Such a wonderful reminder of God's goodness. We have 6 kids, ages 9 and down to 8 months. It feels like we are in over our heads at times but we are reminded by people such as yourself and your beautiful family that THIS is the good work He has set out for us. This is not a distraction, but the very work of God in our daily lives. Blessings to you all.
Thank you for sharing! I'm 28 yo and I'm pregnant with my fifth child! My husband and I decided to be open to life when we got married at age 20. God has been so good to us! We are homeschooling our children in a big city. I had never imagined I would do this! When I was a teenager I thought I would have a career and not a lot of kids. 😂
Oh wow, that's wonderful! Congrats on your little one. What a precious gift! I can relate...if you would have told me 20 years ago that we would have 10 kids, I would have never believed it, haha! When you follow the Lord's leading, you never know what adventures life may hold!
Wow...your words spoke to me...I'll officially start homeschooling my soon 5 years old boy (in August) and coop don't exist here and at the moment I don't know any christian family homeschooling in my area. God is providing what I don't have and one way through which he does that is through your channel, it's like mentoring to me, thank you for responding positively to God's call on your life and sharing these things with us. God has been good to my family. We tried having a baby for four years (in between my husband had to undergo a surgery to help us conceive) and after our first boy I had 5 miscarriages. It was difficult but God gave us all we needed to go through it each time. By His grace we have another son now who'll soon turn 14 months. His pregnancy wasn't easy (I had to undergo surgery while 26 weeks pregnant, I had renal colic due to a kidney stone and I finally had to go through an emergency c-section at 36 weeks). Our baby is all well and healthy, God is always faithful. My love to everyone from Switzerland.
I'm so glad! I love hearing feedback like this from other moms. Thanks for sharing. I wholeheartedly relate to having to completely rely on the Lord to provide. Keep trusting Him. He is faithful!
Thank you for sharing❤ I am teary because I feel like life has thrown us some major curve balls that prevented us from having more children. I am now 48 and menopause is starting. I am sad I don't have more. My sweet daughter assures me I will be a wonderful grandmother and tells me to look forward.....not back.
We have homeschooled through one child needing open heart surgery four times, my husband having a major stroke, job loss, and more. God is so faithful and good!
Your channel is such a blessing! My (very brief version) story of God’s faithfulness is that I always grew up wanting to be a wife and mother and then was infertile due to endometriosis. God grew our family through adoption, but the challenges of parenting four children with that history has been the absolute hardest thing I have ever done in my life. There are so many needs- physical, emotional, spiritual. It is far above what I can handle on my own but God has been faithful and I know He will continue to give us what we need each and every day to finish the work He has started here. It is not easy and many days I have questioned why God would give us so many children with so many special needs, but through the past 15 yrs of parenting, I have learned to live by the daily manna God always provides. ❤
Thank you! Wow, what a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing that! I get encouraged as well watching other moms walk by faith in the various ways he has for each of us. He is faithful!
I thank God for your channel. I'm a homeschooling mom of 2 toddlers and a newborn. Also an entrepreneur building a family business with my husband. You're right, homeschooling is a growing movement that many don't understand. Your videos encourage me on this journey, and have been a form of discipleship in mothering and stewarding a household. Thank you. ❤
I really love the title of your video, because it really felt like that when I started, and even now it sort of does. We started homeschooling our 4 year old last year due to health reasons. She started at regular preschool when she was 3, but after a 2 week hospitalization and getting sick over and over, we decided to homeschool. I struggle with depression so I doubted if I would be able to do it. I can say I have really seen God in the process and have seen another side of me come about. It’s been beautiful to develop this connection with her and to see her respond and learn. We do live in an area where there are no co-ops, so that is something I am praying about because she is pretty social and I do feel like she misses connecting to other children. Thank you for sharing your story, it encourages me!
I am so glad to hear this encouraged you and thank you for sharing your story as well. How wonderful for you to connect more with your daughter. I love how much more time homeschooling gives us with our kids! The Lord will provide for you...keep bringing your requests to Him!
Your family is so beautiful ❤ god is so good and thankyou for sharing your life and story! It touched my heart so much with starting homeschool for my oldest starting kindergarten. Thankyou so much! So inspirational! 😊
Oh my goodness yes!! Being trained as a ps teacher is NOT an advantage!! It has taken me years to undo some of that training, and to let go of some of those false assumptions about education!!
Your videos are always so life-giving and challenging too! We have six children, and I am 40. I feel like our quiver is pretty full, and would be content with the blessings we have. But I also don’t want to do anything permanent in case God does want us to have another… I’m willing to raise whoever God wants us to have. We’ve been looking into Natural Family Planning and potentially investing in a quality thermometer and tracking device. Do you do NFP? Or have you left it *completely* open to whatever happens? I won’t be offended at all if you don’t want to answer as I know this is a personal question. I wonder if NFP is God’s way of allowing us to space or prevent pregnancy but of course, there is still very much room for Him to bring about His ultimate will :)
Thank you! I'm so glad! I don’t mind answering your question. (Great question, btw, I think a lot of people wonder that.) No, we don’t do NFP. We have completely put it in the Lord’s hands. We’re not under any hardship and I’m in good health, so trying to count days and do all that tracking seems like a lot of work. It’s actually felt freeing to just live and not really think about it. I know it can happen, but we have busy lives and I’m mostly focused on the work that’s right in front of me. Each of our kids have been a tremendous blessing so we welcome new life when I find out I'm expecting, but otherwise we live everyday just raising the kids we have. One thing we have seen, however, that I think a lot of people don’t get to see is that there have been times when it was the “expected” time for me to get pregnant and I didn’t. One time that this happened specifically was during a difficult season of loss in our family. I learned that it really is God who opens the womb. His withholding during that time was a mercy that showed his hand in a way we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
Thank you for sharing your story. What advice can you give to me if you can't find a group of homeschool friends to have a community and your spouse is against homeschooling because he believes that our children will not be prepared for the world. Our finances make it hard for us to have our children in outside activities and not have a second vehicle and my husband want them to go to school so I can work.

Thank you! Yes! We had 6 kids ages 9 and under at one point as well, so I can relate. :) Thanks for sharing those encouraging words!
