Damn bro Howard is such a bro it hurts to watch knowing Saul is gonna be Saul
yes it's super sad, Saul doesn't want to remember anything related to Jimmy
I believe that you've nailed what's really bothering Jimmy about Howard: in his mind, it's a slap in the face that Howard has found some measure of peace and is moving forward.
While that is also true, I think there is another layer to it, and I believe Jimmy has the right to be pissed about it: Howard offering him a job at HHM is so clearly a part of Howard's therapy, I can literally hear the therapist go "make amends with someone you wronged" etc. I'd lowkey feel used tbh.
Honestly watching this show week to week was such a cool experience wish it had gotten more recognition at that time
its hard living in the shadow of breaking bad
@@AKmumuthankfully people has come to realize that it exists and many even says it’s better than breaking bad (i’m one of them). BCS has become it’s own show and stands well on it’s own without breaking bad
Just because it got screwed at some fancy award shows does not mean it did not get recognition
Waiting each week for new episodes of season 6 was painful but worth it!
@@kayden2119Breaking bad season 5 got like 10 mil views. BCS started season 1 with 6 mil and season 6 averaged 2.2 mil. Doesn’t make sense but that’s the reality. It declined in popularity throughout the series.
They are just showing the different ways each character is dealing with their stress. Gus, the perfectionist, becomes obsessive/compulsive. Howard is in therapy, trying to make amends like in a 12-step program, Mike is aggressively self-destructive, Jimmy runs scams, Kim tries to make things right.
The back half of this season is legendary. And Season 6 is just Peak TV. So excited to see your reactions.
Season 6 is just filler
@@The3nd187 I know bait when I see it. 🪝
“I feel bad for Howard, he didn’t deserve that shit” - The next two seasons in a nutshell
Saul taking the Money from their Grandma without hesitation is a very strong contrast to Jimmy giving Up over a Million to make Irene Landry get her friends back.
Saul is just Heartless.
The second half of s5 is peak
Unfortunately season 6 is horrible
@@The3nd187 bro what s6 is peak
The court scene is classic Goodman
9:38 The way the judge says that always gets a laugh out of me, she sounds like a disappointed teacher lol
Such an all-star cast, this one.
It's so good to know that a reactor feels bad for ethical (if somewhat annoying) people like Howard, among so many iconic bad guys and protagonists. I can also see Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul attracting me to scheming and criminal characters without losing my humanity and my sense of justice. Great episode.
Been waiting all day for this lol!
Poor Howard
Lyle is the last line of defense! 💪
As others have said, "Waiting all day for this!" When looking for this episode, I used up my "ItsAPrimate" meal on your "There's Something About Mary" reaction. 10pm EST is the latest start ever- but 7pm Primetime on the West Coast is cool for your West Coast sponsors and viewership. You are getting close to some of the best episodes in tv history. :)
Had a busy day, I usually try to upload early!
this show is PEAK
I assumed Gus didn't have any intention of keeping Lyle there, this was just a rare case of us seeing him expressing anxiety.
Damn 3 in the morning where I am haha never a bad time for a primate video!
W
I think Gus was just stressing about the DEA being right on his operation's ass, and knowing that he had to give up all the moneys to try and make it legit.
Maybe this is looking into it too much but I wonder if the gang that beats up Mike was there on Gus’ orders. Gus seemingly got Mike to Mexico without him ever knowing Gus was involved which meant it had to be quick. Which means that at the least, Gus had guys following Mike. Gus getting Mike secluded like that got him to rethink his trajectory which Gus makes use of in his conversation with him. If the attack was “staged”, this would get him to need assistance (from Gus) while making sure the attackers hurt him just the right amount to make the transfer to Mexico reasonable from Mike’s point of view
the start of the howard sympathy😓
great reaction as always mate 👊
Thanks!
we all hated howard at the start but now you really feel bad for him
That was a good catch "maybe it's just stuff to smash...", close enough!
Eyy there it is
I know it never would've worked, Jimmy being who he is would've been as bad a fit at HHM as he was at Davis and Main, but it's so sad thinking what could've been if he took Howard's offer and actually made it work. He and Howard would've been a force of nature if they managed to form a good working relationship.
I agree with you that Howard didn't deserve what Jimmy did. Howard definitely did Jimmy wrong in the past, but it takes character to own up to it and try to make amends as he was trying to do in this episode.
Damaging Howard’s car was bad, hope nothing else bad happens to Howard!
You gotta realize it from Jimmy's perspective: Howard consistently sided w/ Chuck and never tried to be neutral between them. Granted, Chuck started HHM with Howard's father, so Howard was just kinda like Chuck's nephew by profession, but Howard was the other 'H' in HHM. He could've batted for Jimmy, or as Howard liked to call him: "Charlie Hustle".
Jimmy is pissed at Howard for being so selfish and self-preserving. It wouldn't have hurt anything if he told Chuck that he wanted Jimmy working at HHM (if he in fact did). Chuck would've just had to deal with it, but Chuck had to be a child and have Howard tell Jimmy "the Partners" didn't want another partner, even though it was all Chuck - and Howard had to sit there and be the bad guy to Jimmy's face, FOR CHUCK. That makes Howard a man with no spine, no balls, nothing. Jimmy can't respect a person like that who would just bend over backwards for his better-than-thou brother looking down his nose at Jimmy, who clawed his way up from being a nobody street hustler in Cicero.
yay!!!
Idk it'd be more scummy morally to convict someone of a crime based on an eyewitness that clearly isn't as reliable as he claims to be.
There's definitely a heavy bias against a person being the one in the defendant's chair, and obviously it's typically an easy "ID" for a witness to make. Jimmy's switch definitely makes for an entertaining scene.
It's why eyewitnesses aren't exactly evidence
I'm sure losing all that $$$ made Gus feel some kind of way and he took it out on poor Lyle 🤑
Let’s goooo
If you feel bad for Howard, just wait
can you please react to the sopranos 🙏
Howard is well-intentioned but it's really offensive to Jimmy. It's like, "You're really just gonna hire me now, why took so long and allowed me to go through all this trouble."
His reaction is the same to Daenerys after she heard the Bells of King's Landing.
Yeah, Howard doesn't realize how condescending he's being. But he really should have realized how radioactive his and Jimmy's relationship is due to Chuck.
I can see that as a comparison
I also think Howard is offering him a job as part of his therapy, "make amends with someone you wronged" type stuff, and Jimmy sees through that and feels used.
