The takeaway from this is on day one, all of the krakens will have a fully ascended, fully booked mythical while F2P will need somewhere between 5 and 500 years to obtain one, and then another 10,000 years to get it fully booked.
A more accurate statement has never been uttered in human history.
Indeed kraken will open like 1 or 2 or 3000k mystical shard while f2p just got 1 "free" red shard and booom pull blue RARE champion lol🤯🤯🤯🤣💩

They definitely should not have included rares in the pool. Too risky of a summon, for big spenders, low spenders and ftp, in my opinion. As usual Raid did not disappoint with the visuals, though. These champs look amazing!
At least epic champions or higher. rares on the other hand is just asking to be irritated. Unless these shards are a breeze to get I can understand rares but I agree with you.

I pulled 3 dupes of my starter from mystery shards, It costs 50k to use a primal shard so its at least 40% chance of a ridiculous cost for a rare book or 3* chicken
The sad part is that eventually pulling epics becomes as useless as pulling rares because you have them all (except maybe a couple recently added ones).

Imagine this, you complete so many events or tournaments with over the top point requirements to get one primal shards, and you get trash.
Id probably rage quit. I already hate that mess with Sacred shards.

@@samuellee1515 Next level champion needs a next level shard. I don't mind that the shards are harder to get but putting rares and epics in the pool with leggos and mythics seems like a downgrade or knowing how Plarium operates kraken bait.

.2% for legendary and
.1% chance for mythical.

@@hirozhen7475Agreed. Less randomness is always better for low spenders. A hard to get shard with higher probabilities of pulling a mythical is better than a relatively easy to get shard with rares in the mix and thus low probability of pulling a mythical. The latter is better for the big spenders.

They have pushed the Primal Quartz to part of hydra clash it seems from the patch notes on the forum "which will be obtainable in the Hydra Clash Chests as well as some other Events" but for me overall what seems to kill this for me was the chance to get rares from these shards, only way I think it would be possibly fine is if it was similar to sacred shards just with Legendary & Mythical champions cause at least then you know the grind to get one of these shards would still be kind of worth it as you are getting a Legendary but as of now it just seems like a waste of time
thanks for the info. that will exclude a LOT of players. in my clan I was the only one to get the (2nd 140m+) hydra clash chest the last time when we won. the other clan members did not even make it to the first chest, being a few mio off... that will not motivate them
I am guessing their will be like a 5 % chance for a legendary and a 30 % chance for a epic
It should be like the rings in cvc you get it for guild placement not personal placement like the chests. Since there are rares in the mix they should be fairly easy to obtain like ancients. Hopefully a primary reward from the void clan boss.

Imagine plarium trying as hard as they can to force us to do a really badly designed content (hydra) so we can get 1 shard in weeks/months of farming for a >1% chance to get a mythical and in most cases, getting a rare... after weeks/months of farm LUL
One of the biggest problems that Raid has always had is scaling resources to content. When the game first came out, and there was like a couple of hundred champs, sure, make summon chances, and books, low because it'll keep you playing, and just give you something to do. However, there's over 600+ champions now, and the chances for everything still remain the same. You need to scale resources to the relevant content. Even if we could farm books, or increased the amount of shards we can get, THERE"S SO MANY champs now, it's not like we're gonna get everything by the end of the week. I'm sure with only a handful of mythicals at the start, it'll be hard to summon, and hard to get books, which is FINE. If I can get all mythicals, and max them up in two weeks, that's boring, "great new 100 hrs worth of content" My problem with this, and everything else, is they'll keep the same rates for everything, even if there's 100 mythical champs. It's a fundamental concept that Raid has to fix

