Since I start watch Ludi’s videos, getting better in EU4! Thank you Ludi :D
Isn’t he a bit to aggressive for you?
Happy to hear that!

Since I started watching his videos I stopped playing the game cause the videos are more fun!

When France accepts the "demand the lowlands" incident for me it returned all french cores to the french. I was reduces to like 5 provinces and then marie died. I like the strat but there is some rng sadly.
Yup, not denying it, the whole BI part is super RNG unfortunately
just crash the game
Oops, your game just crashed. Kinda weird, right?
Don't go into pu under France.. it's silly, stay free, stay allied to Austria, keep your here lands.. there is absolutely no need to become a junior partner
@@Kiros37100 agreed, why lose Bourgogne dynasty
Burgundy is a fun nation to play. Very interesting nation in EU4.
definately is!
Lets replace the french with the original.

GG ludi, now I can't unhear the dad joke. every time somebody says 'keep in check' I will be reminded of you
ahahahahah good xD
Burgundian run is very enjoyable and unique. I've had nice satisfaction playing them though I didn't agree on inheritance and luckilly it was an easy war. From the other hand I've formed Netherland and I was crushed by France when I was focused on colonial expansion :D
I literally just tried this. And got my ass handed to me. My king died early. France was able to win the war against engalnd before i could undue their gains. I some how got fort blocked by provence, and couldnt get back to my kingdom until i took their fort. They let me pass into the northern part tho idk how that works. And while i seiged down that fort. They were able to win the seiges in my capital, nevers and my lvl 2 fort next to my capital. And even tho i did the public wheel mission their vassals were helping them quite alot. Hiring the free company that early really screwed me too. I should have waited like a year or so. Ive done burgundy before. But this guide relys alot on getting the timing of everything right.
Better than the OTHER Burgundy…
Under the Black Sun...
Oops, wrong game.
It also works that you inherit non-french lands of your french vassals, maybe even non-french vassals if they move their capital to France region
Jesus fucking christ Ludi you are a beast
I love your unique and engaging content though, no one does this this well and entertaining on youtube
appreciate it God ^^
I watch these videos to get a feel of what the best methods are, and to understand how to work around the mission trees. But when i play i dont usually min max stuff, i play at my own pace.
Ludi: "It's a 100% chance we can diplo annex Dauphine."
Also Ludi after the inheritance: "Dauphine is a Junior Partner of France? WTH?"
The RNG Gods are not merciful even to Ludi LOL
Edit: Just watched a little more afterwards but still funny and true
He somehow got the “A Political Marriage” event. Which is among the rarest events there is.
Sacre Bleu Monsiuer Ludi. This is insane. Beeing France as Burgundy is like beeing Hagen as Siegfried. Unbelievable. How many Stackenweipen are possible? And how many Schnitzel eat all the brave Burgundians? This is too much. this screams for a strong Schnaps.
I'm more of a hoi4 player but this guy makes me wanna play eu4
good xD
@DAastronaut
Hoi4, eh? Have you played as the TNO Burgundy?
King Ludi, could you check this game logic?
I don't have Emperor, but I imagine it makes Burgundy a strong candidate for "Atwix Legacy" if you DON'T absorb your PUs. First, improve relations with electors. Become emperor, but DON'T add yourself to the empire. Use Authority or strategic wars to replace theocratic electors with minor monarchies like Brunswick or Wolgast. Lose the emperorship. Make the new emperor hate you. Turn in the "Secure the Succession" mission. If all goes well, the emperor will refuse your entrance to the empire, and you will get 7 restoration CBs. Even easier if Saxony keeps Thuringia, or Brandenburg gets and keeps Ansbach-Bayreuth. End result should be 10+ PUs (low countries + electors).
21:35 Regarding this statement, if Austrians declare on you while you are under the France PU. Don't let the Austrians win. They gave me independance like Ludi said, but also used 75% of the remaining warscore to release half of the lowlands (which you don't have cores on anymore). And you can't diplo vassalize them afterwards because they are part of the empire.
Would personally only recommend letting the austrians win if you have like a 14 year truce remaining with the French and desperately want to be free. Otherwise just wait the Truce out with the French and just declare war of independance and keep all your stuff.
In fact, u may not be able to take that 2 provinces in the first war, u can cause france take a certain number of provinces, in my run i wasnt, but i could take Forez, vivares and Rouergue instead
How to make Ludi video in 2022? "Did we just conquered half of the continent before 1500 while playing tall? 10 000 likes and we can turn this run into World Conquest!"
yes Kappa
There is not HRE without Burgundy. Well said and nice video ! Hahaha Marie de Bourgogne died at 74 years old in my game...What a Legendary ballsy ruler ! Cool nation to play with many options.
The scornful insult does work for the mission tho, tried it yesterday wouldn't miss on the extra pp
does it really? maybe they changed that, it used to not work in 1.31
Posted a few seconds ago, watched, and liked it a few seconds after.
i’m sorry to add but there’s one issue here, the french vassals attached to the main french army, so i get fuc- i mean fudged over all the time, any advice for this
They won't attach if they're disloyal make sure to take the mission just before going to war so most should be at 55% and try pick off smaller stacks before they group up
@@kyleelward3351 thx
I have a slightly different strategy but this video is also a good strategy.
I also rush France for the quick mission.
what strategy u use?
@@LudietHistoria
I think I did quite slowly.
I ask Castile because they have better morale. I wait castile to attack south and I use tech 4 advantage.
I didn't cancel the forts and didn't use champagne (just because I forgot that I just cede France province to Nevers. )
So once, the French armies siege down the forts. They came into the lowlands. I re-siege them soon because of the garrison. The French are stuck in lowlands.
When I declare France, I march Provence and stackwipe the weak armies early, so they peace out early.
The outcome is similar. Orlean is disloyal. large AI armies siege a fort.
@@LudietHistoria Simply speaking, Castile using only Nevers and tech 4.
I win the first battle in France, but I just take 6 French provinces to Nevers. Then I take Lorraine area later on, as I can keep asking Castile for help.
The tech 4 advantage and discipline/morale adviser really fix the dice roll problem.
But Ludi , we cant sell our crownland at 0.1% crownland anymore , cried when I found out
ohh you covered it in the video later on
yup
Caen is simply pronounced "kɑ̃". What you're saying sounds like Cayenne, main city in French Guyana.
Austria got the Burgundian Inheritance in 1452 lol then Maria fell off her horse in 1459 lmao. Thicc Austria super early
If your consort regent is named Mary(Marie) then the achievement will fire as well.
As a french, the way you pronounce french vassals is so funny to hear
bro hires free company in every guide
they are cheaper than maintaining same number of regular units at start of the game.
and they have their own manpower pool.
as you unlock more and more military tech, mercenaries get mor expensive.
around tech 8 you dont want to to have any more mercenaries if you dont need to
You made my day even better, thanks
I'm glad!
Does this first war peace deal still work? Seems like the 8 territories exceed maximum war score....I could just be doing it wrong. Great Videos BTW.
I declared war on France and all of their vassals were either 90%-100% liberty desire, I lost one battle and all of sudden they start swarming me even though they have high liberty desire. Does it only take losing one battle? I don't get why they are assisting France and sieging down my provinces
I made their vassals 100% disloyal and I waited like 20 years, they never rebelled, they were being supported by Castilla and me but they never did anything, so I attacked France with the help of Castilla and I lost, also I was bankrupt after that
I really do love Burgundian System. I'd like to see you conquering Germany so only true Burgundians live there!
Maybe one day!

