I’m officially sold. I’ve been eyeing this one up for a few months, and I didn’t even realize that it could be used as Bluetooth speaker, or that it has an aux in ! Thanks for putting together such a comprehensive review of this!
I am a ham guy. I love it! I have seen these before.. I did not know that you can monitor 2m bands in VHF on this. Way cool. Love the military aesthetics too. VA3BXL from Canada. 73 to you. Fascinating!
Thanks for the review , now if it had SSB I would have bought it. However, their one SSB model, doesn't have very good sound and on radio direct entry key-pad so I will stick with my Belka All-Mode model.
I think it's a bundle of fun. It's weight keeps it stable and makes the Woofer on the back more versatile (if you are into music). The retro dials and overall design make a Time Lord's' radio of choice. The strap is funny because you can not push it on, you have to drag it on, and then make sure there is no loop in the Mobius sense. (Broken nose in Loki for the kids). It encapsulates so much of th retro memories and yet is accessible from Smart Phone Technology ... here is the kicker .. if you can read a smart phone you can read the buttons here! To be honest, I don't use my phone except as a telephone 'cos I can't be arsed to wear my glasses all the time. The weight, nay, Gravitas of the device is due to two lumps of metal inside the casing, but so what? it gives the device credence to be a contender in the market. The local Airport comes in loud and clear and its FM reception is prodigious ... there is a local station 20 miles away that I have to hold my Tecsun 660 horizontal to hear, it receives here quite happily standing up on the desk. Antenna stuff I guess but this beasty manages to perform. This radio is like Meccano to a kid in past gone days, it can do so much. It well deserves respect and You have shown it well :-)
I am going to buy a radio like this except the one I see on fleabay is the HRD-A320 the same radio just a different name. I like that this has extended range and even a handy little torch on the side. my little hrd-701 sounds great for its size but this would sound better being bigger, but geez that little thing can go LOUD.
I just ordered one 2 days ago. The videos show the radio comes with a case. Amazons' description and the owner/user manuals do not mention a case, and posing the question on Amazon got the canned reply that no one mentions a case, and no case for this radio is offered, so nope...no case. Can you tell me why you and at least one other person got a case and others do not. Thanks Arb
Hey Gadget Talk, I just bought the Raddy RF320. I have a question: Can you record to the TF card from the App? I've tried to record to the TF card several times, but can't get it to work. All other buttons and functions on the App work. But the record button don't want to work. Thanks.
is the 18650 battery a flat style or button style? If I pull the trigger on ordering a radio, I would like a few extra batteries for it. Loved the info in the video.
@@GadgetTalk4U I think you missed my point. An 18650 battery, yes it is tall and round, but the end is either flat or it has a little button sticking up like a conventional AA battery. I was trying to figure out which style to buy.

I have one coming Monday from Amazon.
I have too many radios as it is, but this one is hard to resist.
I know what you mean. Cheers.
You make awesome videos. I live in New Zealand but still enjoy them :)

I would 100% buy this if it had SSB. 73 from the other side of the pond

I have no idea. Cost control, maybe.

Yes, i believe so. I saw Toddebert's review and he did it.

Neither. It's a tall round battery.

@beefitter I did miss your point. It is a flat top 18650. I tried a button top just to see and it wouldn't fit.
Lot of money for a sympatic gadget, whatever excellent job , a QRP transceiver will be more useful :) Hey.