I expanded my collection storage to the point it costs 3 million silver for another 10 slots, forced me to look at the ridiculous number of rare dupes I needed to feed or book just to do the daily 3 summons, with so many it makes no sense I get so many of the same ones I never bother to look at and develop
With these also popping out rare and epic champs they must have these shards or pieces be relatively easy to get but with low chances, a bit like an ancient shard. If these are super hard to get, on anything close to sacred level or harder then each one you pull a rare out of will be such a feel bad. The smaller pieces could be a good addition to hydra chests though, might make it worth doing for more people because right now I have Mithrala and I don’t do arena so I don’t do Hydra. But I am not optimistic that this will be implemented in anything but the most “give us all your money” way possible.
50k silver for a 3* star chicken, I don't care if they make it easy to get them there are too many way to burn all your silver in a few minutes and gain nothing
@@jasonmullinder True there is that aspect of it as well which I didn’t consider. We will have to see how it’s all handled with the rates and what not, but it will be really hard to make this anything but awful value when compared to the other shards, putting rares in the pool really does make it a hard sell no matter how its looked at.
I've already looked at their ads for shard packs and the pack deals look better than an individual shard, but the mythical chances of getting such a champ make the prices still mythically ridiculous.

They could do it as how they do the champion fragments when you play for 270+ days, and have it in 2 blocks each month, both being 25, meaning in two months you would at least be able to get a Primal shard. They could also add a new dungeon or cb to obtain them, like they do with iron twins. you have limited keys per day, and lets say from stage 10, you have the chance to obtain 3-5 quarts per run, with 3 keys a day. That would be so much better than "summon 20 sacreds, and youll get 25 quarts from events" lol

Let me guess.... Hard Mode Faction Crypts, with the mythical champ at the end of the reward path. Whatever new feature this will be, I'm guessing it's going to be something that a ftp account would take literal years to complete.

Quintus and ramantu are not even top tier champs and are insanely hard to get. Imagine a mythical champ ahaha
the metamorph thing reminds me of the druid class from WoW which could be dps, healer or tank, they could shift from one to the other as they pleased.
I got into raid for 2 reasons....I love collecting and building champions and second I like games I can let farm by themselves while I work or play. This is what raid is supposed to be.
Why am I 3 years and still behind, still unable to complete my great hall, still unable to fully book legendaries, still unable to farm top resources.
Raid has the right ideas, they just focus too much on money (in a millions dollar revenue generating game) and they do it wrong. MORE people will spend if its cheaper packs, if it helps us to farm resources we actually need. They focus on Krakens and say F everyone else. If I had completed the game by now, I'd have fun messing with builds and collecting new champions like this....but I am nowhere near that. And this endless grind to stay caught up with no time to do so or avenue to get crucial resources (legendary books & shards) and no way to focus on trying to get champions we need without horrible RNG, they are actually making it harder for people to spend. Why spend 100 bucks on a pack to maybe get a legendary I already have? Makes no sense.
Unfortunately Raid does not care if they lose a lot of the casual player base. They know the top krakens are competitive by nature and want to be the best so as long as they spend their way to remain tip then they still get the income they need
Yea but, there's a catch. Krakens need us so they can feel important.
This actually affect more whales and krakens I would say. They will feel obliged to get Mythicals to keep their dominant positions. And books will be probably hell expensive.
The casual base lets you say Im on the top of a game with thousands/millions of players but with out f2p and low spenders you are just the top of people who spend a lot of money your not really on top of much.
@BryceR3D I'm talking about Raid though, as long as the krakens keep spending to assert their dominance then Raid Re happy. If bunch of f2p, low spenders leave, will not bother Raids coffers but if a few of the kraken leave that will hit them. Still a gamble on raids account
I agree, 1 kraken probably spends more than most of the low spenders on their own. That is why the cater to them.
Raid is a business, they only care about making money if you don't spend it you're not a customer you're just brousing
looks cool and thats about it, I doubt they will implement it in any ways that is fun and accessible for Lowspend/F2P. theyve added alot of cool looking void legos that I still dont have so whats the point in having awesome looking champions if I can't collect any of them because they are near unobtainable for anyone but whales
With Rares in the mix, the odds of pulling a Mythical champ will be incredibly small. Even if you can acquire Primal fragments from tournaments and events, the points required to win them will be incredibly high ... Not to mention all the resources you'd have to spend.