Not the Urainian lands! 25:19
immediately tried it.
-not a single good advisor, still tried
-nevers gets independence supported from england immediately after seizing land, still recycled the run
-maine was ceded peacefully, still played
-lost 75% of my troops in the first battle due to bad RNG in a defensive battle, losing hope
-ruler dies 1446, ...
-TABLE FLIP and get drunk in the bar (not the one in eu4. the one in RL2.0)
not a single thing went according to plan >:(
if France gives Maine watch my older Burgundy guide, tehy did that in that video also and it still works. It's obvious all RNG but it's more about dealing with WTV situation u get tbh. I feel ya though, my initial plan in this run was completely different but had to mold myself on wtv happens during the inheritance :(
4:43 Yea, about not being able to sell crown lands with anymore...I'm assuming that was after the "France" update, but I looked through the patch notes and couldn't find a mention of it. Maybe I just missed it. My last 3 runs have all started off super frustrating because I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working anymore (also because I'm an idiot and forgot each time that it hadn't worked on the previous runs)
you need to have 10% to sell them. yes, the france update. irony seems strong here
first paragraph between the screen with the great project and the graph. just do ctrlF for "selling"
btw. you still can go for burger loans
@@derLeon16 Guess my wording was bad. Yes, of course you can still sell titles at 10%, that's working as it should. But the meta used to be to grant privileges at the start of the game to reduce your Crownlands to zero, develop once in order to get a small percentage, far less than 10%, then sell titles. I'm lamenting that loophole being closed.
Continent Europe? Check.
Historical Roman lands included? Check.

Hello from France
I may not have seen or heard but can you indicate which doctrine you recommend for the future thank you I love your content !
I love you Ludi
Why my secure the succession mission not having the imperial entrance?
Completing the mission directly make me join the HRE.
Ludi, in the first France war I got the event "a beloved heir dies" and Charles died. Can I still get the burgundian inheritance or do I need to restart?
restart
In France we say caen [kɑ̃] like "quand" or "camp" XDD
That was a lot more than 1 click
I’m playing with only Emperor DLC so I can’t use Champagne. I managed to get king of the Franks but am stuck with a coalition which Provence joined so I can’t even invade the, in peace. Do I restart or is there hope?

