I love how Beach House has always sounded like Beach House, but with each album, their sound morphs and evolves without ever losing the "feel" they've always illicited.
Adrian Adams exactly.. how they arrive at a musical discovery bares complexity of form and expression and magic all the while maintaining a signature or personality.. it’s like how us humans grow and age so slow the lines on our face just seem to come out of no where..

This album is going to be amazing.....I didn't think Beach House could top bloom but they did. I love the 90's indie rock sound layered with that britsh synchronized music. Dream music !
The optical illusions that happen at the black/white intersections make this video trippy on a whole other level.

Its the same visuals twice. Half way through they reverse the animation so the black looks white. So it ends the way it starts. Clever!

"7" has the makings of the album of the year.
How are they still reaching these new heights? I honestly thought they would never be able to follow Bloom. I thought "that's their tragic airplane crash record". Yet no planes fell. No one OD'd. And now every new track they sample from 7 is remarkable, and new, and so so unmistakably them. I'll just stop doubting and start expecting the impossible for 8, 9 and 10.
Carpe Imodiem dude I listened to depression cherry today and when i first listened i was like eh, bloom was better. But the more I listened the more it resonated, especially when you listen to the whole album start to finish. I originally felt that beyond love and blue bird were throw aways. None of their songs are throw aways, especially in relation to the feel of the album. They all have a purpose there.
I imagine this album will be the same. Perfectly pieced together in a beautifully calculated way to create a unique sound for each album.
I love Depression Cherry. Almost everything they do I absolutely love. But Bloom was a world beater. I took myself off YEARS of norco with Bloom. Bloom and some well timed Shakespeare. Saved. My. Life. Straight up.
I think 7 and I may take up painting. Or wildly unstable love. One thing is certain... it won't be chill.
