen wealth. Anyways, at the 23:51 mark has a picture of Mike adenuga is placed as Aminu Dantata's. Definitely an error.

Why did you not mention that the families you mentioned here made their money by stealing Nigerian money and rendering the country useless, causing massive hunger? None of the families mentioned completed any government contract they appointed to themselves.
People like saraki family make their money looting kwara state
Na wa oooo. You might right. Hence we found ourselves in this mess
Let's not lie to ourselves the Abacha family has to be here
Real talk. And Babangida
I expect the Balogun and Koroye family to be on this hopefully in less than 10 years.
@@drewbranch7700 amen my family from me and yours we will make it
When general wealth of a country is gotten by few individuals based on politics.
Very True
This list is not complete without my family!
AMEN 🙏🙏🙏
Amen
I will add my my family one day ❣️
Amen
This is a great channel is there anyway I can get in touch with the owner.
There is no Aurthur Family, What we have is the "EZE" Royal Family of Ukpo Town, Dunukofia Kingdom. Prince Arthur Eze happens to be the known and richest of them.
Dantata family nkor mumu dangote is from that family so their family is the known then you can call Authur Eze or any other person
Awolope family from Ondo State is missing from the list of 25 richest families in Nigeria. So, it has to be added to make the information true and authentic.
Thanks!
Great research my dear, keep it up 👍, meanwhile this your Igbinedion pronounciation no be here o🙄
They forgot to called my family name. It’s not yet complete
😂😂😂
Just asking, in a country without a database, how do you even determine how much money each family you mentioned have?
Good video which would have been VERY good if you had reached out to a nigerian (they are everywhere😁) to teach you how to pronounce the names, since they are not English names! You can't just pronounce a foreign name at your convenience. I know for sure that a nigerian name means something when translated, so when you mispronounce the name, not only is it offensive, it also gets lost in translation!!🧐😳🤨
the voice over wasn't done by a person. It's computer aided with artificial intelligence.
Lol
Very stupid comment. A foreigner could never pronounce the names 100% accurately even when taught. How many english names can you pronounce correctly? I don't understand how people just leave mumu mumu comment without thought.
U have nothing to say
Which richest? Our money wey turn to family friends treasure
Well done 👍
You are very correct, the Eleganza group is headed by Chief Razaq Okoya.
Yes ooo
🤣 you're funny
They are all rich, but most of their country people are poor!! That is Africa!!
Interesting list and video. Some well deserved, others are stolen wealth. Anyways, at the 23:51 mark has a picture of Mike adenuga is placed as Aminu Dantata's. Definitely an error.
Chicason group, and orange group seem to be missing, here.Same as innoson (IVM)
Bcos they're the real business men not corrupt business and politics
@@evelynejeka7182 Exactly😂
Kindly forward the list to Obi Cubana and E-Money. Inside life! Elon Musk will look at the list and their total net worths and be laughing. You are rich if you are healthy, own a house, car and can feed comfortably three times in a day.
Na waooo
We are talking of real money not noise makers Obi Cubana have money but not to the level of this ones
@ugoh daniel Your problem is comprehension. Go back to school
There are people in Nigeria not on the list that will buy and sell Elon Musk.
Congratulations to all of them I pray that by God grace my name will be there one again congratulations to them
Nice. But the narrator's pronunciation of Nigerian names is well bellow average
Igbinedion is pronounced as He-Gby- Neh-Deon (the Gby as in rugby)
Thanks so much for the correction
You are not an Edo person, Igbinedion is pronounced as spelled, there is no ‘h’ in that name.

Where is the H from sir? Please correct that so as not to mislead others.
The leading man in Awolope family from Ondo State is Adegoke Awolope. So, this need to be added.
Oneday and very soon my familly, the Hampo family will definitely join this league ijn
Most are beneficiaries of the corrupt oil dealings.
🫣
Sure. Only few benefiting from our God given natural resources. It's a pity.
Corrupt System. As they say . If you can’t beat them . You join them . Don’t complain. Find solution
@@silverokenw4507 A people bereft of morals.
Lots and. Lots of families with deep wealth still abound in Nigeria making d list inexhaustible,
From military retired generals to politicians across the length & breadth of the nation ,
I think you should do first 100 richest project before you begin to scratch the surface of the list,
Value of human life expectancy is a topic for another day given the socio economic challenge of the nation bcs of poor political leadership to harness resources for public good.
Cheers.

I'd be on this list someday.
Daboh is missing, update
Hey @TheNewTourist You might want to employ the services of a good Nigerian voice over artist (such as myself 🙂) for your documentaries...at least for the correct pronunciation of the names 🤭
Okoya Thomas is different from Rasaq okoya who is the founder of eliganzer group
Don't mind them, people always confuse it
Lol
Hmm 🤔 What positive things are they doing for the people or are they more concerned about the well-being of themselves?
Nigeria 🇳🇬 has all these billionaires and still children sleeps on the street? What a shame!!!
Billionaires are not hero nigerians need to educate themselves more it a president job to help his country and remove corruption and not simple citizen that are rich