The website news shows that hydra clash rewards the quartz stuff that you need 100 of so end game only players that can do the minimum 35m required to get a chest and are in clans that can finish top 3 can get them. Mythical books might be the same.
I also imagine that the way to get one free will be a long training event where the top person or top 3 in your group gets a full shard and more than likely after spending loads of resources ends up pulling a rare. Hopefully everyone has a chance to get a shard and then pray to rngesus
Love it. Came to terms years ago I wasn't going to compete with the krakens. Just enjoy the game at the level I am.
Here is what I think is gonna happen: New type of event to farm Myth quartz to partially/completely replace Champ shard for specific champ or fusion. So after spending trillions to get a primal shard, u open it and, tada, a rare champ :)
will we get the option for two builds ? Like… we have two builds and just click on them to build and then that’s attached to the forms ? We don’t need the same masteries for both .
Probably gonna be similar to ancient shard rates, except a .001% chance at a mythical or something absurd lol. Gonna be so fun pulling rares. Knowing how they go about other resource farming, like Iron Twins and getting books from Clan boss, it's probably going to take forever to farm up the quartz and even longer to get books. Will be fun watching the krakens fight in arena, I guess. Cool concept that Plarium will surely screw up.

I would have FAR preferred if the shard fragments were something you get from a new clan boss (kinda like Mithrala form hydra) but you can select the specific one you want to work towards. Have it take like half a year to get one, and sure have shop packs for the whales, but you know how long it's going to take and you know exactly what you're going to get in the end. That would be my preference. It would stink to get maybe 5 shards a year and pull all rares or epics... Also, you know there's going to be Void Primal shards with completely separate ways of obtaining...
That free mythical champ is probably going to be exactly like mithrala actually from a new boss. I would be HIGHLY surprised if you actually got the one you want in less that a month of grinding something. If it's a selectable champ from a mini event you could knock out without having to spend money for energy or shards I would eat a shoe...

its very normal to do that. So you cant spend a lot to get nice champs, and then just be set for all content down the line. New champs will slowly become stronger, so if you want to stay relevant you got to spend.
Now act on those thoughts because you are definitely correct. Raid from Plarium is scandalous. They have no bottom when it comes to indecent tactics. I left 4 years of my life in that hole as a clan leader who built a clan for tgis shitty compaby to gain from, but I'm out and been out over 2 years now. I told all clan members "get your freedom" I think I deserve a medal. Naa the freedom is awesome. That damn grind pit is for people punishing themselves. I did that enough.

At this point uncommon and common champions should be removed or evolved into rares. Do away with mystery shards and make ancient shards the lowest shard. Since they're reducing every shard's value with this, without reducing the price, something has to be done to balance it back for players.
I don't agree. Jut ouright removing the Common and Uncommon tiers will hurt new players a lot. If you were to elevate them to rare, then the ancient shards should become even easier to obtain.
I have another idea: give common and uncommon champions like 20 to 25 books acros their skills that allow for them to be upgraded into a more powerful state. Since mystery shards are easily obtained you can use those dupes the upgrade their skills, and also make Common champions eligable to ascend (because why not).
It will help the newer players and stretch the usefulness of those type of champions, and for the later players they will just consume them like XP-sinks anyhow.
It will probably be a top reward for coming in first for a world-wide tournament. They could be devious and make it one fragment as a prize and hold the tournaments weekly.
What are the odds for pulling each type from the red shard? How hard will the events/dungeons be that come with this feature? How do you build/gear a champion for 2 different roles? Can you even make them reasonably good at both roles without kraken gear and full books? Is it really only for Krakens and the super lucky? As of yet we know almost nothing useful about this feature.
I am very, very interested in the summon rates of those shards.
Just the fact that you can pull rares out of them spells doom for me.

