    Dean deserves so much credit for his backing vocals in this one. Pete is able to hit the high harmonies while Dean takes the lead vocal lines in the chorus.

    This song (amongst most of their songs) is straight aural ecstasy. Between the harmonious vocals, lyrical angst, melodic guitar riffs... perfectly complement one another. It's hauntingly beautiful and so intoxicating it elevates my soul. Not a day goes by without some Chevelle blowing out my speakers. Definitely going to the grave as one of my all time fav bands. True there are a few hiccups in this performance in terms of the vocals (what live performance doesn't have em?), but when those harmonies are on, they're DEAD on and sound phenomenal. And it's understandable that Pete's voice gets tired. When you're screaming like he does for almost 2 hours, you're bound to get pretty fucking tired. Speaking from experience, as a musician and live performer, it's really hard to do.

  • @DC7ify
    @DC7ify 8 років тому +6

    Great performance! For you guys saying it sucks, its not going to sound exactly like the track they probably recorded over and over again. You got to also understand that these guys are doing a ton of other songs as well. They are probably a bit exhausted from performing over and over during their tours. Nobody is going to sound perfect when performing. Unless your Steve Vai lol

    Such a powerful, sad, and (hey im trying to tell/teach you something) eye opener for people to show just how bad this problem is in our world.
    To try and expose the hidden is a dangerous game. Many have paid with their lives. Most don't even know about any of this as the "tv programs" don't acknowledge it, as no one tells on themselves or their handlers.
    Hopefully the real truth does come out some day where it's not just 1 or a small number fighting against tremendous odds.
    Mad respect for all those that have knowingly put (lots given) their lives on the line and refused to stop at nothing but to expose these many hidden truths.

    Well vibrato is a way of singing that most singers excercise at some point. I've never heard Pete sing with a vibrato voice though, I think it's quite a hard to thing to do. I don't see what peoples obsessions is with peoples voices at live concerts though. Sometimes the charm with music is that it sounds raw and real and in the end its about being entertained, not sounding exactly like you do on CD, with voice editing just about ANYONE have a great voice after a few clicks on a PC.

    Anyone would agree with on that if there was a dedicated guitarist, the vocals and the guitar would be more precise.But that's part of the reason I respect chevelle so much; they do what they do with 3 members..and they do it pretty damn well IMO.
    You speak of critiquing sports teams but you comment would be like saying "The LA Lakers would be better if they had 6 players on the court instead of 5."

    do u know how hard it is to play live? People screaming and singing along out of tune,the instruments are loud, lighting is weird and your out of breath from the performance. Don't expec perfection, they're only humans lol

    well obviously none of you people saying that Pete can't sing live are blind.
    The fact that he has no shirt on is more or less an indicator that this was towards the end of the show, therefore after rocking the fuck out of the place he'd be bloody tired.

Furthermore, how do you draw any correlation whatsoever between Linkin Park and Jonas Brothers? That made no sense. Maybe I'm missing something since you posted your comment two years ago.
