@Crime Story Chronicles You are missing the point. WWE is trying to be hyper realistic; like a sports simulator. AEW on the other hand is making a fun, cartoony game. Also, why does everything have to be a comparison? Just do not play :)

Stance is the correct word. And honestly, for wrestling games, it's fresh as heck. Low key makes it feel like a traditional fighting game.
That seems in part what they were aiming for, competitive aki style fighting game meets wacky wrestling party game.

Just based off what I seen online this game still needs: Swerve, Rush, Claudio, Jamie Hayter, Toni Storm. Maybe Soraya Top Flight, Bandido, Aussie Open. Hoping they include some ROH arenas and title belts.
Will DDP Diamond Dallas Page & Tazz make it in the game for Legends unlockables ?

1- Matt Jacksons exploding superkick
2- Tony Schivone unable to say Sting normally at any point
3- All announcers as playable characters
4- Captain Insano attire for Paul
5- Sue and her van as an entrance option
6- Blood and Guts match
7- Ambulance match with a Shaq easter egg
8- ROH and NJPW DLC
9-Owen Hart playable character unlocked by winning Owen tournament
10- Mark Sterling and Stokely as characters

Also since you seem to be pretty damn stupid, I'd like to let you know that the same developers of those games will be making the AEW game. So no, we in fact, do not need to play a shitty copy and paste WWE game that hasn't had much difference in gameplay since 2014.

I watched Pulse's video last night looks like it will be a fun game. Compared to 2k23, it isn't the best graphics but YMMV. As a more of a retro Gamer, it's fine by me so long as they don't glitch too much 😂😂😂
If the graphics being worse than 2k is really the worst thing about this game than I think it will be good regardless of how it looks.
We really don't need every game to be some hyper-realistic looking simulation. It's cool to see at first but the novelty of that doesn't last and if the game doesn't have more to offer than the graphics, no one will want to play it.
Can u use the dpad for walking/movement and analog for taunts?

@@DWMCrasher98 I could be wrong on this because I'm going from memory but with the 2K games, when you do career mode, they make you create someone new even if you had created wrestlers already.
So while you could use created wrestlers in exhibition, you couldn't use the one you made in career mode unless you copied everything.
I mean of course it looks fun it seems to be using the Day of Reckoning/Wrestle Kingdom engine. Heck a bunch of the move animations are directly from those games (which if you already have them then it makes sense to use them). And DoR & WK were great games, especially the sequels.

You can still unlock Matt using in-game currency. You don't have to spend real world cash if you don't want to, it just speeds up the process of getting access to some of the hidden wrestlers.

I see this game being a "forgotton classic" it'll never 100% get all peoples respect it deserves until it's dropped & picked up years later
Sting, while not appearing in No Mercy, did appear in the WCW equivalent Revenge.
Fun Fact: With the release of this game, Sting will be the only wrestler (with the possible exception of Jeff Jarrett) to appear in a WCW, TNA, WWE & AEW game.

So the thing with Cody still being in the game is that the licensing for likenesses and is done practically before any actual development starts and Cody was likely paid to be in the game years ago

@@michaelvallelonga3171 well you're wrong there and you look silly making such a claim them we've heard from the people involved in designing it(Kenny Omega) and a guy that's actually played it more than anyone(Evil Uno) and they've both flat out said that it's a mashup/mix of both.

I think I'll hold off on it for now. Roster seems kinda... odd. Missing current champions is a strange decision. Of the Trios you've only got Malakai Black so no Brody King, Buddy Matthews or Julia Hart. The Women's is missing Toni Storm (all the Outcasts for that matter) and Jamie Hayter who have held it between them the past year pretty much. FTR are an upcoming DLC but basically a year's worth of tag champs are missing as there's no Acclaimed/Daddy Ass or the Gunns and Keith is due at some point but Swerve apparently isn't. And half the BCC are missing and only 2 members of the JAS are in it.
How is there no Stadium Stampede match?
I'm kind of surprised we don't have a trios mode, considering how hard they pushed to get those belts out on TV...

I like the concept, but 50 playable wrestlers on disk and having to upgrade caws kills it for me, I'd wait and get the complete edition eventually but only if there's a way to get Matt hardy. Cus they say pre ordering is the only way to get him.

The DLC is to entice niche fans to buy it. That's why you have FTR and Hookhausen in there seeing as they'll know people would pay for them.

I'm intrigued for this one. With the 2K games being basically the only big wrestling games for so long, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I will hold off buying until it's been out for at least a couple of weeks, but early signs do look good
I can't wait, a whole other wrestling game with their own women's division in the game. Already have a whole bunch storyline and feuds I plan do. I'm gonna play it side by side with my Universe mode in 2K23 so I could do several Loser Leaves Town matches, create Merecdes Varnado and Pamela Martinez in Fight Forever and have them invade the AEW Women's Division. Really great time to be a gamer/wrestling fan.

I understand that the graphical style is a choice - but I can't get over how janky the animations are too. The moves look so weird, and don't make contact. Also, none of the videos I saw had commentary? I'm not sure if I could shell out full price for what they have provided there, the same reason I didn't buy WWE 2k20. I'll wait until the price drops significantly. I'm sure enough people will for this game to be a sucess though, and that's a good thing for the industry.
I will say this; the price will drop significantly in the near future because that's just the video industry. Give it a few months and it will be $20 or $30 less.

I know everyone's excited for this game, but it's wrong that readily available wrestlers and mini-game modes are locked behind the Elite edition paywall. Game modes and wrestlers like FTR and Hook should be available to everyone. It's not like the WWE 2K games where future DLC wrestlers arent ready yet and are either legends or have only recently joined WWE.
They're (video game companies) doing what your wwe games have berm doing all along, squeezing every penny possible out of the fans
@@SexyUndisputed2All don't buy the WWE games, but 2K23, for example, isn't as bad as this AEW. The WWE season pass contains new legends and people who aren't ready for release day like Bray Wyatt. AEW is people ready day one who have been with company for years like FTR and Hook. WWE 2K also doesn't restrict game modes unlike AEW is doing with the exclusive mini-games in a title that already lacks lots of content.