To be honest I am much more interested in the acquisition difficulty and locations for the quartz.
I've read hydra clash chests to be one, and events another.
Hydra clash is basically locking out a very large portion of players by default.
Events sounds like fusion style point-sinks, ie. blast through all your resource to 'complete' an event to get maybe 5 or 10 quartz...
both versions would be horrifying.
I feel like this is gonna be Searsha chase for f2p players. 5 years to achieve if you are not spending any.

Did they clarify how does Metamorph work in Auto? Would the champ auto change to their other type if skill becomes available? And we can disable them from using it?
Polarium, you may want to try to meet these demands or alot of people might wind up giving raid up. Worst comes to worst you can add more champs to the roster and do more artifact hulls like arbiter. We want good fighters. Not just a hard time, but a fun time aswell.
Rare and epic champions from mythical shards? Unless they’re fairly easy to get…people are going to rage quit, especially when event points are taken into account.

Events and Tournaments. Of course the most boring thing in Raid. Get 9000 Points in Fire Knight in 3 days and you get 5 Fragments

So they added Rares through Mythical in the same shard and I'm betting there's no mercy. So you will have to win events and tournaments for these (aka be a kraken) then takes possible years (with a little bad luck) just to get 1.
i find it amusing that over a year ago there was a leak about a red shard and everyone were wondering if its a sacred version for voids... well now we know better...

with the way the shards work and the tomes I am going to treat this like I am a non spender. Never going to buy their shards or books as it stands now. Some of them do look cool and I certainly will be happy if I get one by luck.
This is completely off topic, but I think Raid’s next (and probably last) faction should be a cyber faction full of robot themed characters. Just imagine how great their animations would be.

I can’t even progress there because every week I can’t get into gold one on tag team. Already gave up on it.
with the chance of rare being a drawback the best bet raid has is allowing us to farm the quartz as we do anything else like through campaign or dungeons otherwise it is more risk than reward and wont be worth much to the f2p people
I’d love to see a marketplace added to the game where you can sell your unused champions or (outdated for your current player level progress aka Lvl 60 Kael), that players at lower levels have the opportunity to pick them up, as is. That or champion trading between clan members.
It would just buff self promo, since you max lv, account can just give a Lego to your lvl one. Possibly unlock it at lvl 50
After going through the trouble of farming a 100 of the fragments, to pull a rare is a slap in the face. The game is going down the drain faster and faster with everything they do.

One thing surrounding the whole "Mythical Cometh" that I do not quite hear about enough is "How will affect rewards/crumbs of pity" on tournaments/events, the fact is that will be introduced in there somehow and will be changing the potential return on our efforts, would be shocked not to see a "1 or 5" shard introduced on the Daily Loggin card at he expense of removing something (Already took the Sacred & Void, so, cant get too much worse really) but in the rewards for events, get ready to loose those useful Sacred Tomes that the free to play or cheap-to-play (Myself) so much rely on to grow some champs, thinning the already sadly escarse field of possible usable stuff on the game, getting rares involved in that pool and diluting it even more than a Sacred, oh wow, what a counter-odds fest the low players will be facing soon, Keep up the good work BTW, thanks for all the tips and tricks, all very much appreciated

Imo if we can farm the quartz from a dungeon it is okay that you can pull rares from them because you can just farm more . (Hopefully they will have better epic and leggo odds) but if you can’t farm them and only get them from tournaments I think pulling rares will be a bad thing. There are so many champs in this game that even cc like you don’t have all the leggo decpite putting big money into this game. If higher rarities become easier to get it will be so much better for f2p and the spenders too

Addition to ultra nightmare and maybe nightmare clan boss drop pool? They should have reduced chances of pulling rares though.
I have at least 10 legendaries on the main I would like to mess around with but can't because I don't have the books for it. So as cool as these may look I couldn't care less because we know the books will most likely be non-existent.
Maybe if they replace epic books with legendary ones in these tournaments/events. That's the only way I see this working right now.
There already is little incentitive to pull shards because we can't book new champs anyway.

Plarium was walking on eggshells with this one. They played it safe, and everything seems cool for now. Everyone will be eating out of their hands soon enough, and they'll be able to charge roughly $500 per mythical champ.
