Great video - a very thorough investigation of all the potential issues/concerns, and the polling was really useful. Thank you!
thank you :)
Of course paperlike is better than a glass screen. The big question is whether 2.1 is better than 2, and whether Paperlike 2.1 is preferred over anyt dirt-cheap matte protector for a fraction of the price.
This comparison is like asking a starving dude whether he'd prefer to eat an old piece of bread over nothing. The outcome is pretty much rigged. Give it a challenge to prove how good it is! :D
I was reluctant to get a Paperlike screen protector because of the issue of reduction in screen clarity but I wanted to use my Apple pencil for writing and drawing. The experience of writing on the glass is terrible, just too slippery and after a while very tiring. So I took the plunge and bought the 2.1 version as l had viewed positive reviews of its improvement. I was, and am, very impressed by the ever so slight loss of clarity, at first I couldn’t tell. Having a matte screen does reduce glare significantly and that is a positive. Writing now with the Apple pencil is so much better. If you’re sitting on the fence like I was, don’t worry its worth it to be able to use the Apple pencil with ease.
thank you so much for taking the time to write this to give others a idea - I'm sure they will highly appreciate it! Glad the screen protector worked out for you!
Great video! I use my iPad for writing all the time, so I think it’s worth it!
Thank you, I'm glad it works great for you!
Great video!!
Thank you!
Great video! I was hoping for a specific bit of feedback: does 2.1 still cause a rainbow-like colored pixel effect in the screen when you look closely? Thanks so much!
apologies for the late response - I've looked as close as I could and it's not something that I've noticed!
I usually take a lightly damp paper towel and occasionally wipe the screen. It seems to renew the screen protector and remove marks from using it.
I've noticed the exact thing or sometimes using a lens cleaner solution with a microfiber cloth
Just bought one! Definitely worth it👌🏼

How does the new paper like compare to the old version?
I used paper like before and the paper like feel wear off very fast and the screen became very slippery. Is it the same case with the 2.1? At the beginning, they all feel good.
I used paperlike 2.0 for a good few years and didn't experience that. Maybe It got a bit less gritty but I gave it a wipe with some screen cleaning fluid and it was good. 2.1 so far has been good as well, haven't noticed anything
I am noticing a lot of people that seem to complain about the wear usually arn't artists or people that would generally have a varied pressure when using the apple pencil. I just find it weird that there are people that seem to do nothing but take notes with the apple pencil, kind of a big flex to me, and yet those tend to be the ones that say it wears down so fast... >>
Haha yh they seem to complain the most
Does it have alot of noise
Not really. It's obviously a lot louder because I put the microphone next to it. It's hard to describe the loudness I suppose but in a quiet setting you can definitely hear it. Wouldn't call it a lot of noise though by any means
@@DoctorDevify what i meant the screen... is it more grey, colorless than the original screen
Oh haha my bad - no it's not grey I would say it's a tad less contrasty and vivid