"I didn't lose anything. Maybe a little manpower. It's not a big loss. MEN ARE REPLACEABLE"
I hear it every day in Ukraine, when my russian friends turn on tv with Putin's speeches:)
No you don't.
What would you think about playing as the Rashidun caliphate in the ET mod?

Epic video lubius maximus
Great bideo but why did you attack the Ottomans but not take any lands for yourself?
diplovassalizing maybe or just weaken otto for later
dont placate nevers now, placate them after seizing land, royal marry them
Hi Ludi, how did you manage your gouvernance capacity in becoming a poor Duke in the HRE?
I was something like twice over my limite capacity....rush administrative? And for the record I did not even inherit of my French Vassals...
Ludi addressing the people complaining in the comments kills me
Ludi do you edit your own videos?
some I edit myself, some editors
isn't whether the Emperor lets you join based on their opinion of you? According to the wiki: "Ban their entry.
AI is 10 times more likely to choose this option, which is multiplied by 0 if it has an alliance with Burgundy, by 1.5 if it has an opinion of the Emperor of less than 0, and by 2 if it is a rival of Burgundy or Burgundy is a rival of it."
I want to do a Burgundy game somewhat soon, and this guide is mostly what I was thinking of, but more detailed (thanks for that). But I thought I'd insult the Austrians and such in order to make sure I get refused entry. Am I misunderstanding something?
for a bad joke on slovakia, make it a great moravian achievment! :D
hey ludi I think must try RAJPUTANA please
Caen is pronounced a bit like Con :)
Yes! and not Kaene 🤣 sorry ludi, your french is pretty good, its just french language who is difficult
But ludi France formed Rome on November 12 1444, what do I do?
In France we don't say Ka hen, we say Kan hihi
Please, Ludi, let us out of the basement! We're hitting the like button, we promise!
no >.
How do you deal with governing capacity once you join HRE and you get downgraded to duchy?
I am really asking this question in your normal videos ,not ones get so much view and gone popular, how many times did you get 10 k likes really ı am really looking forward to do next part of ulm and this video also.Besides you should dedrease your limit to do the sequel of a video.Even videos that watch most couldnt get 10 k likes
how to fix governing capacity after joining HRE I got almost full france with 500/200 and +100% ae modifier cant expand anymore
instead of doing government reforms you spend the points to get more governing capacity
and as you go through admin tech it unlocks more governing capacity
A Quick observatiom, take the mission of the Lorraine claims before the status, Just because nevers Will bê a litle bit more loyal
You said this many times: for xx k likes you will turn the game into a world conquest. And I liked everytime but where can I find those world conquest videos???
austria one is coming first out of all those, since it was the 1st to get the like goal, just take note I had 150 videos in my queue before that and i am literally making them as we speak....it takes a few days to make a video, if I rush them they're crap and nobody will enjoy them...also a world conquest takes 2 weeks plus to make and 2 or more to edit so be patient
Ludi this is BS I can't get those two provinces in the west of France!
burgundy is so fun for larping :))
it sure is
It took me until 1819 to get a female ruler for the Mary achievement on my run. Constant disinheriting and abdicating for about 150 years. RNG can be a bitch.
i let austria win in the imperial reclamation war because france declined to release the lowlands, and the austrians just released all the lowland states and left me without cores on them :(
Ludis pretty cute actually
Didnt you make similar episode before?
Pronunciation of Caen = Quand = qu'en = quant = camp. No excuse, that's ridiculously simple ...
@ludi et historia What are your thoughts on the added monarch points privileges vs the negative autonomy effects you get when you have low crown authority. Yes, the other negative effects really arent that bad (tax, absolutism, lib desire), but I feel like having a larger manpower limit due to a more stable autonomy level is better for early game in small countries. Especially if you have a decent ruler.
Easy to solve with Mercs.
@@kalterverwalter4516 i tend to stay away from mercs after my first couple wars as id rather have the professionalism for my army. on top of that you will still be dealing with the automony hit way later than those wars i mentioned. as autonomy doesnt grow quickly, especially with those negative buffs.
@@colinlarocque4686 Mercs are worth it Until Mil Tech 8 (Price). Besides That you have to decrease authonomy manually. And Ofc courthouses also Help a great Deal with Authonomy. However If you dont thrust your ability to Handle Low Crownland you should Not Give Out all Priveleges at once. Nope, they upped the war score cost. Can get Paris and the cores.
I can't even win the first war against france. They stack all of their troops plus provence and lorraine in like a 60k stack when they attack instead of the 10k stacks in the video.
